Inno Matijane bids farewell to 'The Way Ngingakhona'
After five seasons on Moja Love's hit reality show The Way Ngingakhona, media personality Inno Matijane has officially announced his departure.
The show, which follows the lives of members of South Africa's LGBTI+ community, debuted in 2020 with Inno as one of the original cast members, alongside Tholang Motsumi and Mj Maponya, among others.

Inno Matijane exits 'The Way Ngingakhona'
In a statement released on Sunday, Inno confirmed he is leaving the show for good.
'After five incredible seasons on The Way Ngingakhona, I am officially closing this chapter.
'I know I've said before that I was leaving, but this time I truly mean it. This is me, seriously and sincerely, stepping away,' he said.
He thanked the channel, producers, castmates and fans who supported him along the way.
'This show has been a big part of my life and a place where many people got to witness my story unfold in real time. I am deeply thankful to the channel, the producers, the crew, my castmates and especially the people who have supported me throughout this journey. Your love, messages and presence have not gone unnoticed.'
Inno also shared that when he returned for the current season, he was not sure if it was the right thing to do.
'But I accepted because I wanted to share one last piece of His truth. I hope that people saw my heart. I now feel at peace stepping away,' he added.
He said his decision to leave was not driven by conflict or negativity but by personal growth and spiritual alignment.
'I love the medium, and while I still value it deeply, I am different now. I'm making choices based on where I am with God, with myself and with the future I want to build.
'This is not the end of my journey in reality television. I still believe in the power of storytelling.'

Innocent 'Inno' Matijane has revealed his decision to leave Moja Love's reality show The Way Ngingakhona after five years. The show follows the loves of members of the LGBTQIA+ community — how they navigate their daily struggles — and it highlights their triumphs too. The media personality and DJ took to his timeline on Sunday, saying after candidly sharing his truth on the platform pertaining to an alleged sexual assault he suffered, he wanted to close the chapter. 'When I was back this season, I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. I had already started walking a more intentional path. But I accepted, because I wanted to share one last piece of my truth. And though I didn't say everything, I said enough. 'I have grown in ways I never imagined. Spiritually, emotionally and personally. And that growth has shown me that not every environment will always reflect who you are becoming. That is why I have chosen to step away from the show. 'This decision is not coming from any negativity or discomfort. In fact, my experience with the production team has always been warm and professional. They have treated me with kindness and respect, and I am truly going to miss working with them. I leave with gratitude, not regret.' Inno went on to say he hopes he can make a reality TV comeback one day on a different show. 'This is not the end of my journey in reality television. I still believe in the power of real stories and real conversations. I still love the medium and everything it can be when it reflects truth and purpose. I also look forward to exploring other spaces, including scripted work [acting] and creative projects that allow me to keep growing.'

'When we learned the theme was Silver, our thoughts instantly turned to diamonds because nothing embodies elegance and brilliance quite like they do. 'We wanted Ayanda to shimmer and shine, just like the radiant diamond she truly is,' Andile said. Ayanda described her style as 'bold, creative and colourful.' Lo Sithole was styled by young designer Ntsike Ensembled. 'I wanted a look that makes me feel powerful, feminine and unapologetically me. 'This is a celebration of confidence. I was myself throughout the whole season, and when invited to an event, I made sure to stick to the theme, but with my style that suits my physique,' she said. Sorisha Naidoo wore a futuristic ensemble by the talented team at 18th Victorian. 'The look was inspired by an avatar garden and the future of fashion — robotics, movement and high-tech couture,' Sorisha explained. 'It featured dynamic, moving elements that pushed the boundaries of traditional red carpet style. Our aim was to showcase South African design as bold, futuristic and globally competitive.' Working with 18th Victorian over the years, Sorisha said the designers understand her personality, what accentuates her features, and what reflects her spirit. 'They always manage to strike that perfect balance between strength and softness. I'm grateful for the way they continue to experiment and elevate our local fashion to international standards.
