New Jersey fireman who sensationally used 40th birthday party to confront 'cheater' wife reveals next move

Daily Mail24-05-2025
A New Jersey firefighter has filed for divorce from his wife after a jaw-dropping confrontation at his own 40th birthday party, where he accused her of cheating in front of stunned family and friends.
Nick Galante, 40, a firefighter from Belleville, and his wife, Samantha Egues, 33, have been married for over three years and share two young children.
But their fairytale came crashing down publicly when Nick told a room full of their loved ones that Samantha had been unfaithful. Now, he's slapped her with divorce papers, reports the New York Post.
Though the couple reportedly continued living under the same roof after the viral incident, insiders say there's little hope for reconciliation now as 'the trust has been lost.' The papers were filed on May 17.
The dramatic showdown unfolded earlier this month during a surprise birthday bash organized by Samantha herself.
What was supposed to be a joyful celebration quickly spiraled into chaos when Nick took the mic - and took down his wife.
In a scene that has been viewed millions of times across social media, Nick called Samantha to stand beside him, saying he had a special 'gift' for her.
Referencing her ring and noting he was wearing the same shirt he wore when he proposed, he asked her to hand it over which she did, likely expecting an upgrade.
But instead of placing a new diamond on her hand, Nick planted a so-called mafia kiss of death on her lips, a mob boss symbol signifying a crime family member has been marked for death.
The New Jersey firefighter then launched into an explicit rant that has been shared widely on the internet, telling Samantha: 'I f****** know everything. That's right, b****. I know everything.'
He claimed he had seen pictures of her unidentified lover's penis and was aware that she allegedly took emergency contraception pills.
He yelled 'I f****** hate you' and 'I hate what you did to my children, the life you f****** stole from them'.
Friends and family only watched in horror as the drama played out.
Since then, the internet has been ablaze, with many rallying behind Nick and others demanding more proof of Samantha's alleged affair.
However, soon after the fiery party fiasco, Nick officially filed for divorce, citing shattered trust and irreconcilable differences, the Post reported.
'Nick is ready to move on and put this entire chapter of his life behind him,' a close friend told the Post. 'The trust there is lost, which is sad for their [two] kids. Frankly, I can't really blame him for [pursuing] the divorce, because he's still fairly young.'
Their fairytale came crashing down publicly when Nick told a room full of their loved ones that Samantha had been unfaithful. Now, he's slapped her with divorce papers, reports the New York Post.
Another added, 'The video [of the confrontation] going viral didn't help. There's really no coming back from that - it's going to [live] forever online. It's sad for those kids.'
'You don't confront your wife in front of every single person you know like that unless you're certain in your heart you're done [with her],' a source told the Post. 'There are lots of lessons to be learned here.'
Despite the meltdown going viral and the divorce papers being served, Samantha previously claimed the couple may not be done just yet.
'We're trying to work things out,' she told the Daily Mail after being reached by phone on May 14.
Declining to give a formal statement, she added, 'I don't know what videos you've seen but there's a lot of misinformation out there. I appreciate you calling me... I will tell Nick you called and if we are ready to give a statement, we will be in touch.'
As of now, neither Nick nor Samantha has commented publicly.

Shopping expert Angel Madison spotted popular sets on sale for up to 62 percent off. Some, including a personal favorite of Madison's, were down to as little as $5. 'I've done the work of scouring the Walmart website for deals at all price ranges, so you can grab a birthday gift or treat yourself in a major way,' she wrote for Country Living. 'If you are a truly last-minute shopper (like me) and even two-day shipping is too long, you can order most of these online, and pick it up at a store near you without leaving the car.' In-store, Madison follows a simple rule of thumb for LEGO sales: Aim for over 20 percent off on small to mid-size sets under $100, and look for 10 percent or more off on larger sets. 'LEGO sets are typically priced based on how many bricks are in the set, and for me, this over $30 and under $100 range is the sweet spot,' she explained. 'They are easy enough to build in a night, while still making an impressive addition to any book shelf.' The 62 percent off star of Madison's list is the Botanicals Field Flowers. 'I love dandelions, and currently have four of these in a bouquet because I buy them whenever I see them under $10,' she revealed. Customers looking for a more adult botanical set may also be interested in the plum blossom, a popular pick available for $24. 'Right now they are $5, and can be assembled in just a few minutes. I've already added another set to my cart.' She also praised the Peppa Pig DUPLO set, the $24 item suitable for children ages two and up that can float. While Madison did not reveal if she owns the Peppa Pig product, she proudly showed off two other favorites: the Disney and Pixar Up House and the Moana 2 HeiHei, which start at $38 and $32 respectively. 'The Up house proudly sits by my desk, and looks so fun with the colorful balloons on top,' she wrote, adding that the Moana HeiHei was 'a blast to assemble.' LEGO fans who aren't interested in Disney films can also purchase the Wicked Elphaba and Glinda duo, which costs $44 now that it's 20 percent off. Walmart shopper Angel Madison spotted fan favorite LEGO toys on sale for up to 62 percent off Besides the simple products, Madison revealed the must-have products that are worth looking at. 'The hard-to-find Back to the Future DeLorean is on sale, and it is one that I've seen sell out before,' she revealed. She also praised the Harry Potter castle set, which costs $141 when its 17 percent discount is applied. Out of all the products Madison has mentioned, the $180 A-Frame Cabin is her dream come true set, with 'charming details' like trees and animals. If Walmart sells out, shoppers can still find these sets at LEGO stores and .

