Kim Kardashian Won the 2025 Met Gala After-Parties Thanks to This Sexy Celebrity Favorite Designer

Vogue06-05-2025
Given its status as fashion's biggest night of the year, there's often a lot of pressure on stars to deliver on the Met Gala red carpet. But the after-parties offer a space to let loose a little, serving up some memorable looks over the years, from Kendall Jenner's angelic vintage Alexander McQueen for Givenchy dress from spring 1997 to Bella Hadid's barely-there lingerie-inspired ensemble by Dilara Fındıkoğlu.
In fact, this year, Kim Kardashian turned to Fındıkoğlu again for the Met Gala after-parties. The Skims founder wore a custom black leather dress featuring a sheer corset and lace-up detailing, offering a more sultry take on the night's 'Tailored for You' theme, in comparison to the off-the-shoulder Chrome Hearts number that she wore on the red carpet.
The Turkish-born, London-based designer has become an increasingly popular choice among A-listers, as seen during awards season this year. Charli xcx wore a sheer black number from Fındıkoğlu's fall 2025 collection at the Brit Awards, while Rosalía and Julia Fox both wore the designer's naked dresses at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
Given that Fındıkoğlu holds an annual Halloween ball that she's previously described as 'my own Met Gala', it's perhaps no surprise that her creations are such a popular choice on the first Monday of May, too—and a perfect one for Ms Kim Kardashian.

From Roman London, a Jigsaw Puzzle for the Ages

The jigsaw puzzles that Han Li assembles at the Museum of London Archaeology, or M.O.L.A., are as bewildering as a Latin riddle. Mr. Li, a building-material specialist at the institution, has spent much of the year laying out 'thousands upon thousands upon thousands' of fragments of painted wall plaster that date to the early Roman occupation of the area around London, which began in A.D. 43. Mr. Li's task would confound even jigsaw buffs. The cardboard puzzles familiar from summer camp had straight edges and corners, and you could work from the outside in. The delicate fragments that Mr. Li and his team of conservators are refashioning have irregular edges and form no apparent border. Pieces are embellished with images of lyres, candelabras, flowers, white cranes and native plants. One is illustrated with the face of a woman in tears, recognizable by her Flavian-period (A.D. 69 to 96) hairstyle. Four years ago, the plaster was recovered during an excavation at a construction site in Southwark, just south of the Thames. The scraps filled 120 assorted boxes. Mr. Li's job is to carefully arrange, categorize and restore the original artwork. The frescoes that have emerged, the most colossal of which measures 16 feet by 10 feet, were hidden from view for more than 1,800 years. The museum's haul of discarded Roman-era plaster is the largest ever amassed in the English capital. Rob Symmons, the curator of the extravagant Fishbourne Roman Palace in West Sussex, called the site 'a discovery of the first magnitude.' It is not unusual for painted wall plaster to be recovered from Roman archaeological sites, but rarely is it found in quantities that it was in Southwark, he said: 'Also, it's unusual for excavators to have the time and expertise to attempt reconstructions like the one that Han undertook.' Kate Middleton's Self-Portrait dress for The Championships, Wimbledon generated $918,000 in media impact value for the British brand, according to a new report from Launchmetrics. Overall, Middleton's attendance for the ladies' and gentlemen's singles finals generated $36 million in MIV for the tournament. (MIV is a proprietary metric that assigns a true monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media in order to calculate ROI.) The Princess of Wales wore the ivory look for the ladies' singles final between Iga Świątek of Poland and American Amanda Anisimova at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on July 12. To complement her ivory Self-Portrait dress, Middleton wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps and Cartier jewelry. For last year's edition of the grand slam, Middleton wore a purple Safiyaa dress. The look generated $4.8 million in MIV for the label. According to Launchmetrics, the 2025 edition of the tennis grand slam generated $1.1 billion in MIV — a 23 percent increase from 2024. Ralph Lauren, Wimbledon's official outfitter since 2006, saw the highest media value of all the brands present — $22.5 million — a 20 percent increase from 2024. Jannik Sinner, the Wimbledon gentlemen's singles champion, generated $9.1 million in media impact value. Throughout the 2025 edition of the tournament, Middleton was also seen in a cobalt blue midi dress by Roksanda, which she wore for the gentlemen's singles final on July 13. The Princess of Wales' dress coordinated with the attire worn by her family, including Prince William, who styled a navy blazer. The couple's eldest son, Prince George, wore a similar look to his father's, and Princess Charlotte wore a bespoke dress by Sarah Burton — a favorite designer of Middleton. Queen Camilla Just Made a Rare & Subtle Nod to Princess Diana Years After Her Charles Cheating Scandal

While fans are used to Kate Middleton channeling Princess Diana with her fashion, no one expected Queen Camilla, the wife of Diana's ex-husband King Charles, to also pay homage to the late Princess of Wales. Camilla channeled Diana at the Royal Ascot on June 21, where she wore a tunic dress with geometric embroidery, a floral wide-brimmed hat, and white pump heels. What was the most interesting, however, was that Camilla chose to accessorize her look with a Lady Dior handbag—a quilted top handle purse that was named after Princess Diana, who used to go by Lady Di. The bag was originally named the Chouchou or Princesse, however, after Diana was seen wearing it at several public engagements, Dior changed the handbag's name to the Lady Dior in of Camilla wearing the Lady Dior come almost 40 years afteer news broke of Charles and Camilla's affair in 1986. (Camilla,at the time, was married to Andrew Parker Bowles.) Diana addressed rumors of the affair in her infamous BBC One Panorama interview in 1995. 'There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded,' she said. Charles and Diana separated in 1992 before finalizing their divorce in 1996, a year before Diana's death in a tragic car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997. According to The Telegraph, an audiotape Diana made for her biographer, Andrew Morton (who wrote Diana: Her True Story), revealed that Diana confronted Camilla about the affair at a party. 'I know what's going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that. She said to me: 'You've got everything you ever wanted. You've got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you've got two beautiful children, what more do you want?' So I said, 'I want my husband.' And I said, 'I'm sorry I'm in the way…and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what's going on. Don't treat me like an idiot,'' she said in the tape. Charles, for his part, spoke out about the rumors in a documentary in 1994. When asked about whether he had been 'faithful and honorable' to Diana in their marriage, Charles told filmmakers, 'Yes, yes…until it became irretrievably broken down, us both having tried.' When asked about his relationship with Camilla, Charles maintained that the two were friends before their relationship became romantic. 'She has been a friend for a very long time—and will continue to be a friend for a very long time,' he said.
