Ajman University Conducts 8th Edition of ‘Research Day' to Drive Innovation and Support National Development
UAE, May 2025: Ajman University (AU), one of the region's leading non-profit institutions, hosted the 8th edition of its flagship Research Day , reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and national development. The annual event, organized by the Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies, brought together faculty members, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and distinguished representatives from government and private sectors to explore how applied research can support the UAE's long-term strategic ambitions.
Held at Ajman Saray Hotel, the event showcased interdisciplinary student research projects addressing real-world challenges in areas such as urban planning, public health, technology, design, and behavioral science. This year's edition served as a dynamic platform for bridging academia with national priorities, inspiring young researchers to contribute solutions to regional and global challenges.
Among the many impactful contributions, students from the College of Engineering and IT explored sustainable freshwater collection systems through condensation technologies. Medical students explored health access and clinical practices, while researchers in Pharmacy and Health Sciences examined environmental risk factors and pharmaceutical advancements. The College of Dentistry presented innovations in oral care, while students in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Mass Communication tackled behavioral trends, social perceptions, and media narratives. These projects collectively reflect the breadth and depth of Ajman University's research ecosystem, grounded in relevance, rigor, and national impact.

PM Confirms Growing Gobal Confidence in Egypt's Economy
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said many international institutions have praised Egypt's economic resilience, noting that recent regional tensions, including the Israel-Iran conflict, caused only temporary effects. He added that Egypt's commitment to a flexible exchange rate has improved investor confidence. Following a cabinet meeting in New Alamein, Madbouly said that global interest in building factories in Egypt is increasing. He confirmed that inflation fell to 14.4 percent in June, down from 16.5 percent in May, and said the government is monitoring prices and supply daily to ensure market stability. The Premier added that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's participation in the recent African Union summit proves that Egypt has an active role across the continent, noting that Egypt leads two AU mechanisms: one for strategic coordination, the other for regional security in North Africa. President al-Sisi also held several meetings with African leaders, who expressed interest in involving Egyptian companies in infrastructure projects, Madbouli added. He noted that African leaders have asked Egyptian companies to take part in major development projects, citing their reputation for quality and delivery. The Prime Minister added that three regasification ships are now connected to Egypt's national gas network via Ain Sokhna Port, with a capacity of 2.25 billion cubic feet per day. Two more ships, one in Alexandria and one in Aqaba, will enter service soon as part of the state's summer contingency plan.
