Aid or Ambush? Gaza Warns of Israeli Death Traps

DaysofPal- The Higher Committee for Tribal Affairs in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday warned Palestinians to stop heading toward border crossings and other gathering spots the Israeli military advertises as aid-distribution points, calling them 'death traps' that have already cost the lives of hundreds of desperate civilians, Quds Press reported.
In a statement, the committee said it is working with international agencies to arrange 'safe and dignified' delivery of humanitarian assistance through dependable channels. It urged residents to avoid entering active combat zones randomly and instead allow qualified authorities and aid organizations to distribute relief fairly and securely.
The committee emphasized that safeguarding civilian lives during the current crisis is both a national and moral duty, adding that broad public support for organized humanitarian efforts offers the best chance to halt further bloodshed.
The appeal followed another deadly incident earlier Tuesday, when Israeli forces opened fire on crowds waiting for food at the Tahlia junction east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. At least 65 people were killed and hundreds wounded, local health officials said.

Israeli Occupation Engineers Starvation to Exterminate Gazan Population

IDaysofPal- Since launching its war on Gaza in October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have adopted a deliberate military policy known as 'engineering starvation', aimed at strangling the Gaza Strip and subjugating its population by using food and medicine as weapons of war, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. Such Israeli policy centers on total control over border crossings, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and essential goods, restricting relief operations, and deliberately targeting food and agricultural infrastructure. According to field reports, these measures have severely worsened famine, especially among children, the sick, and the elderly, amid rising death tolls among those risking their lives just to obtain food. Economist Dr. Nael Mousa explained that 'engineering starvation' refers to the systematic implementation of policies that dry up sources of food, water, and medicine in a specific area to break the will of its people. In an interview with Felesteen Online, he noted that the policy has been clearly applied in Gaza through the complete closure of crossings, the banning of many essential goods, and strict limits on the entry of fuel and electricity, leading to the collapse of food production and cold storage chains. Moreover, Mousa emphasized that these policies have created widespread food insecurity, forcing thousands of families to search for food under extremely dangerous conditions, even at the risk of death. Economist Dr. Haitham Draghmeh added that all alternative methods proposed to address the food crisis have utterly failed. He pointed out that air-dropped aid often landed in uninhabited areas, the sea, or zones under Israeli control. Some airdrops even resulted in the death of civilians, including children, due to the uncontrolled fall of containers. Furthermore, much of the food dropped was military-grade and did not meet the needs of Gaza's severely starving population. Draghmeh also addressed the 'maritime corridor' project, saying it has not functioned regularly and has ultimately failed. Its appearance coincided with a spike in military escalation, notably the Nuseirat massacre in March 2025, in which more than 600 people were killed when Israeli forces stormed the camp. In addition, he also criticized the role of the Israeli-American GIHF organization, calling it a 'death trap.' Although it brought in limited aid shipments, the distribution was chaotic and uncoordinated, and aid-seekers were frequently targeted, resulting in the deaths of hundreds at distribution points. He said the organization was used as a media tool to justify the continued closure of crossings, even as the elderly, the sick, and women were unable to access aid amid deadly chaos. Draghmeh stressed that all these alternative methods do not equal even one full day of aid flow through the Karem Abu Salem crossing if opened regularly. According to reports from the United Nations, World Bank, and international relief organizations, Israel's starvation policy has led to more than 470,000 people in Gaza facing 'catastrophic hunger' (Phase 5 of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification), while the entire population of Gaza suffers from acute food insecurity, making it one of the worst humanitarian crises of the modern era. IOF Intensifies Genocidal War in Gaza, Kills 18 Civilians

DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed 18 Palestinians on Thursday morning after intensifying the ongoing bombardment and targeting of starving civilians waiting to receive humanitarian aid at the US-controlled distribution centers. Israeli forces continue to target hungry crowds in a clear policy of starvation and deliberate killing, which has been a key part of the ongoing genocide for 657 consecutive days, committing more massacres against besieged civilians amid a catastrophic humanitarian crisis marked by starvation and systematic destruction. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday evening that the death toll since March 18, 2025, has reached 8,363 martyrs and 31,004 injuries, bringing the total toll of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, to 59,219 martyrs and 143,045 injuries, most of them women and children. Moreover, the IOF continued its assault on Palestinian journalists, killing the journalist Walaa Al-Jaabari on Wednesday, along with her children and husband, after Israeli forces bombed their home. Meanwhile, the tent of journalist Ahmad Wael Hamdan was bombed in Gaza City, injuring several family members. Furthermore, 2 Palestinians were also killed and others wounded in an airstrike targeting a displaced persons' tent near the Legislative Council in Gaza's Al-Rimal neighborhood. In Al-Bureij refugee camp, Kareem Hassan Al-Sarraj was martyred, and several of his family members were injured when their home was bombed. Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat received three martyrs, including a child and an infant, following a strike on a home in the Al-Ahli Club area. Several civilians, including a young girl, were wounded when Israeli forces bombed the home of the Al-Ghoul family in Block 3 of Al-Bureij camp. Meanwhile, two more people were killed and others wounded in a strike on displaced persons' tents in Mawasi, Khan Younis. Medical sources confirmed the killing of a man and a woman and reported ten others injured following an Israeli strike on civilians waiting for aid in northwestern Gaza. As Israeli atrocities continue against civilians amid international silence, human rights groups warn of a worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza, with starvation, the collapse of the healthcare system, and daily massacres pushing the population to the brink. Hamas Responds to Gaza Ceasefire Proposal

DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement stated early Thursday morning that it has submitted its response to the ceasefire proposal via Arab mediators. 'A short while ago, we submitted our response, along with that of the Palestinian factions, to the ceasefire proposal through our brothers, the mediators,' said Hamas in a brief statement. On Wednesday, well-informed sources said that the Hamas Movement had delivered its reply after making consultations with Palestinian factions regarding the revised proposal aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire. The sources indicated that Hamas's response focused primarily on the entry of humanitarian aid, withdrawal maps, and guarantees to ensure a permanent end to the war. Since July 6, the parties have been negotiating in Doha, under Qatari and Egyptian mediation, with support from the United States, to reach an agreement on a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in the Gaza Strip. Over the past 21 months, several rounds of indirect negotiations have been held between Israel and Hamas, brokered by Qatar and Egypt. During this time, two partial agreements were reached, the first in November 2023, and the second in January 2025. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu evaded implementing the latest agreement and resumed the genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, 2025. Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have waged a war of extermination against Gaza's population, resulting in the killing of more than 59,000 Palestinians, the injury of over 143,000, and the displacement of nearly the entire population of the Strip, amid destruction unprecedented since World War II, according to Palestinian and international reports.
