John Stamos says he was with Mike Love when they learned of Brian Wilson's death
In a brief conversation with Entertainment Tonight while on the red carpet for the Songwriters Hall of Fame gala, Stamos got choked up when he recalled getting a text with the news of Wilson's passing while he was with Wilson's bandmate and cousin, Mike Love.
'Mike and I were together when I got the text, and I had to tell him,' Stamos said through tears. 'Without Brian Wilson, life would be a mistake.'
'I mean, his music has been part of my DNA,' Stamos wrote. 'And the beauty and the happiness and the joy and the optimism and the positivity that I've gotten from their music has made who I am.'
'You know, one of my greatest honors is when someone comes up and says, 'Oh, I got turned on to the Beach Boys because of you and 'Full House,'' Stamos shared. The actor and the band often collaborated via the hit sitcom in the 80s and 90s and continued their relationship over the last several decades.
'It's the greatest gift that I could have given back to them,' Stamos, who will be performing with the Beach Boys at The Town Hall in New York City, continued.
'Tomorrow will be our first show since Brian's gone,' he said, referring to the performance. 'I don't know how we're gonna get through it. You know, 'God Only Knows' starts playing, you know, but we'll get through it, and we have to, you know, for Brian.'
'I think, obviously, the rest of this summer, the rest of the live shows forever, I think will be dedicated to Brian Wilson, and will be a tribute to him.'
Wilson's family confirmed the news of his death in a statement shared on X on Wednesday, June 11.
Alongside a photo of Wilson, the statement read, 'We are heartbroken to announced (sic) that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now.
'Please respect our privacy at this time as our family (is) grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world,' it continued, before the family signed off, writing, 'Love & Mercy.'
Wilson made up one-fifth of the popular rock group known as the Beach Boys, which also included his brothers Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin, Mike Love, and their friend, Al Jardine.
Wilson founded the band in 1961, and the group skyrocketed to fame following the release of their first single 'Surfin'' released that same year.

Liam Neeson And Pamela Anderson Address Dating Rumors
Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are living their best lives right now while promoting their new movie, The Naked Gun. And their chemistry has everyone thinking the same thing. They've been cozying up on the red carpet, doing funny interviews, and Pamela's even been baking Liam sourdough and cookies. Now, the co-stars have turned their press tour into a family affair by inviting their respective sons to yesterday's premiere in New York City. Liam was supported by 30-year-old Micheál and 28-year-old Daniel, whom he shares with his late wife, Natasha Richardson. While Pamela was joined by her two sons with her ex-husband Tommy Lee: 29-year-old Brandon and 27-year-old Dylan. Adorably, the six of them posed for a few photos, and I have to say, they all look great together. As you've probably seen, with both Pamela and Liam currently being single, there's been a lot of conversation about their potential as a couple — particularly after Liam said he was 'madly in love' with her last year. In May, Pamela told Entertainment Weekly that they kept their relationship 'professionally romantic.' And it's safe to say they're still keeping us guessing. On last night's red carpet, Pamela and Liam pretended to kiss during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. And this morning, the co-stars made an appearance on Today, where host Craig Melvin asked the question on everyone's minds: 'What's the deal here?... Are you two an item?' Liam and Pamela jokingly pretended not to 'understand' the question before the Taken star finally stepped in with some (somewhat cryptic) context. 'I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors,' he said. 'It's like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe.' And that's what we did.' In response to that, Craig replied: 'We're watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship… America's here for it, we're here for whatever this turns into.'

