US Darts Masters prize money 2025: How much is up for grabs in New York City?

THE world's best players are in The Big Apple for the US Darts Masters - and the winner will be leaving a little bit richer. Rob Cross battled back from 6-4 and 7-6 down to beat Gerwyn Price 8-7 in a sensational 2024 final. 1 The Englishman revealed that he was 'very grateful' to claim his fourth World Series title. And he would have been even happier to see his bank account increase by £20,000 just for winning the showpiece match alone. But Cross, 34, will have to overcome some of the world's best once again if he is to receive another payday this weekend. Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, who both have a chip on their shoulder following their recent shock early World Cup of Darts exit, are among a stacked field for the US Darts Masters. US Darts Masters prize money 2025 This year's total prize pot will match the amount of money available during the 2024 edition. Meaning that the overall sum tallies up to a whopping £60,000. The biggest party in sports descends on the Big Apple this weekend. The 2025 U.S. Darts Masters, the lone PDC tournament held in the States, gets underway Friday at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The tournament features 16 players – eight from the PDC and eight North American qualifiers – vying for the title. Luke Littler, the current World Champion, is the betting favorite to win the tournament. 'The Nuke' sits at +175 odds at bet365, putting him just ahead of World No. 1 Luke Humphries, who is currently priced at +350. Gerwyn 'Ice Man' Price (+550), Michael 'MVG' van Gerwen (+650) and Stephen 'The Bullet' Bunting (+900) are the only other players tagged with single-digit odds for the tournament. The format for the tournament heavily favors the PDC players, as they play a North American qualifier in Round 1, but we have seen some surprises on the stage at MSG in the past. Two years ago Jeff Smith, who was a triple-digit long shot before the tournament, made it all the way to the final before losing to van Gerwen. Last year's winner, Rob Cross, had 16/1 odds before the tournament started. Welsh darts player Gerwyn Price celebrates. AP 2025 U.S. Darts Masters picks Gerwyn Price (+550, bet365) A former world champion, Gerwyn Price, is having a resurgent 2025 season after he fell off the boil a bit in 2024. The Welshman came up short in the Premier League semifinals against Littler, but he was one of the most consistent players throughout the competition and was a finalist in the 2025 World Cup of Darts earlier this month. Of the players in the single-digits, Price has the most value to win this tournament. Get the lowdown on the Best USA Sports Betting Sites and Apps Damon Heta (12/1, bet365) Most of the elite players in the world can handle a big stage, but none may love it more than Damon 'The Heat' Heta. In a sport full of massive personalities, Heta may be the biggest of the lot. The Australian is still searching for his first solo major title (he did win the 2022 World Cup of Darts with Simon Whitlock), but he's been knocking on the door for quite a while. Heta should relish the opportunity to play in front of a raucous crowd at MSG this weekend, and he will benefit from a draw that will see him avoid Littler until the semifinals. Humphries clears up Price's comments about him and Littler after World Cup loss

Luke Humphries has responded to Gerwyn Price's comments on him and England World Cup team-mate Luke Littler, after the pair were surprisingly dumped out of the tournament Luke Humphries has hit back at Gerwyn Price 's claim that he and Luke Littler weren't a unified team at the World Cup, insisting that the Welshman was wrong. The English pair were the clear favourites going into the tournament earlier this month. They had also entered Germany - the location of the tournament - as the reigning world champions, with Humphries having won the previous edition last year alongside Michael Smith after defeating Austria 10-6. ‌ However, they were left stunned after falling to a surprising defeat in the second round to Germany, with Ricardo Pietreczko and Martin Schindler securing an 8-4 victory. In what was their first match of the tournament, Humphries and Littler made a speedy return back to England from Frankfurt. ‌ While England were left lamenting their failure to defend their crown, Wales stormed to a resounding 8-2 win over the Philippines on the same day, thanks to Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton. The Welsh duo were in exceptional form throughout the tournament, eventually making it to the final after triumphs over Hong Kong and the Netherlands. These wins led to a showdown with Northern Ireland, who, represented by Daryl Gurney and Josh Rock, clinched their first ever World Cup title in a narrow 10-9 victory. Following their defeat, Price criticised the disappointment shown by Humphries and Littler, attributing their failure to a lack of unity between them, reports the Express. "I think you need to have a connection," he said. "You need to have that camaraderie off the stage and connection because when we all turned on the first day - and I'm not just saying this because they lost - but the only two players that didn't turn up together, didn't sit together, didn't play as a team. "I'm not saying who they are but they didn't win their first game. You need to turn up together, you need to be as a team. You turn up as a team, you practice together, you sit together. It's a team ethic and it didn't show with England. "It showed on the board. They're great players individually but you need to be as a team. I wanted them to do well, but they didn't. I'm not just saying that! I wanted them to do well, but they were rubbish." ‌ At the US Masters on Thursday, Humphries responded to speculation about his partnership with Littler at the World Cup. The 2025 Premier League winner addressed comments indirectly referencing Price's remarks, assuring fans that they were indeed a united front. "There was a lot of talk about me and Luke not being a team, but coming from the horse's mouth, I can assure you we were a team," he told Online Darts. "We were. We didn't arrive at the same time, no, because I said not to. "I told Luke, 'Do your own thing.' There's no point in us trying to change the ways we play. He gets there about two hours before, I get there four hours before. I need more practice, he don't. "So I said to Luke, 'Just do what you do before, don't change yourself for me.' All that stuff about us not being a team was not true. We were well up for playing together, we got along really well. It just didn't happen and that's it."
