LIVERPOOL will make a £40million 'take-it-or-leave it' offer to Crystal Palace for defender Marc Guehi.
And that should have a great chance of landing the centre-half, who turns 25 today and has always held a big interest in going to Anfield.

Liverpool are set to bid a first, and final, offer of £40million for Marc Guehi

Guehi was the Eagles' star attraction as the club launched their new kit yesterday, but champions Liverpool want to see him in their famous red.
The FA Cup-winning Crystal Palace skipper is now in the last year of his contract and would take the move despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle all being keen.
Guehi, who played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Millwall yesterday, has never made a fuss over previous bids.
And he will allow the clubs to sort out the fee without agitating.

Insiders say Guehi is one of the most down-to-earth players and football is his priority over finance.
Guehi is still on the five-year deal he signed when joining from Chelsea in 2021, ignoring new contracts and waiting for the right step up, with the Reds a favourite.
Palace are not interested in swaps, despite the Kop's highly-rated Ben Doak, 19, and others being potentially available, as they need the cash to land replacements.
Boss Oliver Glasner wants Palace chiefs to deliver TWO new defenders — and that will be a challenge.

Sporting's Ousmane Diomande, 21, is Glasner's first choice but the Ivory Coast international is also in the same £40m range.
That would mean the second newcomer has to be a loan — with a likely move to land Portugal star Tiago Djalo, 25, from Juventus.
Marc Guehi forced to tell overexcited Crystal Palace team-mate to shut up in hilarious tunnel footage
Palace are reeling from Uefa booting them out of the Europa League into the Conference because John Textor has a stake in both their club and French rivals Lyon.
The demotion will also impact their budget — but the Eagles will appeal.

Gareth Bale and Arne Slot on same page in Premier League title prediction

Liverpool manager Arne Slot and ex-Real Madrid star Gareth Bale have both made similar predictions about the upward trajectory that Chelsea are on under Enzo Maresca Chelsea should be considered genuine contenders for the Premier League title in the upcoming season after winning the Club World Cup. The Blues beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final to bank £97million in prize money and send a message to their rivals, with Gareth Bale among those to sing their praises. Cole Palmer scored twice and set up new signing Joao Pedro to score the other in a stunning first half blitz of the Champions League winners. Enzo Maresca's side finished fourth in the Premier League last season before winning the Conference League and Club World Cup. ‌ They have bolstered their attack with the signings of Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian this summer. And, after finishing the 2024/25 campaign strongly by winning 13 of their final 15 matches and lifting two trophies, they need to be taken seriously, according to former Tottenham and Real Madrid star Bale. ‌ 'I do not think they are far away at all,' Bale said on DAZN after their success in New Jersey. 'Last season, they got to around Christmas, and everyone was talking about them being contenders. Obviously, they are a young team, and they kind of fell off, but I think they will learn a lot from that. 'They have shown character as a team to come back and win the Conference League, and now win this. I think confidence will be booming and they will have that self-belief now.' His opinion is shared by Liverpool boss Arne Slot, who spoke about their potential after his side were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea in May. "I expected them to be a threat this season because at Anfield they were better than us,' Slot admitted. 'They were so close to us. It was a complete surprise to me that we are now 19 points clear of them or something like that. ‌ "I didn't feel that at all when we played them. That tells you how well we did, probably, if a team like this with so much quality, and also not only in the first XI, but in the complete squad, that we are able to be 19 points ahead of them is a big compliment for our players." Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has put Chelsea's Premier League rivals on notice. Asked whether they can win either the Premier League or Champions League in 2025/26, Colwill replied: "Yeah, definitely.' ‌ He added: "I said at the start of this tournament that our plan is to win it and people looked at me as if I was crazy. So I'm going to say the exact same thing now going into the Premier League and Champions League. "This is the biggest trophy I've ever won. I think the Club World Cup will be bigger than the Champions League and we were the first team to win it. "It was a statement victory and, in the future, if we keep winning trophies then everyone will give us the love that we deserve. But we'll only know that in the future. I think we're ready and we'll see next season."