Fan who threw sex toy faces multiple charges

August 5 - The spectator accused of throwing a sex toy onto the floor of a WNBA game last week in College Park, Ga., faces multiple criminal charges. College Park police arrested Delbert Carver, 23, on Saturday, and he was released from Clayton County Jail in Jonesboro, Ga., a day later on bond, according to multiple media reports on Monday. Carver is reportedly charged with disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal trespass. The case is considered "pending" with a court date yet to be established. In the Atlanta Dream's 77-75 loss to the Golden State Valkyries on July 29, a sex toy was tossed onto the court during game action. Play wasn't impacted before the object was removed. The WNBA said in a statement, "The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans. In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities." A similar incident occurred in another Valkyries road game on Friday, a 73-66 victory over the Chicago Sky. No arrests were made in relation to that occurrence, and Chicago police told ESPN on Monday, "We don't see a call of service for that incident." --Field Level Media

MTG urges Donald Trump to commute George Santos' prison sentence

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling on the Trump administration to commute the sentence of former Congressman George Santos, who was sentenced to seven years in prison earlier this year after pleading guilty to wire fraud and identity theft. ' George Santos has taken responsibility,' Greene wrote on X, sharing a letter she sent to the Justice Department's Office of the Pardon Attorney. 'He's shown remorse. It's time to correct this injustice.' 'I wholeheartedly believe in justice and the rule of the law, and I understand the gravity of such actions,' the letter reads. 'However, I believe a seven-year sentence for such campaign-related matters for an individual with no prior criminal record extends far beyond what is warranted.' Greene claimed Santos, who has sold Cameo videos speaking to fans and hosted a podcast playing on his reputation called Pants on Fire, was 'sincerely remorseful and has accepted full responsibility for his actions.' In April, Santos was sentenced to 87 months in prison for wire fraud and identity theft after pleading guilty last year and agreeing to nearly $374,000 in restitution payments. The following month, the former New York representative, who prosecutors accused of pocketing thousands of dollars in donor funds, appealed to the president for a full pardon. 'Previously, I was not entertaining a pardon because I didn't know what my judgment would be. Now, I am in the process of filling an application to a pardon for the president. I'll take a commutation, a clemency, whatever the president is willing to give me,' Santos said in an interview with Piers Morgan. 'I do believe this is an unfair judgment handed down to me,' he added. 'There was a lot of politicization over the process.' Santos, 37, is now in custody at a federal prison in Fairton, New Jersey. He was expelled from Congress in December 2023, following the release of a damning ethics report. He shared a goodbye post on X before entering prison thanking his allies and critics alike. 'Well, darlings…The curtain falls, the spotlight dims, and the rhinestones are packed,' he wrote. 'From the halls of Congress to the chaos of cable news what a ride it's been! Was it messy? Always. Glamorous? Occasionally. Honest? I tried… most days.' Santos was charged with 23 felony counts for three alleged schemes to use donor money and government assistance funds to enrich himself while running for Congress. He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges. The Republican, who was elected in 2022, also grabbed headlines for exaggerating details about his education and work experience, as well as his mother's whereabouts during 9/11 and his Jewish heritage. Greene has sought presidential intervention for controversial figures before. In May, she asked the president to pardon Derek Chauvin, the then-Minneapolis police officer who murdered George Floyd in a widely seen 2020 incident that set off national protests.
