Columbus Blue Jackets to open 2025-26 at Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild
According to posts July 16 from the Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild, the Jackets will again start on the road. They'll open the 2025-26 season Oct. 9 at the Nashville Predators, travel North to face the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 11 and return for the home opener Oct. 13 against the New Jersey Devils.
Last season, the Blue Jackets split their first two games on the road against the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche before returning to open the home schedule against the Florida Panthers in a game preceded by an emotional ceremony to honor Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
The Blue Jackets' full schedule will be released at noon July 16, about three weeks later than previous years when its release coincided with the NHL draft in late June.

5 Most Exciting Dates On Chicago Blackhawks Schedule
Now that the 2025-26 schedule is officially out for the Chicago Blackhawks, it is time to start dissecting it. Of course, playing against rivals like the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, and Nashville Predators will always be an exciting experience. Going up against some of the Eastern Conference teams that Chicago only plays twice a year will also bring added excitement. The Original Six matchups, in particular, always evoke a sense of nostalgia along with great hockey. In addition to their centennial celebrations, the Blackhawks will have their "Home for the Holidays" promotion again, along with 20 weekend home games, 26 games against division rivals, and some great road trips. When looking at all 82 games, some stick out more than others. These are the five most exciting dates on the slate: Blackhawks Open At Panthers - 10.7 On October 7th, the National Hockey League regular season will kick off. The Florida Panthers will begin their title defense against the Chicago Blackhawks in the first game of the season. Ahead of the game, the Panthers will raise their Stanley Cup banner. Home Opener Vs Canadiens - 10.11 The Chicago Blackhawks will kick off the home portion of their schedule against the Montreal Canadiens on October 11th. This is the first Original Six game that Chicago will host during their centennial celebration. There is sure to be a great celebration on this night. Frozen Frenzy Vs Senators - 10.28 The NHL will do another version of their Frozen Frenzy on October 28th. All 32 teams will play with staggered start times. The Blackhawks will be one of the later games with the Ottawa Senators in town. Kane Returns To Chicago (Again) 12.13 On December 13th, Patrick Kane will make his third trip to Chicago as a visitor. It is always a top-tier atmosphere when the Detroit Red Wings are in town, but it gets amped up even further when Kane is on their team. Toews Returns To Chicago - 1.19 On January 19th, the Winnipeg Jets will be in Chicago. This isn't just any old divisional matchup, however, as Jonathan Toews will be making his return to the United Center for the first time as a player. Chicago will play Winnipeg in Manitoba on October 30th, but the game in Chicago will hold tremendous significance. In the second half of the season, following the Olympic break in February, the excitement surrounding games will revolve around storylines created throughout the year. A lot of exciting development is expected to take place for certain individuals in 2025-26.
