Taylor Swift's Sweet Gesture for 'TSITP' Star Lola Tung Made Her "Nearly Pass Out"
The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung shared Taylor Swift once gave her a sweet gesture that made her "nearly pass out."
Tung appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where she and the host gushed about the pop superstar.
Tung attended the Eras Tour in June 2023 with TSITP creator Jenny Han.They say you should never meet your idols, but The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung is sure glad she met hers. Tung, like much of the world, is a certified Swiftie, and back in 2023 she had an interaction with Taylor Swift that made her swoon.
The 22-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, alongside her TSITP costars Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno, where she and Fallon had a full-on kiki about their love for the pop superstar.
"Do you have a favorite song from the show? Favorite Taylor song?," the host asked, to which Tung responded, "I mean, there's so many."
"She's so talented," Fallon added, to which the actress exclaimed, "She is!"
"Mine changes week to week," Fallon offered. "I know!" Tung replied giddily.
"What's your current?" the host rephrased the question. "Ok, ah. I mean, I feel like, 'The Way I Loved You' is a great one. 'Delicate' is great, as well," Tung shared.
"'Delicate' is my jam," Fallon agreed. "Right now, that's my jam. I'm into that and I'm into 'The Last Great American Dynasty.' I love that one. That one, I just jam out."
"'You Belong With Me,' classic. Come on," Tung continued.
When asked if she has met Swift, Tung revealed, "I've never met her officially, but I went to the Eras Tour concert with Jenny Han, who's the creator of our show, and we were right by the stage when she played 'False God,' which was also in the show," she said, pausing to laugh as the crowd cheered loudly and adding "Everyone's very excited about Taylor."
She continued, saying, "We were right by the stage and she looked at us, and she kind of waved and was like, 'I love you guys' and gave us a little heart. And I nearly passed out, so it was great."
Tung and Han attended Swift's record-breaking tour back in June 2023. The author captured several moments from the night, including both of them nearly crying while watching the music mogul perform. Other flicks showed them screaming along to "Enchanted," as well as many close up videos of Swift.

Paramore's Hayley Williams surprise releases nearly 20 songs: How to listen to new music
Hayley Williams is in the business of keeping fans on their toes. The rock singer and Paramore frontwoman has inconspicuously released an album's worth of music on her website accessible with a code. "Submit the exclusive Good Dye Young 16-digit access code that was sent to your inbox," a pop-up on the website says, prompting fans to enter digits sent to them by Williams' hair product line. "Check your inbox for an email from Good Dye Young. If you don't have an email with a code, maybe ask a friend for theirs," the message mysteriously states. From there, fans can access an old-school desktop layout with MP3 files of Williams' new songs, 17 in total, and click play on an audio player. The website also features a "misc" folder. Its contents include a video of Paramore performing in 2017, some lyrics scrawled in a coloring book, a photo of a "Hayley Williams is my favorite band" T-shirt and an audio clip of a child saying, "I'm sorry that you're going through something hard." Williams, 36, has been churning out a steady stream of musical treats. On July 23, she debuted her new song "Mirtazapine" on Nashville Public Radio WNXP. Days later, Paramore released a deluxe version of its 2005 debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," along with an archival EP from 2006.
