Chelsea Clinton And Megyn Kelly Go To War Over Texas Relief Efforts
The former Fox News anchor took aim at Clinton after the former First Daughter posted about her family's philanthropic response to .
The clash between Megyn Kelly and Chelsea Clinton unfolded on X (formerly Twitter) in a heated showdown last week.
"Members of the @ClintonGlobal community are on the ground in Texas, supporting families, communities, and ongoing search and rescue efforts," Chelsea wrote in a post, listing several organizations participating in the relief.
But it didn't take long for critics to flood the replies with accusations.
Social media users slammed the Clinton Foundation, reviving decade-old claims about alleged misuse of funds in post-earthquake Haiti and questioning the family's historic ties to , who, according to his lawyers, helped conceive the Clinton Global Initiative back in 2005.
Megyn Kelly clearly enjoyed the pile-on, reposting Clinton's message with a jab of her own, 'The responses to this is AMAZING.'
Chelsea didn't back down, tagging Kelly in a direct clapback. 'Hi Megyn, I'm sure any of the organizations I mentioned which are on the ground in Texas would welcome your support," she said. "I'd be happy to put you in touch directly. We all need to support those impacted by the tragic floods in Kerr County and surrounding areas.'
That only fueled Kelly's fire. 'Chelsea, what we are seeing in the replies to your post is that while you love to play fake philanthropist, absolutely no one wants your family of grifters anywhere near those suffering in Texas, Haiti or anywhere else,' she wrote.
In a final attempt to defend herself and the foundation, Clinton replied, 'I don't receive a cent & never have from these or @ClintonFdn. Supporting vital work in Texas matters most now. Hope you will highlight relief efforts on your @x timeline, apologies if I missed them, and show.'
Kelly didn't respond further, but the replies to Clinton's post stayed lit with criticism. Many doubled down on long-standing conspiracy theories, despite the fact that the Clinton Foundation was exonerated in 2019 following several federal investigations.
As for the Epstein connection, his legal team once admitted he had a hand in launching the Clinton Global Initiative during plea negotiations in 2007.
'Mr. Epstein was part of the original group that conceived the Clinton Global Initiative, which is described as a project 'bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges,'' attorneys Alan Dershowitz and Gerald Lefcourt wrote in a letter, per Daily Caller, that resurfaced years later.
While Epstein's name was never officially listed in CGI's founding documents, Lefcourt doubled down on his client's role in the initiative's formation during a 2016 interview with ABC News.
The initiative, launched in 2005 as a branch of the Clinton Foundation, was designed to connect world leaders to address major global issues.
Epstein also donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2006 through his own charity, following a close personal relationship with Bill Clinton that began during a high-profile trip to Africa in 2002.
Epstein died in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.
While the online war of words between Megyn Kelly and Chelsea Clinton grabbed national attention, the situation on the ground in Texas remains dire.
Just 10 days after catastrophic flooding claimed at least 132 lives across the state, central Texas was hit with another round of relentless rain over the weekend. In Kerr County alone, where Chelsea initially directed her relief message, 106 people were killed after the Guadalupe River surged more than 20 feet on July 4.
The devastation has only continued. Over the weekend, an additional 6 to 10 inches of rainfall caused rivers like the Llano, Lampasas, and San Saba to overflow, prompting more evacuations and stalling ongoing search and rescue operations.
As the flood crisis unfolds, it's clear the focus must return to the lives lost, the people still missing, and the families in urgent need of help.

Jacob Frey's campaign challenging Minneapolis DFL endorsement of Omar Fateh
The Brief Jacob Frey is challenging the Minneapolis DFL's endorsement of Omar Fateh as the city's next mayor. Frey's campaign alleges only 578 votes were counted in the first round of balloting, when more than 1,000 delegates and alternates were checked in. Frey made his first public appearance since on Monday, but did not address the result. MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minneapolis DFL held its convention on Saturday at Target Center, and Jacob Frey did not get the endorsement for mayor. That instead went to State Senator Omar Fateh. Frey has been the mayor of Minneapolis since 2018. What we know Frey made his first public appearance since the DFL convention on Monday as state leaders gathered to celebrate the reopening of the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis. He made celebratory comments about the bridge and did not take any questions before leaving the event. Frey's wife is due with a child. Frey to file endorsement challenge Mayor Frey's campaign released a statement after the vote at the DFL convention. "This election should be decided by the entire city rather than the small group of people who became delegates, particularly in light of the extremely flawed and irregular conduct of this convention. Voters will now have a clear choice between the records and leadership of Sen. Fateh and Mayor Frey. We look forward to taking our vision to the voters in November." Why you should care On Monday, Frey's campaign filed a challenge to those results with the Minnesota DFL Party. Campaign officials say the challenge centers on the extraordinarily high number of missing or uncounted votes. They say the voting system is "highly flawed" and "untested." Frey's campaign says 578 votes were counted in the mayoral ballot, despite more than 1,000 delegates and alternates being checked in at the time of the first ballot. Frey Campaign Manager Sam Schulenberg said,"Everyone who endured this multi-hour convention process deserved to have their voices heard. DFL leaders, delegates, and voters across our city and party are filing challenges to ensure that the inaccurate balloting of the convention does not create a permanent rift in our party. In an overwhelmingly Democratic city like Minneapolis, there is no reason to push through a DFL endorsement using a highly flawed process that clearly missed or did not count a large percentage of the votes cast." 'It will work its way out' What they're saying Gov. Tim Walz was also at Monday's event, and was asked about Frey not getting the endorsement. "Some of you know my history with endorsements, I don't put a lot of time on them. Party does the party work, the rest of us who are there. We'll take a look at everything on that and it will work its way out," Walz said. "I would just say that I have had the privilege of working with Mayor Frey for quite a few years here. We'll talk." Texas Parents and Fossil Free Media's Make Polluters Pay Campaign Hold Memorial Outside White House After Deadly Flooding
