KTM 390 Adventure X Updated With Cruise Control And Riding Modes In India

News184 days ago
KTM has introduced the updated version of the KTM 390 Adventure X with advanced features to further bolster the sale of the model launched in India in February.
Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen, popularly known as KTM, has launched an updated version of the 390 Adventure X, packed with advanced features aimed at enhancing the riding experience. The latest iteration now comes equipped with cruise control, cornering traction control, and cornering ABS, along with three riding modes – Street, Rain, and Off-road.
Although the bike's overall design remains the same as the model introduced in India in February 2025, the major upgrades lie in its functionality. The refreshed 390 Adventure X now features new switchgear, including a dedicated button for cruise control and a toggle switch to adjust the cruising speed.
Under the hood, the motorcycle continues to sport the 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 45 BHP and 39 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring the same performance KTM fans have come to expect.
Equipped with a telescopic fork in the front and a mono-shock in the rear, the updated 390 Adventure X rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres and has disc brakes at both ends in its braking system. The KTM 390 Adventure X update will maintain the on-road characteristics of the previous model while handling off-road conditions better.
The addition of different riding modes offers bike riders an enhanced experience, providing various throttle maps depending on the rider's needs. The riders can expect better control in different conditions and on different types of terrains. KTM is also offering a switchgear from the standard model to switch between modes. Bike riders will get the cruise control button and can also use the toggle switch for speed control.
Indian bike riders, who have been enjoying the KTM 390 Adventure X since the start of the year, can expect a pocket-friendly switch to the enhanced version of the model that is available at a starting price of Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom), only Rs 12,000 higher than the previous version. When launched in February, the bike came with an initial price of Rs 2.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). Through the upgraded model, KTM India is hoping to solidify its presence in the Indian auto market scene and rival some of the other leading manufacturing brands available in the country.

India's agri-tech sector to reach 600 million dollar by CY29: Report

New Delhi: India's agri-tech sector is on track to reach 600 million dollars in investments by calendar year 2029, a new report said on Thursday. The data compiled by 1Lattice shows that the sector is expected to grow at a steady annual rate of around 6 per cent -- reflecting renewed investor interest and long-term confidence in agricultural innovation. After a brief slowdown in funding post-2022, the sector is showing signs of strong recovery. Agri-tech has evolved significantly in recent years, with a major spike in entrepreneurship during the pandemic. In 2020 alone, 572 new agri-tech startups were launched as the agriculture sector began turning to digital-first solutions to tackle disruptions. Funding rounds increased from just 53 in 2019 to a peak of 101 in 2022. While the number of deals has now stabilised at around 60 to 70 per year, the focus has shifted. Investors are now looking for business models that are not only innovative but also scalable and ready for execution, rather than backing early-stage experiments. Several factors are fueling this growth. Impact investors, who focus on sustainability, are becoming more active. Digital tools like Agristack and the electronic National Agriculture Market (eNAM) are improving transparency and efficiency across the supply chain. There is also growing demand for Indian crops, both at home and overseas. Technology is playing a big role in this transformation. From AI-powered data tools to smart irrigation systems, innovation is helping farmers use resources better, increase productivity, and deal with climate-related challenges. The study suggests that as capital continues to flow into the sector and digital infrastructure strengthens, agri-tech will become a key part of India's journey toward more sustainable and modern agriculture. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said that the startups in agriculture are intelligently blending traditional organic farming practices with technology to drive livelihood opportunities in rural areas. Addressing the "Natural and Organic Farmers Summit 2025" in April this year, the Minister lauded the efforts of grassroots innovators and farmer-entrepreneurs who are embracing science to scale up agriculture, enhance productivity, and ensure sustainable incomes.

Bitcoin bet makes microcap stock double money in 3 months, hits upper circuit for 13th day

Shares of Jetking Infotrain , a little-known Mumbai-based microcap firm, extended their gravity-defying rally on Thursday, rising 2% to hit the upper circuit for the 13th time this month. With Thursday's move, the stock has soared 135.7% in just over three months, driven almost entirely by a bold treasury pivot into Bitcoin. Jetking's shares were trading at a fresh 52-week high of Rs 235.40 on Thursday, more than doubling from Rs 99.89 on April 11. The year-to-date gain now stands at 104.2%, while the 12-month return is an eye-popping 309.4%, catapulting the company's market capitalisation to Rs 139.06 crore. On Thursday, Bitcoin was trading at $118,631.29. Jetking holds 21 Bitcoins on its books, now valued at around Rs 21.40 crore—equivalent to over 15% of its market cap. A crypto pivot in a cautious market Jetking first signaled its shift towards digital assets late last year when it adopted Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset. In a country where listed firms typically avoid cryptocurrency exposure, Jetking's move stood out. Earlier this year, the company raised Rs 6.10 crore through a preferential allotment of 3.96 lakh shares at Rs 154 each. While it did not disclose the identity of the investors, Jetking confirmed that it had deployed the entire proceeds—along with a portion of its internal accruals—towards acquiring Bitcoin. By March 31, the company held 15.02 Bitcoins. That number rose to 21 by May 28, purchased at an average price of Rs 64.65 lakh apiece. The current value of these holdings has ballooned thanks to Bitcoin's sharp rally, now representing a sizeable chunk of Jetking's overall market capitalisation. Fundamentals take a back seat The company's core business—IT hardware training—has seen only modest growth. For the March 2025 quarter, Jetking reported net sales of Rs 5.4 crore, up from Rs 4.4 crore a year earlier. However, the bottom line remains in the red, with a net loss of Rs 1.3 crore, compared to a Rs 0.6 crore loss in March 2024. Despite these fundamentals, the stock has become a trader favourite, often moving in daily circuits. Throughout May and into July, Jetking's shares have mostly hit 2% upper circuits, with only a handful of sessions seeing any downside. A Tesla-style treasury play Jetking's Bitcoin strategy evokes comparisons with U.S. tech firms like Tesla, which have famously diversified into crypto. But in India's tightly regulated, crypto-wary environment, such a move remains highly unusual—especially for a company of Jetking's size. By leveraging its balance sheet to gain exposure to Bitcoin, Jetking has delivered outsized returns to its investors, even as its core business remains modest. Whether this rally sustains will now depend as much on crypto market sentiment as on company fundamentals. Also read | MobiKwik shares down 61% from peak, charts hint at upside till Rs 300.
