Salman-SRK's Tiger vs Pathaan on hold as YRF revamps spy universe: Report
YRF might have put a hold on its upcoming film 'Tiger vs Pathaan', starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The report comes amid rumours of the film being shelved. As per a media report going viral, producer Aditya Chopra is looking to collaborate with different directors and experiment with distinct ideas that will help the film follow a new creative path.advertisement"Aditya believes the spy universe films are veering towards repetition and needs a revitalised approach to storytelling and presentation. Earlier, another report by News 18 claimed that Yash Raj Films is reportedly focusing on 'Dhoom 4'. The report said Chopra is closely involved with developing the story and screenplay of 'Dhoom 4' with Shridhar Raghavan and that the makers are currently working on the story draft that's worthy of the hype around the reboot with 'Dhoom 4'.Speaking about the expansion of the YRF spy universe with Ranbir Kapoor headlining 'Dhoom 4', the report said, "Ranbir is the apt choice for 'Dhoom 4' and the character is designed to keep his aura and personality in mind. The new 'Dhoom' film is being designed keeping global action standards in mind, and the visual palette, as also storytelling, will be very different from the already established YRF spy universe."advertisementThe report also said the makers are in talks with Ayan Mukerji to direct the film and plan to take it on floors in April 2026.Along with 'Dhoom 4', YRF is also bankrolling Hrithik Roshan's 'War 2' and Alia Bhatt's 'Alpha'. 'War 2', also featuring Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, is scheduled for a release on August 14, 2025. Meanwhile, 'Alpha' is slated to hit the theatres on December 25, 2025.
