Justin Timberlake Reveals Lyme Disease Diagnosis: ‘Relentlessly Debilitating'
Justin Timberlake is shedding light on his recent health struggles. In a candid Instagram post, the singer revealed he's been diagnosed with Lyme disease, describing the condition as 'relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.' While reflecting on the end of his Forget Tomorrow world tour, Timberlake shared his Lyme disease diagnosis in a July 31 Instagram post. The 44-year-old father of two said he felt compelled to share 'what's going on' with his health, despite being a 'pretty private person.' 'Among other things, I've been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease — which I don't say so you feel bad for me – but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes,' he said. 'If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you're aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure," The Mirrors singer continued, "But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going.' Timberlake said that by doing continuing on, he was able to prove his 'mental tenacity' to himself and 'now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget. I was reluctant to talk about this because I was always raised to keep something like this to yourself. But I am trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren't misinterpreted.' 'Sharing all of this with the hope that we can all find a way to be more connected. I'd like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too." he said, concluding his statement by thanking his crew, band and everyone who attended his tour, adding that they 'will forever leave me in awe. You have made my dreams come true.' He also shared a message for his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons. The couple has been married since 2012 and shares Silas, 10, and Phineas, 4. 'My heart is filled with gratitude! Love each other. Be good to each other. Don't take it for granted. To Jess, Silas, and Phin… nothing is more powerful than your unconditional love. You are my heart and my home. I'm on my way.' Timberlake's post comes after weeks of online speculation about his lackluster performances during the final stretch of his tour. One concertgoer's TikTok video shows Timberlake on stage in Transylvania, Romania, asking the audience to sing most of the lyrics to his hit song, 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' People in the comments joked that "the concert could have been an email," with one user noting that his "backing band" was giving "so much more energy" than he was. Some even said they would have wanted a refund due to Timberlake's lack of singing. The Forget Tomorrow World Tour kicked off in April 2024 and supported his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was (2024). Over the 15-month trek, Timberlake had to cancel several shows due to health issues, including the flu, a back injury bronchitis, and laryngitis. Timberlake is one of many celebrities who have been open about their Lyme disease diagnosis. Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne and Justin Bieber are among other stars who have battled the disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme disease is "a bacterial infection spread to people through the bite of blacklegged ticks.' Symptons can include fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash called erythema migrans. If untreated, the infection can spread to joints, the heart and the nervous system.

Trump's Ominous Prediction in Searing Stephen Colbert Rant
Donald Trump tore into 'lack of talent' Stephen Colbert in a seething rant where he denied involvement of The Late Show's cancelation and warned 'the other two' are next. The president wrote on Truth Social Tuesday that ratings for the late-night shows dictate their hosts' futures, claiming that the outlook for Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon didn't look good, either. 'Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night. That is not true!' Trump wrote. 'The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE!' CBS executives said in a statement announcing the cancellation of The Late Show that their decision was a financial one. They also rejected arguments that it had anything to do with CBS' parent company, Paramount, being on the verge of an acquisition by Skydance —one which the Federal Communications Commission had to approve. Colbert, who had called Paramount's settlement with Trump over a 60 Minutes segment on Kamala Harris a 'big fat bribe,' would soon be followed out the door by his peers on ABC and NBC, Trump said. 'Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon. The only real question is, who will go first?' he wondered. 'Show Biz and Television is a very simple business,' added the former Apprentice fixture. 'If you get Ratings, you can say or do anything. If you don't, you always become a victim. Colbert became a victim to himself, the other two will follow.' Kimmel shot back later on Instagram, bringing attention back to the president's relationship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. 'I know you're busy Sharpie-ing the Epstein files, but this seems like a weird way to tell people to watch Matt Damon and Ken Jennings on an all-new Who Wants to Be a Millionaire tomorrow night at 8|7c on @ABC,' he joked. Following The Late Show's cancellation, Kimmel criticized the network on the same platform: 'F--- you and all your Sheldons, CBS.' Meanwhile, Fallon said he was 'shocked' by the news. A week ago, Trump was on Truth Social treating the notion of their departures as almost inevitable. In that post, though, he wanted credit: 'I hope I played a major part in it!' Ratings-wise, Colbert's show bested Kimmel and Fallon during the second quarter of this year, with 2.4 million viewers compared to 1.8 million and 1.2 million, respectively—not a good sign for the pair, if Trump is correct. Justin Timberlake reveals Lyme disease struggle during BottleRock set
Pop superstar Justin Timberlake disclosed that he has been battling Lyme disease — a revelation he shared with fans in an Instagram post marking the end of his two-year Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which included stops at BottleRock Napa Valley and San Jose's SAP Center. 'This has been the most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience,' Timberlake wrote in the post on Thursday, July 31. 'As many of you know, I'm a pretty private person. But as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour — I want to tell you a little bit about what's going on with me.' Reflecting on the demanding schedule that took him across continents, Timberlake explained that symptoms including 'massive nerve pain,' 'crazy fatigue' and illness plagued him throughout the tour. Last September, the former NSYNC member also pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in New York's Hamptons earlier in 2024. The diagnosis, the 44-year-old Memphis native said, finally gave a name to what he had been enduring. Lyme disease, a bacterial infection transmitted through tick bites, can be severely debilitating if left untreated. Though most cases respond to antibiotics, lingering symptoms are not uncommon. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Justin Timberlake (@justintimberlake) Timberlake, best known for hits such as 'Cry Me a River' and 'SexyBack,' admitted he considered ending the tour early but chose to persevere. 'I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going,' he wrote. 'Not only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself but, I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget.' Known for maintaining a low profile offstage, Timberlake said he felt compelled to open up. 'I was reluctant to talk about this because I was always raised to keep something like this to yourself,' he wrote. 'But I am trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren't misinterpreted.' Timberlake added, 'Sharing all of this with the hope that we can all find a way to be more connected. I'd like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too.' He closed the post with a message of gratitude to fans, his band, wife Jessica Biel and their two sons. 'My heart is filled with gratitude!' Timberlake wrote. 'Love each other. Be good to each other. Don't take it for granted. To Jess, Silas, and Phin… nothing is more powerful than your unconditional love. You are my heart and my home. I'm on my way.' With no clear word on future performances, Timberlake hinted at a pause — but not an end — to his time onstage. 'I honestly don't know what my future is onstage but I'll always cherish this run!,' he wrote. 'And all of them before! It's been the stuff of LEGEND for me.' Timberlake launched his Forget Tomorrow tour in April 2024, roughly a month after releasing his album 'Everything I Thought It Was.' By late May, when he headlined BottleRock, the tour had propelled him to the No. 10 spot on Billboard's midyear Boxscore report, with a reported $73.2 million gross across 41 performances.
