Ray-Ban and Meta have officially introduced their smart glasses in India, bringing together traditional eyewear design with built-in artificial intelligence tools. Priced from Rs 29,900, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are now available for pre-order on Ray-Ban.com, with wider availability at select optical and sunglasses stores starting May 19. The glasses include Meta AI integration, allowing users to issue voice commands using the phrase 'Hey Meta.' This enables hands-free access to a range of tasks — such as asking general questions, identifying landmarks, or receiving cooking suggestions — without needing to look at a screen.advertisementOne of the notable features of the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses is its live language translation, which supports English, Spanish, French, and Italian. According to Meta, this feature can work even in airplane mode, provided the necessary language packs have been downloaded in advance. When activated, users can hear translated speech in real time through the glasses, while the person on the other end can read or hear the translation on their phone.In terms of design, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are available in the familiar Wayfarer style (in standard and large sizes), along with a new frame called Skyler, designed for a more inclusive fit.