Liverpool eye Premier League double transfer deal as three exits edge closer

Liverpool have already spent over £180million in the summer transfer window but aren't slowing down, with eyes on a striker and a centre-back at a rival Premier League side Liverpool have already completed five deals in the summer transfer window, but they are not showing signs of slowing down. The Reds are bolstering their squad after winning the Premier League title in Arne Slot 's debut campaign and have already sealed some eye-catching moves. Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman have all joined Slot's squad, with over £180million spent. ‌ But Liverpool are still very much in the market, with a striker and a centre-back on the cards, plus replacements for any other players who might leave. There are doubts over the futures of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Ibrahima Konate and Harvey Elliott, so more transfers are very likely. ‌ Here Mirror Football brings you the latest from the club, with an exciting double swoop from a Premier League rival potentially on the cards, as well as some exits. Reds eye Mateta Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and his representatives have reportedly met with Liverpool in recent days as the Reds look to bolster their forward ranks. The Reds are in the market for a new striker and could go after the Frenchman, who Foot Mercato claim met with Liverpool chiefs in Paris in the last few days. Mateta scored 14 goals for Palace last season, but the club are slightly vulnerable, with just two years left on his contract. ‌ Liverpool want a replacement for Darwin Nunez, who they want to sell this summer and has been linked with Napoli. Mateta was previously linked with Manchester United, with a £40m to £50m fee mooted. It could mean a double deal for Liverpool, who are also eyeing Palace captain Marc Guehi. West Ham target duo West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool duo Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton this summer. Elliott is poised to leave Anfield this summer in search of more regular game time and has attracted plenty of attention after starring at the Under-21 Euros, while Morton is also a fringe player for his club side following loan spells. ‌ The Guardian reports that the Hammers want to use the money they have earned from the sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham. They netted £54.5m from that deal and believe Elliott would be a good replacement, although there is interest from RB Leipzig. No bid has been made yet but West Ham are reportedly confident they could land Elliott. He is keen to leave the Premier League winners and could get what he's searching for under Graham Potter. Diaz asking price ‌ Luis Diaz has been continually linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer – and we've continually been told that the club are not looking to sell. Barcelona and Bayern Munich are both interested in the Colombia international winger. There's also interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr in the picture, but that seems the most unlikely exit route. The Reds have previously made it clear that Diaz isn't for sale for any price, but Football Insider say that £69m (€80m) would do the trick. That can be viewed two ways: as encouraging bids, or as setting the price so high so as to make a deal unrealistic. It's said that Bayern won't go above £51m (€60m), so it could well be the latter, although there is still plenty of time until the window closes on September 1.

Marcus Rashford rejects big-money Manchester United exit offer as 'deal agreed'

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is looking to revamp his squad after a poor season and a number of players have been linked with moves before the transfer window slams shut Manchester United have made just one major signing so far this summer as they look to bounce back from their worst ever Premier League campaign. United finished 15th last season and missed out on a spot in the Champions League after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. Ruben Amorim is keen to revamp his squad and has already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5million, while teenage prospects Diego Leon and Enzo Kana-Biyik have also made the move to Old Trafford. ‌ Plenty more incomings and outgoings are expected before the transfer window slams shut, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia all likely to leave this summer. ‌ Rashford rejects exit Marcus Rashford has turned down a highly lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo. The report claims that Rashford is holding out for a move to Barcelona instead, with the Spanish giants interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy worth between £30m and £40m. It comes after Barcelona failed in their attempts to sign Nico Williams. ‌ Barcelona were ready to trigger the forward's release clause, but Williams ended up signing a new 10-year contract to remain with Athletic Bilbao. Kean deadline Manchester United have been linked with a move for Moise Kean and the Fiorentina striker has a release clause in his contract that expires today. ‌ The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign for Fiorentina last season, netting 25 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions, and he is available for €52m (£45m) due to the clause that must be triggered by July 15. Kean has previously played in the Premier League with Everton, but struggled to make much of an impact at Goodison Park as he managed just four goals in 39 games for the Toffees. ‌ New deal agreed According to the Manchester Evening News, young prospect Godwill Kukonki has agreed his first professional contract with the club. The 17-year-old defender is highly-rated at Old Trafford and was included in the first-team squad on several occasions last season, with Ruben Amorim insisting he is "ready" for Premier League football. "He impressed me a lot, so it's also a sign to the youth players that they can be here," Amorim told MUTV back in December. "If something happened with the first-team squad, they have to step up and I think he's ready, he's very adult to handle the demands of the Premier League."