Billy Joel reflects on what he learned from relationship with Christie Brinkley after ‘devastating' divorce
Billy Joel has divulged what it was like to fall in love with his second wife, Christie Brinkley. In part two of the 'Piano Man' singer's HBO documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, the two exes discussed what their relationship was like when they first started dating. The former couple first met in 1983 while on vacation in St. Barts. After discovering they both lived in New York City, they made plans to keep in touch and went on their first date to a Beach Boys concert. 'Here I am dating this beautiful supermodel and... me? I'm from Hicksville. What am I doing with her? What's she doing with me? But that was a very productive time for me,' Joel, 76, said in the documentary of his Long Island, New York upbringing. 'I wrote a lot of songs for her. She was a muse.' He continued, 'It was like being a teenager all over again. Experiencing those same emotions that I had when I was first discovering romance and love.' Brinkley said that while their 'whirlwind romance' was 'just so much fun' during the first few years, she noted the turning point was in 1989 when Joel released his 'I Go to Extreme' single. Describing the song, Brinkley said it reflected her husband 'boomeranging between being a family man and tortured artist' as he would sneak away in the middle of the night to drink. That same year, the 'Vienna' singer filed a $90 million fraud and breach of contract lawsuit against his former manager, Frank Weber. To regain the money, Joel had to adjust his tour, which further drove the wedge between Brinkley and their daughter Alexa. 'I was in a relationship with someone who I cared deeply about. But I was not able to be at home. I was not able to be with my family. It was a very sad time for me,' the 'Uptown Girl' singer said. 'I realized love is not concrete. You feel like it is, but there are things eating away at it. And in the end, it all catches up. It's hard. I was so devastated.' 'He said, 'Yeah, fine, go.' I tried. I wanted it to work,' Brinkley recalled one of their final fights. 'I knew how lucky I was, having music and all of that. But it just didn't work.' The two divorced in 1994 after being married for nine years. Joel went on to marry twice more for a total of four wives. He remains with Alexis Roderick, whom he married in 2015. They share two daughters: Della, 9, and Remy, 7. Brinkley has been married four times but remains closest to Joel and named her new memoir, 'Uptown Girl,' after the hit 1983 song inspired in part by her. She, too, has opened up about being with Joel. Brinkley told Page Six earlier this year: 'To be clear, I never wanted to end things with Billy,' she said. 'I read every self-help book I could find … we went to see a string of psychiatrists, psychologists and other medical doctors.' Brinkley also said she and Joel 'were probably really soulmates. It was an amazing time of my life.' Part two of Billy Joel: And So It Goes premieres Friday on HBO.

Jamie Lee Curtis confirms she'll star in 'Murder, She Wrote' movie: 'Oh, it's happening'
She also teased that she's "very excited" to dive into the role first brought to life on TV by Angela Lansbury. The mystery of who will star in the lead role of a Murder, She Wrote film adaptation has been solved. When asked point-blank what the chances are that fans could see her pick up the mantel of Jessica Fletcher, the mystery writer and amateur detective first brought to life by the late Angela Lansbury in the long-running CBS series of the same name, Jamie Lee Curtis didn't hold back. "Oh, it's… happening," Curtis playfully confirmed to Entertainment Tonight at the world premiere of Freakier Friday. "We're a minute away, but yeah, [I'm] very excited. Very excited. But I'm tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting. I have a couple of other things to hustle, but then I'll get to enjoy that work." Deadline first reported in December that the Oscar winner was in talks to star in a Murder, She Wrote film at Universal written by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, with producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Previously, in October 2013, it was reported that NBC was planning a reboot of the series, but by January 2014 it was revealed that it was not moving forward. The original Murder, She Wrote, which ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996, focused on Lansbury's Jessica Fletcher, who became embroiled in various murder cases that took place in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, as well as other locales around the globe. Created by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson and William Link, the crime drama also starred Tom Bosley, William Windom and Ron Masak. Considered one of the most successful and long-running series in history, Murder, She Wrote was a hit with the industry and public alike. At the height of its popularity, it averaged 30 million viewers per week, according to the L.A. Times. Though she never won, the role earned Lansbury a whopping 12 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The update from Curtis is a positive one for the reboot. As she alluded to, though, Curtis has much on her plate at the moment before she can pick up a magnifying glass. First up for the star is reprising her role of Tess Coleman in Freakier Friday, the sequel to the beloved 2003 film starring Lindsay December, she'll be seen in James L. Brooks' dramedy film Ella McCay alongside Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Kumail Nanjiani, Spike Fearn, Ayo Edebiri, Jack Lowden, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks, and Albert Brooks. In addition to Murder, She Wrote, Curtis currently has another three projects in various stages of development. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly
