This woman's dating research might reveal where your perfect match lives. She tracked 500+ matches for 'science experiment'

Time of India04-06-2025
In a digital dating world full of endless swiping and mixed signals, one woman is taking a more methodical approach to finding love. Caitlin Trask, a 32-year-old from Denver, Colorado, has gone viral for her unique dating experiment—meticulously tracking her matches from the dating app Hinge in a detailed spreadsheet she refers to as her 'man catalog.'
A Data-Driven Approach to Modern Dating
Trask's spreadsheet isn't just a collection of random names. It's part of what she calls a 'dating science experiment.' The document logs details like age, height, occupation, city, religion, political views, and even subjective impressions such as physical attractiveness and communication style. For Trask, who describes herself as an 'analytical person,' this method helps her identify dating patterns and preferences.

She was inspired by a colleague who found her fiancé by intentionally dating in different cities and countries. Taking a cue from that strategy, Trask decided to shift her own dating app location settings to cities beyond Denver in hopes of better matches.

Testing Compatibility Across Cities
So far, Trask has experimented with cities including New York, Boston, Austin, and San Diego. Her goal is to determine which city holds the highest concentration of men she feels compatible with. She told People, 'Most guys that I am finding are my usual type, which means they have curly hair, good smiles and interesting prompts in their profile. Someone who it seems like I could have a fun conversation with is what I'm generally finding.'
She's also noticed some unexpected patterns. For example, while people online often joke about the lack of tall men in Boston, her spreadsheet revealed that her Boston matches were all over 6 feet 2 inches tall.
Going Viral with the 'Man Catalog'
Trask shared her process on TikTok, and the video quickly gained traction with over 530,000 views. In the clip, she humorously says, 'Sorry I can't go out tonight, I have 513 men I have to document in my man catalog.'
The response online has been a mix of admiration and amusement. Some praised her strategy, calling it a perfect blend of romance and logic. 'Women in STEM collecting data,' joked one commenter. Others shared that they also kept dating diaries and found it helpful.
However, not everyone was impressed. A few viewers criticized the idea, with one writing, 'Major red flag on so many levels btw,' and another commenting, 'We spend way too much time thinking about men. They can't even be bothered to read our profiles. Enough.'
What's Next in the Dating Experiment
Despite mixed reactions, Trask is committed to the project. Once she gathers enough data, she plans to create charts and visualizations to help identify which city might give her the best chance at finding a meaningful connection.
As she told People, 'The ultimate goal is to visit the places where I find there seem to be the most single men that I'm aligned with, and visit there and see if anything comes of it.'
For Trask, this experiment is not just about love—it's also about taking control of the dating process in a thoughtful and intentional way.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 Pre-Show Breakdown (August 3, 2025): Full Matchcard, Storylines and What's at Stake

SummerSlam 2025 (Image via X) Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2025 is only a little while away as the pre-show inches towards its conclusion. The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is once again packed to the brim, as the second night of the big event is set to produce even bigger fights than the first. The Street Fight between John Cena and Cody Rhodes is, of course, the main event of the night, but the other five matches set to take place tonight are equally exciting. As Triple H posted, WWE is currently in stealth mode, and everything is pretty hush-hush for tonight. So let's take a look at what we know so far, and what WWE has in store for the fans for Night 2 of SummerSlam. SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 match cards in order (expected) WWE Women's World Championship : Naomi (c) vs. IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley WWE Tag Team Championship: Wyatt Sicks (c) vs. #DIY vs. Street Profits vs. Fraxiom vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix (TLC match) WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria WWE United States Championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles WWE Undisputed Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes (Street Fight) The WWE Women's World Championship is going to open Night 2 A lot of chatter has been ongoing about the WWE Women's World Championship fight that will take place tonight in a three-way match. Naomi is the current title holder, after pinning IYO SKY at Evolution, when she very shockingly cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase at the very end of the show. Now both Rhea Ripley and Sky will be back with vengeance to get the belt, but Naomi is not someone they can easily toy with. These three women are at the top of their game when it comes to WWE's women's division. And this three-way match will be bloody, brutal, and brilliant, because that's just how good they are. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Signs Of Heart Attack That Shouldn't Be Ignored (Take A Look) TheDaddest Undo This match is supposed to open Night 2, and given that Ripley and Sky were the closing act at Evolution 2025, this seems pretty fitting. WWE Tag Team Championship TLC match The WWE Tag Team Championship match will be chaotic to say the least, and everyone knows it. With 6 tag teams competing in a Table, Ladder, and Chair match for the tag team belts, which will be hanging on top of the ring, fans already know what to expect, except maybe who will finally come out on top. John Cena and Cody Rhodes to end the night in a spectacular fashion Now that John Cena has turned Baby Face once more, or so it seems, is it time for Cody Rhodes to do the unthinkable, and turn heel? Or will it be a double heel and Cena never actually turned Face at all? Tonight's Street Fight match between these two heavyweights, who were last seen sharing a beer together after Rhodes welcomed Cena back, will be the last match of the night, and the action is supposed to be unmatched. Rhodes has been saying from the beginning that he wanted to face the real John Cena, and it looks like that's exactly what he is about to get. But as it has been said quite a few times by now, will Cody be able to hone in on his instincts and do what needs to be done to face Cena tonight? Whatever happens, WWE is very tight-lipped about it. With only a few minutes before the show starts, the crowd is absolutely going wild, and we can't wait to see what happens tonight. PGI's Rs 490 cr Advanced Neuroscience Centre nears launch by Sept

