Could a $800 Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE outshine the $1,000 Moto Razr Plus?
Galaxy Z Flip 7
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
The Z Flip 7 FE – as other Fan Edition devices – will be a cheaper variant of the standard Z Flip 7 , but it seems that the phone will not be too far behind the competition. In fact, this phone could have a surprise or two up its sleeve.
The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE posted a single-core score of 1,940 and a multi-core score of 6,136 as seen in a recent Geekbench 6 listing. On the page, the mysterious Samsung device is referred to as SM-F761B, which is the Z Flip 7 FE's codename, as suggested in earlier leaks. Its Geekbench results suggest that it will handle daily tasks like web browsing, messaging, and social media effortlessly, while also holding its own with more intense activities like gaming or editing photos and videos.Geekbench scores are standardized tests for smartphones. They measure how well a device can handle both everyday tasks (single-core performance) and more demanding multitasking or heavy-duty apps (multi-core performance). In short, higher scores generally mean a faster, smoother experience.

The Motorola Razr Plus 2025, already on the market, delivers slightly lower scores: 1,896 for single-core and 4,814 for multi-core in another Geekbench 6 listing. While the difference in single-core is small – meaning general use will feel similar – the larger gap in multi-core performance means the Razr Plus could feel slower under heavier loads or when juggling multiple demanding apps.
Now, let's talk about money. A favorite topic, I know. If Samsung launches the Z Flip 7 FE at $800, it would come in a full $200 cheaper than the $1,000 Moto Razr Plus 2025 . For less money, you'd be getting not only better performance (in theory) but also Samsung's typically longer software update support, pretty decent display technology, and a robust ecosystem of devices and accessories.
To be fair, the Moto Razr Plus 2025 may still appeal to some buyers and it holds its own against the Galaxy Z Flip 6, so don't disregard it automatically.
Unless the Razr Plus model drops in price or offers standout features that truly set it apart, Samsung's new foldable could easily outshine it because of the lower price. If that's the price: July 9 will make it official. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Xiaomi 16 grabs a certification on its way to launch
The Xiaomi 16 has been rumored to launch in China by the end of September, right after Qualcomm unveils the chipset that will be powering it. The phone has now received the EEC certification, ahead of its global launch. It's unclear when that will take place - its predecessor was introduced to international markets this February at MWC, but if the Xiaomi 16 launches in China in September, waiting five months for it to make its global debut is stretching things quite a lot, so perhaps Xiaomi will change things this time around - it remains to be seen. The certification reveals the Xiaomi 16's model number for global markets, which is 25113PN0EG. The Chinese model will have a "C" at the end instead of the "G", while the Indian model - you guessed it - will end in "I". According to previous rumors and leaks, the Xiaomi 16 will have a massive 7,000 mAh battery, a 6.3" to 6.39" flat OLED display, and three 50 MP cameras on the rear (including a main with a 1/1.3" type sensor and a periscope telephoto). Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to have a flagship display
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will have a flagship display feature, unlike its predecessor from last year. According to a new report out of Samsung's home of South Korea, the company has decided to use a flexible OLED panel for the S25 FE. These are more expensive than rigid OLED panels, and thus are generally only used in flagship smartphones. Even though the S25 FE doesn't fit that bill, Samsung has apparently decided to give it this flagship feature in order to better help differentiate it from the likes of the Galaxy A series. The flexible OLED panels can be bent and thus allow for symmetrical bezels on all sides of the screen too, though it's unclear if Samsung will go this route. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Anyway, it's an upgrade compared to the S24 FE, and based on previous rumors, there won't be many others. The Galaxy S25 FE could in fact be powered by the same Exynos 2400e SoC as its predecessor. The cameras will be identical too, with one notable exception - the upgraded selfie snapper. Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic promo images leak
Samsung is holding its next Unpacked event on Wednesday, where it's widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, along with the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic. Now, these two watches have been leaked in a couple of official-looking promo images. As you can see, they confirm the oft-rumored switch to a squircle case design for both the Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, getting them in line with what the Galaxy Watch Ultra started last year. As with the Ultra, the screens are still circular, despite the case shape. Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic leaked promo images The Galaxy Watch8 Classic does in fact seem to have a rotating bezel, just as the name would have you believe. The bezel is raised and features grooves for better maneuverability, as you can see. The Watch8 has two buttons on the right side, which is the only one we can see, while the Classic model has a third one in between. According to previous rumors, the Watch8 family will be powered by Samsung's Exynos W1000 chipset, just like the Watch7 series. So the design will be one of the key upgrades this year, along with a very small improvement in battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Source
