After two years of waiting, the third instalment of the series has landed on Amazon Prime, and it's delivering all the teen, rom com vibes we could ever want. Season three takes place almost four years after the events of season 2 - meaning our fave characters are all grown up. It follows Belly, played by Lola Tung, who is in a long-term relationship with Jeremiah, played by Gavin Casalegno. Their feelings for each other are thrown into question by the arrival of her ex Conrad, played by Christopher Briney. But alongside familiar faces, we've also met some new characters for season three. One of these is Lucinda Jewel, a single-mum to Taylor, with the two sharing a tight bond in the show. Lucinda is portrayed on screen Kristen Connolly - but where might have you seen her before? Kristen Connolly is an American actress who was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey. She began her career with recurring roles on digital shorts for CollegeHumour, and was an extra on the films Mona Lisa Smile, Meet Dave, and The Happening. She appeared on two CBS daytime soap operas, Guiding Light and As the World Turns, before taking on bigger screen roles. She also starred in the HBO movie about disgraced financier Bernie Madoff, The Wizard of Lies, alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro. In a 2019 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Connolly addressed starring in horror films. 'I enjoy scary movies, but I wouldn't say I'm an avid fan. I love both shows for different reasons, but it wasn't a deliberate decision,' she told the outlet. 'As an actor just starting out, I just want to work on projects that are, hopefully, good. I had no idea it would happen, so I'm like, 'Huh. I keep landing in these things! What's up ?' And The Cabin in the Woods was so much fun. This week's episode was titled Last Stand saw more friction between Belly (played by Lola Tung) and Laurel (Jackie Chung) after her mother refused to go wedding dress shopping with her and the marriage ceremony itself. She was living with her mother in Philadelphia after Laurel took her home following Belly and Jeremiah's bombshell engagement announcement last week. Although Belly was struggling to get people on board for the wedding, it looked like Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) was making some progress after both Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Conrad (Christopher Briney) agreed to be his best man. I feel like I've really grown with Taylor and just with everyone. We started in 2021. It's been years. 'I'm a different person now and it's been completely life-changing and wonderful to grow with Taylor. It's been an enormous part of my life and I'm so grateful.' While Kaufman said: 'Being with Steven for this many years and so many seasons has just felt so fulfilling. I have never had an experience like this before, where I've been with a character for so long. 'Not only that, but being with a character through so much physical time and physical growth. I think that being with any character for years, there's inherently going to be a little bit of Steven in me and a bit of me in Steven and that is undeniable. You can't change that. 'I think it's also wonderful to be able to craft an arc. I love to look back at season one and look at where Steven started and where he's at by the end of season three and see that beautiful arc come in, it just really is fulfilling.' Sharing what fans could expect from the final outing, lead Tung said there would be 'heartbreak' but also 'a lot of fun moments'. Tung added there would be some 'juicy' bits as well as a 'jump in time' as the characters all grew up. Co-showrunner and creator Han said: 'Great music and there's songs I've been wanting to save for this final season. There's artists we're getting to feature for the first time. I think that's hopefully going to be very exciting for the fans.'

'TikTok's perfect face trend is a fast track to making people feel like they're not good enough'
Editing celebrities' faces to fit a 'perfect' mould has become a popular trend online, regularly gaining millions of viewers. But a beauty expert warns it could be damaging people's self esteem We're taught that beauty is subjective – but is it? As part of a popular online trend, creators are editing celebrity faces to fit a 'perfect face' template. But how does it affect the audience watching it? If you type 'perfect face' into the TikTok search bar, you'll be instantly met with hundreds of videos from a multitude of creators. They all follow a similar format: they take a front-facing photo of a popular celebrity and then place a 'perfect face' template over it, before using editing software to warp their features to fit. They then reveal a 'before' and 'after', which in many cases shows the celebrity contrasted with a face almost unrecognisable to their own. One of the most popular of these accounts is @artgasmm, a digital artist with over 34K followers and whose videos regularly rack up millions of views. Some of the most recent subjects include Lola Tung and Christopher Briney, stars of The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Jojo Siwa. While, together, these videos drew almost 10 million viewers, many of the commenters have expressed their upset and discomfort with the warped features. Under Jojo's video, one wrote: 'She's a beautiful girl, don't think she needs you describing what her perfect face would be." Another said: 'Hey so let's not normalise this perfect face s**t…can you not see the damage a filter like this could do to young people???' Viewers were also upset under the comment section of Lola Tung's video. Commenters pointed out that the actress, who is biracial, appeared more European after having the filter applied. 'Good to know having a perfect face means erasing any feature that isn't white,' one user wrote. But where does it come from? The perfect face template is based on the 'Golden Ratio', which dates back to Ancient Greece and which is supposedly a mathematically accurate formula for beauty. It's basically an attempt to measure attractiveness through facial symmetry. However, this Euro-centric beauty ideal often doesn't fit many different faces and (quite literally) doesn't make room for unique features. This can be incredibly problematic, especially if it's part of media women are regularly consuming. She says: 'These 'perfect face' edits might look slick on TikTok, but they're a fast track to making people feel like they're not good enough. As a makeup artist, I work with women every day who already feel under pressure to look a certain way, and this just adds fuel to the fire.' She adds: 'You're taking real faces and editing them to fit a mould that doesn't actually exist in real life. Even the celebrities being edited wouldn't recognise themselves. It pushes this idea that beauty has to mean flawless skin, high cheekbones, big eyes, a tiny nose, and anything outside of that doesn't measure up.'
