
Galway Lotto player scoops over €60,000 in bank holiday weekend draw
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw from Tesco, Athenry Shopping Centre, Athenry, Co. Galway.
The winning numbers in Saturday's night Lotto draw were: 2, 3, 6, 9, 24, 39 and the bonus was 34.
Darragh O'Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said: 'What a fantastic night for one player in Galway who has claimed a life-enhancing €60,394 after matching 5 numbers and the bonus in last night's main Lotto draw. If you bought your ticket in Galway, now's the time to double-check, you could be Ireland's newest big winner.'
The National Lottery is urging all players in the Galway area to check their tickets carefully and if you're holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
This is the fourth win in Galway over the past three weeks.
On July 15, one winner of the 'match five plus one lucky star' received €625,081 with a ticket purchased from Eurospar in Carraroe, County Galway.
One day later a Lotto Plus 2 player scooped a life-enhancing €250,000 prize with a ticket purchased from the Circle K at Newcastle Service Station, in Galway City.
While on July 20, someone won a whopping €314,850 Quick Pick ticket was purchased from XL in Laurel Park, Newcastle in Co Galway on July 13.

Coriander and hummus products recalled over listeria concerns
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a recall alert for a number of potted coriander products along with a single hummus product due to the possible presence of listeria monocytogenes. The recall affects nine potted coriander products provided by O'Hanlon Herbs to a range of major supermarkets including Aldi, Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Marks & Spencer and Supervalu. The affected product is a 150g pack of Tom & Ollie Traditional Hummus with batch code VG189 and a use by date of 8 August. Consumers are advised not to eat any of the implicated products. The FSAI has requested that retailers remove the products from sale, and display recall notices at point-of-sale. It has also requested that wholesalers contact affected customers, recall the relevant batch and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers. Caterers who may be in possession of the impacted products have been asked not to use them. The FSAI said that symptoms of listeria can include mild flu-like symptoms such as gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Symptoms can be more severe in rare cases, it added. Last week, batches of eight spinach, mixed leaves, rocket and lettuce products sold in Irish supermarkets were recalled due to the detection of listeria monocytogenes. Two further spinach products sold in Irish supermarkets were recalled in late July with seven spinach and mixed leaves products having been recalled previously. Over 200 ready-made meals produced by Ballymaguire Foods were also recalled last month.

Sligo online player scoops over one million euro in EuroMillions draw
The winning normal play ticket was bought on 19th July. The winning raffle ticket number was: I-SLF-56168. The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification and an email has been sent to the Sligo online player.
