Air India Mumbai-Ahmedabad flight cancelled after crew duty time expired amid delay
The flight, which was supposed to be operated by an Airbus A321-211 aircraft (VT-PPL), was first delayed due to an unspecified operational issue.
During this delay, the assigned crew reached the limit of their Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL), a rule that restricts the number of hours airline crew members can work for safety reasons.
Meanwhile, an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Ranchi was diverted back to the national capital shortly after taking off on Monday due to a suspected technical issue.
The Boeing 737 Max 8 plane was scheduled to land at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport at 6:20 PM.
After the inspection and clearance, the aircraft continued its normal operations, according to an Air India spokesperson.
'One of our flights returned to Delhi after takeoff due to a suspected technical issue. Post inspections and clearance, the aircraft continued scheduled operations. We regret the inconvenience,' Athe ir India Express Spokesperson said.
Earlier in the day, an Air India flight, which was supposed to land in Delhi, was diverted back to Hong Kong after the pilot suspected a technical issue mid-air, according to sources.
The AI 315 flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, had departed from Hong Kong to Delhi. According to the flight tracking site, Flight Radar 24, the Air India flight was supposed to reach Delhi by 12.20 PM.
Sources said that the passengers deboarded safely and the plane is undergoing a safety check. (ANI)

J-K: Devotees depart from Nunwan Base Camp for Amarnath Yatra
Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 5 (ANI): A large number of devotees departed from Nunwan Base Camp on Saturday to begin their spiritual journey toward the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath Ji, located in the snow-clad Himalayas of Jammu and Kashmir. As the yatra progressed smoothly under tight security and improved facilities, pilgrims expressed their joy and faith. While speaking to ANI, one of the pilgrims, Rajesh Giri, said, 'I am barefoot. I have been barefoot for the last 40 years since birth... I am going to Shri Amarnath Ji for the 25th time. I will go on foot. I will pray that our Bharat continues to progress... The arrangements are very good...' The Amarnath Yatra, a major annual pilgrimage in Hinduism, attracted both seasoned and first-time yatris. Srikrishan Yadav, who joined the yatra for the first time, told ANI, 'We are a group of six people. This is the first time I have come for the yatra. My heart is very happy and I am very excited for the darshan of Baba. I do not feel tired at all... The arrangements are very good.' New Delhi: At least 36 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured on Saturday morning when a bus part of the Pahalgam-bound convoy lost control and rammed into four stationary vehicles at Chanderkote in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district. The incident occurred at the Chanderkot Langer site, a designated stop for breakfast, where the convoy had halted. The last vehicle in the line failed to brake in time, triggering a chain collision. According to Deputy Commissioner (DEO), Ramban, the bus damaged four vehicles and caused minor injuries to the yatris. 'The last vehicle of the Pahalgam convoy lost control and hit stranded vehicles at the Chanderkot Langer site, damaging 4 vehicles and causing minor injuries to 36 Yatris. 'The convoy had stopped for breakfast at Chanderkote. Pilgrims suffered minor injuries, the majority of them willing to continue their pilgrimage after first aid,' he said. 'Three to four of the injured may not be able to proceed further due to the nature of their injuries,' he added. At the District Hospital Ramban, medical teams swiftly attended to the injured. 'A bus carrying pilgrims to the Amarnath Yatra collided with another bus. We received a total of 36 injured patients. All the patients have been treated here; we did not refer anyone to any other hospital,' said Dr Mohammed Rafi, In-charge Medical Superintendent, DH Ramban, ANI reported.
