Ju Haknyeon cleared of misconduct allegations: Police dismiss case due to lack of evidence
Former 'THE BOYZ' member Ju Haknyeon has been officially cleared of misconduct allegations involving former Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara. On July 2, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed that the complaint filed against him in June has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence. The allegations and fallout The controversy began in May 2025, when online rumours alleged that Ju Haknyeon had met with Asuka Kirara at a private lounge in Tokyo. Though no formal charges were filed, the speculation escalated rapidly. His agency, 'One Hundred,' responded by terminating his exclusive contract and announcing his departure from 'THE BOYZ.' Ju Haknyeon's response In the weeks following the reports by Pinkvilla, Ju Haknyeon broke his silence, saying, 'There was no illegal activity during my time in Japan.' He also expressed disagreement with the agency's decision by uttering, 'I had not agreed to leave THE BOYZ.' He further stated his intent to take legal action with 'I will pursue legal action against those who spread unverified and defamatory information.' Police statement: no grounds for investigation A formal complaint was submitted on June 19, requesting an official investigation. However, the police concluded that the complaint was 'largely based on an online article.' They emphasised that it 'lacked the concrete details or corroborating evidence necessary to justify an investigation.' Further, the authorities clarified that 'simply referencing media coverage does not meet the criteria required for a criminal investigation. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Преносим лазерен заваръчен пистолет, 50% отстъпка днес HL Купете сега Undo ' Accuser's reaction The individual who filed the complaint expressed disappointment in the outcome, saying, 'I would like to make it clear that since the authorities have not determined that the accusation is false, it does not meet the legal requirements for a false accusation.' They also argued that 'other high-profile cases in the past had moved forward based on media reports. This case should have been handled with the same level of seriousness. '

When lungi-clad Kannada actor wielded shovel to fix craters
Bengaluru: For the past week, a curious sight has been stopping commuters in their tracks near Basavanahalli Circle on Nelamangala-Doddaballapur Road: A man with a shovel, with his lungi folded, toiling alongside a few workers to fill potholes on a five-kilometre stretch. The man is none other than Kannada film actor Vinod Raj. With the civic agency showing no signs of repairing the stretch, Raj took matters into his own hands to spare fellow motorists of the daily bone-rattling ride. He purchased raw-material, hired a tractor to transport the same and supervised the pothole-filling exercise. Several surprised motorists greeted the actor with handshakes and smiles. "I incurred an expense of up to Rs 5 lakh for filling up the potholes and repairing the road. I purchased jelly stones, M-sand, and cement. The daily rent for the tractor carrying them is Rs 1,000. I'm not doing anything great. I'm just following the footsteps of my mother and actor, the late Leelavathi," he said. The recent rain worsened the situation. Even I take this road to reach my farmhouse. Therefore, we decided to repair it," he said. According to Raj, he worked on the five-km stretch for around 10 days. "Soon, the work will be over. After the rainy season, we will fill the potholes using ECOFIX—a ready-to-use pothole repair mix developed by the Central Road Research Institute," he said. Recalling the days when the road was not asphalted, Raj said he would ask his mother why she purchased the farm which had no proper roads. "A few decades back, we drove on the rock-studded road to reach the farmhouse. Thousands of commuters use this road every day, and potholes are posing a threat to them," he said.

Konkona Sensharma opens up about the silent struggles of working mothers ahead of Metro..In Dino: ‘Mum penalty exists!'
As Metro…In Dino gears up for release, Konkona Sensharma is opening up about the silent struggles working mothers face in an industry that celebrates glamour yet refuses to look past the smoke. In a recent interview with Firstpost, 45-year-old actor responded to a question about work-life balance without sugarcoating reality. 'I genuinely want to say that in today's day and age, there is a certain motherhood penalty in any industry which happens. It's called the fatherhood premium and the motherhood penalty,' she said. 'Because what happens is that fathers, as they have children and they become more and more senior, they earn more and more. But for women, with every child, there is a financial setback because you're not able to kind of participate in the way society expects you to or for that matter what the office work demands.' Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma attends the opening ceremony of the MAMI Film Festival 2025 in Mumbai on April 15, 2025. (Photo by Sujit JAISWAL / AFP)(AFP) Konkona's remarks point to a wider conversation. 'Now what's going to happen ultimately is that women are not incentivised to have children at all because it's becoming more and more difficult. You know, to participate in the work life, and to be a good mother at the same time is becoming more and more difficult,' she added. 'So, I feel that this is something that eventually the governments will have to kind of change policies for working mothers. Otherwise it's not going to happen.' Mumbai, Jun 04 (ANI): Bollywood actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi, pose for a picture during the promotion of their upcoming romance/drama film 'Metro In Dino', in Mumbai on Tuesday. (ANI Photo)(Sunil Khandare ) In the movie, Kajal (Konkona's character)is married to the second Monty (Pankaj Tripathi). About their relationship, the actor reveals, 'What I like in this very much is that this is a couple who, I mean, we have a good marriage, everything is fine. But I think let's say after 10-12 years of marriage, when you have your kids, you have your EMIs, you have your school fees, your jobs and all that, then I think there's a domesticity that surrounds you. I think this is a challenge that many couples face. Especially so many of us are in long-term relationships or are in long-term marriages, you know. And then after 10, 12 years, that initial spark and that romance or whatever, that spark is gone. Or at least it changes. So that is something that many I think couples grapple with, that issue. And I feel like Anurag has really handled that sensitively with a lot of humour. This I think many couples will relate to.' Metro…In Dino boasts a powerhouse cast that includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Kay Kay Menon alongside Konkona and Panjak. For long-time fans of the Life in a… Metro (2007) soundtrack, the return of Pritam Chakraborty's melodious vocals adds extra nostalgia, and while Irrfan Khan's magnanimous presence will be missed, the film promises new dynamics that many are looking forward to.