Chandigarh: India's healthcare system, currently facing a critical shortage of neurologists—with just one specialist available per million people—is on the brink of a major breakthrough. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI), Chandigarh, is preparing to launch its long-awaited Advanced Neuroscience Centre, a Rs 490 crore project that promises to revolutionise neurological and neurosurgical care across the country. Approved in 2017 and with construction beginning in 2020, the centre is now nearing full operationalisation. PGI officials have confirmed that the outpatient department (OPD) is expected to become functional by September, marking a significant milestone in the journey to improve access to specialised brain and spine treatment. Once fully operational, the centre will join the ranks of premier institutions like NIMHANS Bengaluru and AIIMS Delhi's Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre. However, PGI's facility stands out for its integrated model, combining neurology and neurosurgery services under one roof. "This will be the largest such centre in India where both specialities are housed in a single building," said a PGI official. "Beds will be consolidated, not scattered across departments, ensuring seamless care for patients. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Access all TV channels anywhere, anytime Techno Mag Learn More Undo " The project has faced several hurdles over the years. Construction was halted during the Covid pandemic in March, 2020 and resumed with limited labour by June. More recently, delays were caused by the renewal of pollution control clearance from the state pollution control board and the calculation of property tax arrears owed by PGI. Despite these challenges, the administration remains optimistic about the centre's phased rollout. The facility will feature 300 general ward beds, 10 modular operating theatres, dedicated ICUs, 10 High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds, and 30 private ward beds. It will offer advanced sub-specialities such as cerebrovascular surgery, skull base surgery, and spinal functional neurosurgery. A key highlight is the Brain Suite, a specialised operating room designed for complex neurosurgical procedures. While some equipment requests—like a 3T MRI, Bi-plane DSA, and dual-energy CT scan—were scaled down due to budget constraints, PGI faculty believe the centre will still significantly enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities. "Patients come from all corners of India because of the expertise and affordability PGI offers," said a senior faculty member. The Advanced Neuroscience Centre is expected to serve as a national hub for neurological care, addressing a long-standing gap in specialised treatment. With its integrated approach and cutting-edge infrastructure, the centre is poised to offer a lifeline to thousands of patients who currently struggle to access timely and affordable brain and spine care. HC stays conviction of vax scientist for wife's suicide; cites 'national interest'; allows returns to duty

. DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand HC has suspended the conviction and five-year rigorous imprisonment of a vaccine scientist found guilty of abetment to suicide following the death of his wife in 2015. Justice Ravindra Maithani granted the relief to Dr Akash Yadav during the pendency of his appeal, saying his role was "undoubtedly essential for public health and national interest" and his conviction had rendered him ineligible to continue contributing to vaccine programmes. Yadav, a vaccinologist with a PhD in biotechnology from IIT-Kgp, had been working as a senior manager at Indian Immunologicals Limited, a PSU that makes human and veterinary vaccines and plays a critical role in national immunisation efforts. tnn Court allows scientist to resume duties at IIL Yadav was convicted by a sessions court under IPC section 306 for abetment to suicide but was acquitted under section 304-B (dowry death) and the Dowry Prohibition Act. He married on May 7, 2015. His wife, who was employed at Pantnagar University, was taken to her maternal home by her brother on July 4, 2015, while Yadav was working in Hyderabad. She resumed her duties but died by suicide on Dec 14, 2015. In her suicide note, she stated that her husband would be responsible for her death. Yadav was arrested on May 11, 2017, and after spending more than three months in jail, he got bail on Aug 28. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indonesia: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search ads Search Now Undo On Jan 21 this year, the sessions judge of Rudrapur sentenced him to five-year RI and a fine of Rs 20,000 under Section 306. After being granted bail, Yadav filed an interim application under section 389(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking suspension of his conviction. He submitted that because of the conviction, he had become disqualified from working with Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) and was unable to resume his scientific duties. His counsel argued that the case met the criteria for exceptional circumstances, as the conviction had a direct impact on "work of national importance." Justice Maithani noted that an appellate court can suspend a conviction if failure to do so would result in injustice or irreversible consequences. He cited the Supreme Court rulings in Navjot Singh Sidhu vs State of Punjab (2007) and Rama Narang vs Ramesh Narang (1995) and said that courts must examine whether maintaining the conviction would unfairly affect a person's professional standing or public interest responsibilities. The bench observed, "This was a greater issue of public health and national interest. In light of the afore-stated reasons, the court was of the view that this was a fit case in which the order of conviction as well as execution of sentence, appealed against, should be suspended." The high court suspended both the conviction and sentence during the appeal's pendency, allowing Yadav to resume his duties at IIL.
