Calls for forming "Protection Committees" in Palestinian villages in West Bank

Gaza – Saba: Voices from elites, politicians, and activists rose on Saturday, emphasizing the need to provide protection for Palestinian villages in the West Bank and activate "night guard and protection committees" to prevent Zionist settlers from escalating their attacks and violations. According to Quds Press agency, these calls came after an increase in attacks by Zionist settlers targeting several Palestinian villages and areas, resulting in the martyrdom of many Palestinians and severe damage to property. Abu Jeesh, a leader in the Palestinian People's Party and a member of the Factional Coordination Committee in Nablus Governorate, stated, "The settlers' attacks are barbaric, and their escalation requires a plan to confront these crimes and protect Palestinian rural areas." He stressed the necessity of activating "protection and guard committees" around Palestinian villages, towns, cities, and camps to confront these criminal gangs. Abu Jeesh added, "After the increasing frequency of settlers' attacks against the Palestinian people and the green light given by the Zionist political level and the extremist criminal Ben Gvir, it is imperative for all Palestinians to unite, stand together, and break the silence. There is no choice but to confront these criminal gangs." He also called for "the necessity of providing international protection for the Palestinian people, who are being slaughtered and killed," asserting that "the world is turning a blind eye to the crimes committed against the Palestinian people." He continued, "If this aggression were against other countries, the world would be in an uproar. Yet, despite the Palestinians suffering for many long years, condemnation and denunciation do nothing to alleviate their plight." Concluding his remarks, he said, "We are an unarmed people living under an unjust siege, and it is the duty of freedom-loving people around the world to act to save the Palestinian people from the extremist enemy government. We are not a testing ground." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

385 institutions, centers & scientists issue charter in support of " Al-Aqsa Flood"

Istanbul - Saba: On Friday, hundreds of scholars, jurists, Islamic bodies and institutions from different parts of the world issued a comprehensive scientific and legal charter entitled "The Charter of Ummah Scholars on Al-Aqsa Flood and its implications," in which they expressed their position on this battle launched by the Palestinian resistance on October 7, 2023, stressing the legitimacy of the Palestinian resistance and the obligation to support it from all Muslims, rulers and ruled. According to Quds Press, the charter, which came after collective consultations and careful reviews from senior scholars and various sharia unions, seeks to stabilize the sharia discourse in light of the war on Gaza, refute the doubts raised about the legitimacy of jihad and resistance, and remind the Islamic nation of its responsibilities towards Palestine, Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The charter affirms that Palestine, from the sea to the river, is an Islamic land that no one has the right to give up an inch of it, and that "the Zionist entity is an occupying entity whose existence is legally invalid, and all agreements, treaties or forms of normalization that acknowledge its legitimacy are legally invalid and do not bind the nation to anything." The charter also emphasized that "jihad to liberate Palestine is an obligatory duty for its people and a sufficient duty for the entire nation," considering "Rabat in the blessed land as the best type of jihad, and that returning to one's homeland is a legal right that is not subject to statute of limitations." The charter considers "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle to be "the core of payment jihad, which is legitimate in Islamic law, does not require the permission of the ruler or guardian, and does not depend on parity with the enemy, but is a temporal obligation imposed by the nature of the aggression and the duties of victory." The charter defines defense jihad as "exerting effort with the soul, money, tongue and all available means to defend the occupying enemy and repel its actual and expected aggression." The 385 signatories, who numbered 385 institutions, centers and scholars, affirmed that "the mujahideen in Gaza have done their duty, whether they were martyred, captured or injured, and that the steadfastness of the popular support, the sacrifice of Gazan women, and the service of scholars, preachers, doctors and media professionals are all forms of jihad." The charter strongly rejected any projects to liquidate the Palestinian cause, including forced displacement, refugee resettlement, or disarming the resistance, and considered these calls "a legitimate betrayal and an action that serves the interest of the enemy." It also described the policy of siege and starvation as "a crime against humanity that requires confrontation, boycott and prosecution." The charter issued a clear warning against cold neutrality and complacency, considering it a betrayal of the nation and a departure from the duty of belonging and loyalty. It emphasized that the Zionist aggression against Gaza is an aggression against the entire nation, making it imperative to unite ranks and escalate the confrontation by all available means. West Bank Farmers Reeling Under Closures

DaysofPal- Farmers in the Jordan Valley and northern West Bank are facing devastating losses due to Israeli-imposed closures, land confiscation, and unchecked competition from settlement-grown produce. The ongoing military lockdowns on Palestinian cities and crossings have disrupted the agricultural season, compounding the damage caused by Israel's policies of forced displacement and annexation in the region. These compounded pressures have severely undermined one of the most vital economic sectors in the occupied Palestinian territories. The northern West Bank and Jordan Valley—critical areas for fresh produce supply across Palestine—have seen widespread agricultural damage. Farmers report that skyrocketing production costs, combined with a sharp decline in local market prices, have made it almost impossible to break even. Maen Daraghmeh, a farmer from the region, said he cultivated 20 dunams of cucumbers and courgettes this season but suffered heavy financial losses due to oversupply in the markets. Speaking to Quds Press, Daraghmeh noted the paradox that while Palestinian cities are under blockade and movement is heavily restricted, the markets remain flooded with agricultural goods from Israeli settlements. These products, he said, are outcompeting Palestinian-grown produce. 'There should first be guidance for farmers on market demand, followed by a ban on importing goods and crops from settlements or abroad,' Daraghmeh said. 'Finally, we need proper regulation of how vegetables are marketed and distributed to help maintain the farmers' morale, livelihoods, and presence in the market.' Daraghmeh's comments echo broader calls from Palestinian farmers and agricultural organizations for national policy reforms that support local agriculture and resist economic domination by settlement industries. Without such protections, many fear that Palestinian farmers will be pushed out of the market entirely. Shortlink for this post:

Aid or Ambush? Gaza Warns of Israeli Death Traps

DaysofPal- The Higher Committee for Tribal Affairs in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday warned Palestinians to stop heading toward border crossings and other gathering spots the Israeli military advertises as aid-distribution points, calling them 'death traps' that have already cost the lives of hundreds of desperate civilians, Quds Press reported. In a statement, the committee said it is working with international agencies to arrange 'safe and dignified' delivery of humanitarian assistance through dependable channels. It urged residents to avoid entering active combat zones randomly and instead allow qualified authorities and aid organizations to distribute relief fairly and securely. The committee emphasized that safeguarding civilian lives during the current crisis is both a national and moral duty, adding that broad public support for organized humanitarian efforts offers the best chance to halt further bloodshed. The appeal followed another deadly incident earlier Tuesday, when Israeli forces opened fire on crowds waiting for food at the Tahlia junction east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. At least 65 people were killed and hundreds wounded, local health officials said. Shortlink for this post:

Al-Azhar Grand Imam: Palestinian people are facing genocide amid international inaction

Cairo – Saba: Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, affirmed on Sunday that the Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing, describing it as the worst in modern history. According to Quds Press, during a meeting with Gambian Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara at Al-Azhar headquarters, Al-Tayeb stated that the genocide in Gaza has been ongoing for nearly two years under unprecedented international apathy and weakness. The Grand Imam added that the Israeli enemy has committed horrific massacres, deliberately targeting innocent civilians—children, women, the elderly, and the youth—as well as destroying hospitals, mosques, churches, and schools. He emphasized that 'this entity has proven itself to be anti-humanity,' referring to the Israeli regime's practices against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories. The enemy resumed its aggression and tightened siege on the Gaza Strip in the early hours of March 18, 2025, following a two-month pause that began under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. However, the enemy violated the terms of the agreement throughout the truce period. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