WASHINGTON, July 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Texas parents gathered outside the White House for a solemn memorial and press conference following the catastrophic flooding in Kerr County that claimed more than 120 lives, including 27 children attending summer camp. Organized by impacted families and the Make Polluters Pay, a campaign by Fossil Free Media, the memorial featured a powerful visual display of 27 children's camp trunks on the Ellipse Lawn—each representing a young life lost. Parents placed yellow roses atop the trunks in silence before delivering impassioned remarks demanding federal accountability and urgent action to protect children from worsening climate-driven disasters. The ceremony concluded with a stirring performance by a local choir, who sang 'Lean on Me' and 'Rise Like the Water' as families stood arm in arm, calling for justice and change. Parents directly blamed the Trump administration's cuts to disaster preparedness and early warning systems, including FEMA, NOAA, and the National Weather Service, which they say left communities vulnerable. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who chairs the Senate Commerce Committee, recently inserted language into H.R. 1 that slashed millions from NOAA programs essential for flood forecasting and public alerts. 'We know that this administration, by destroying renewable energy and using our tax dollars to prop up the fossil fuel industry, an industry that earned $102 billion dollars last year, is doing everything it can to supercharge this climate crisis,' said Texan and mom Samantha Gore. 'To also be defunding our NWS and NOAA, the agencies we use to keep our children safe, at the same time is unthinkable. How dare they. Parents won't sit back while our children die from floods that shouldn't have been supercharged, from DOGE cuts that put their lives on the line, and from weather services not being funded. What are they thinking? We won't back down. They are destroying everything we love.' In addition to demanding the restoration of life-saving public programs, demonstrators called on President Trump and Congress to hold fossil fuel companies financially accountable for the damage their pollution has caused. 'Texans are grieving because public safety systems were dismantled to serve fossil fuel interests,' said Cassidy DiPaola, spokesperson for the Make Polluters Pay campaign. 'Senator Cruz helped cut flood forecasting programs days before the storm. Now families are paying the price while polluters and their allies deflect blame. Texans deserve accountability, not excuses.' Speakers stressed that the Kerr County tragedy reflects a growing pattern of climate disasters that will only intensify without bold action and restoration of critical safeguards. 'It feels like we've lost our way as a country in a very short time. In the six months since this administration has been in charge they have encouraged, enabled, allowed a temporary government agency, one with no oversight, to wantonly cut budgets and offer early retirements for roles that are crucial to the safety of our communities. There were other serious failures at lower levels of government, all of which directly contributed to the loss of dozens of children's lives. These weren't accidents or acts of God. These were intentional choices. Let that sink in,' said Texan and mom Helen Waters. ' This event affected me deeply as I grew up going to summer camp in the area and I have close friends who were caught in the flooding and nearly died. However it's clear to me that this has, and will, happen in other places. We must fight for a social contract with reliable and accountable.' 'As an Austin mom, I've been feeling the losses of the children from my community in a very visceral, immediate way,' said Texan and mom Eileen McGinnis. 'As the founder of The Parents' Climate Community, a climate nonprofit in Central Texas, I was moved to join because it's also vital to connect these losses, this collective grief, to a larger story: kids around the world are bearing the brunt of climate change's impacts, and we are failing to protect them.' Hunter Biden blames Joe's debate performance on Ambien
Hunter Biden is blaming his father's poor 2024 presidential debate performance on Ambien that he said doctors prescribed to help him deal with jet lag. In a podcast interview released Monday, the onetime first son said former President Joe Biden was likely exhausted from the rigors of world travel ahead of the June clash that led to his pulling the plug on his reelection campaign. 'He flew around the world. He's 81 years old. He's tired,' Hunter Biden said. 'They give him Ambien to be able to sleep, and he gets up on the stage and looks like a deer in the headlights.' Joe Biden's doctors never listed Ambien, a common sleep aid, as a medication he was given. The interview with YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan was released on the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden ending his bid to win four more years in the White House, a decision that came amid disastrous political fallout from the debate. Hunter Biden also denied any involvement in the discovery of a baggie of cocaine that was left in a White House security cubby in 2023, insisting he has been sober since 2019 after a well-documented battle with cocaine and other substance abuse. 'I have not touched a drop of alcohol or a drug, and I'm incredibly proud of that,' he said. FBI Director Kash Patel has named the incident as one of several Biden-era investigations that he intends to revisit. President Trump publicly said he suspected Hunter Biden could be responsible, although no evidence has ever surfaced. Hunter Biden was pardoned by his father last December, just a few weeks before Joe Biden left the White House in January. He was facing prison time after being convicted on federal gun charges related to his drug use in June 2024 and later pleading guilty to tax charges. _____
