Price had survived a major scare in his last-16 tie as Wessel Nijman missed two match darts. The former rugby player went on to ease past world number one Luke Humphries and Chris Dobey, dropping just three legs in each contest.Two-time World Champion Andersen beat Krzysztof Ratajski, Andy Baetens, Jonny Clayton and James Wade on his way to the final."To get to the final of any tournament is great, so I'll pat myself on the back," said Anderson."Gezzy has been playing really well, and he played really well throughout the whole tournament, but we'll be back."The player's attention now turns to the Betfred World Matchplay, 19-27 July, a trophy 2021 world champion Price is yet to win."I've lost in the final before, so now I need to lift that trophy," said Price, who was runner-up to Michael van Gerwen in 2022."I won in Poland, so to come here and win here definitely puts me in good stead ahead of the World Matchplay."I'm playing really well at the moment, but it's all on the day. There are so many good players in the tournament, so anybody can win it."

'I thought that he was going to exit the stage'

In one of the stranger moments of the Club World Cup final, Chelsea captain Reece James has been explaining how US president Donald Trump ended up in the trophy lift had been at the match alongside Fifa president Gianni Infantino and was part of the trophy presentation ceremony at the many expected 79-year-old to leave the stage after handing over the trophy to the Blues captain, he initially stayed as James lifted the piece of asked about the situation after the match, James said: "I think the first thing I have to say is that it probably highlights how big the tournament is."The coverage for the tournament and the final was huge."Answering your question, before, they told me that he was going to present the trophy and then exit the stage, and I thought that he was going to exit the stage, but he wanted to stay."Chelsea had been labelled underdogs for the final against reigning European champions Paris St-Germain, but shook off the tag to stun the French side feels this is a "statement" victory that can give them a platform to build from going into the new season."I think for sure we are moving in the right direction, you know, winning this trophy against such good opposition," he added. "It's a big statement. Record-breaking Klidje deal 'underpins Hibs desire'

We asked for your views after Hibernian broke their transfer record to sign Togo striker Thibault Klidje from fee is undisclosed, but Hibs' previous record was the purchase of Ecuadorian defender Ulises de La Cruz back in 2001 for a fee of around £700, how some of you reacted:John: Klidje looks a great signing. Pace, power and guile and he's already proven himself in a good league. Watching his highlights there is more than a touch of Martin Boyle about him, which can only be a good thing. Great to see the club showing ambition and backing David Must be some player if Hibs splash that amount of cash on him. Good luck!Disco: It's an ambitious but risky signing. Then again so were Dylan Vente and Elias Melkersen and we made profit on them when it didn't work out. Just need one more striker plus Nectar Triantis and we're good 'Togo'.Mark: I worry a bit about this kind of signing, considering how much money we have wasted since the Gordon family took over. A lot of our more expensive signings haven't really worked out. Hopefully Malky MacKay and Gray know what they are doing here, and at least Gray has shown he can get more out of players than our previous managers. I do wonder why we'd spend £1m or so on a gamble from abroad, though, when we could have had the likes of Sam Dalby for Can only hope he hits the ground running, unlike the other "big" signings we've had in previous seasons. Seen some fans of rival teams laughing about his rating on Fifa, they won't be laughing when he puts a few away against We are winning the This signing underpins our desire to kick on after our great finish last season. The Gordon family have stepped up in my opinion. Very Hopefully the real deal, and not another guy who looks good on a few YouTube videos. But got to give the boy a chance to adapt to Scottish football and the media scrutiny.
