Crowds held back from lunging into police van after Liverpool parade crash
Footage from the scene appears to show how angry fans responded after a white British man, 53, was detained at the scene.
Officers slammed shut the door of the van and surrounding it, pushing back men shouting and jostling towards them and holding one down on the floor.
During a victory parade last night, around 50 people were injured when the grey people carrier hit crowds shortly after the open top bus carrying Liverpool FC players had passed by in celebration of their Premier League trophy win.

Crowds had already broken the windows of the car in an attempt to slow it down.
Four people are still 'very, very ill in hospital' after the crash in Water Street, the city's metro mayor said this morning.
Ambulance service boss Mr Kitchin said that one of those seriously hurt was a child.
At a press conference last night, he said that 27 people were taken to hospital by ambulance, 20 people were treated for minor injuries at the scene but did not need further treatment, while others made their own way to hospital.
'Sadly, four of the injured were children who were enjoying the day with their friends and their families,' he said.

Footage circulating online appeared to show people in the crowd attempting to get close to the driver of the car before he was detained, with one managing to open the driver's car door.
Videos then appeared to show the driver close the car door before suddenly speeding up and veering into pedestrians on both sides of the crowded street.
The clips posted on social media then showed people from the crowds attempt to chase the driver – with some kicking the vehicle and smashing the back window.
Officers quickly surrounded the car as witnesses attempted to stop the driver, who was eventually arrested.

But, speaking for the first time, Georgian prosecutor Vakhtang Tsaluqelashvili revealed that he plans to contest the pregnant teenager's claims. And he added that the state has found evidence which proves her smuggling crime was premeditated and coolly carried out. Mr Salakaia told Tbilisi City Court yesterday: 'Bella has an obvious health condition - she is soon to be a mother to a baby boy and I want her to experience it while free. 'It's a pivotal moment in one's life, especially one so young. She is only 19.' Boy guilty of 'pointless' murder after stabbing victim, 18, through the heart
A boy who carried a Rambo-style knife to show others he was a 'big man' has been found guilty of murdering another teenager. Charles Hartle was 17 when he stabbed Noah Smedley through the heart last December 28 with a knife he had hidden in his tracksuit bottoms. Hartle was wearing a balaclava and 'grinned or smiled before deliberately aiming for and stabbing him in the chest', his trial heard. Now aged 18, he has been found guilty of murder after a two-week trial at Derby crown court. Hartle and his friends had arranged to meet Noah on the night of the murder in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Noah arrived riding an electric scooter and sold cannabis to the group, before Hartle turned on him and stabbed him in the chest. Hartle ran away from the scene, meeting his girlfriend at a house party where witnesses saw him confess what he'd done and showed her the knife – which has never been recovered. He then went to Derby city centre to distance himself from the crime scene. Noah had been found injured in the street by members of the public at about 8.20pm, but he was pronounced dead shortly before 9pm. In the hours after the murder, Hartle threw away his clothes, the knife, and his phone, before handing himself in to police. In a prepared statement he said he had acted in self defence, claiming Noah was 'about to lunge at me' and he 'instinctively lashed out'. Detective Constable Emma Barnes-Marriott said: 'Noah was an unarmed teenager, who was simply meeting with friends on the night Charles Hartle decided to end his life. 'Noah did not threaten Hartle and showed nothing but friendliness towards him that evening, and yet he was brutally murdered. 'Charles Hartle is a callous and calculating young man, who has shown no recognition or remorse for taking another teenager's life. 'He carried a knife with the intention to use it, over what appears to be a petty disagreement that only he was aware of, and a sense of bravado. 'I'd like to thank Noah's family for their support during our investigation and the trial. More Trending 'No family should have to go through the ordeal of losing a loved one, especially at such a young age, and to have to relive their last moments at trial is an additional blow that Hartle could have spared them from. 'Instead, despite overwhelming evidence, he remained silent and refused to take responsibility for Noah's murder. 'I know that nothing will bring Noah back but hope that today's verdict has provided his family with some comfort that justice has been done.' They have now renewed their appeal for information and shared a new picture of the missing Brit. Chief Inspector Wes Williams, North Wales Police, said: 'Officers are following several lines of investigation. 'We are appealing for information from anyone who knows Gerallt, or who may have been contacted by him, to contact us as soon as possible. 'We're keen to hear from anybody who believes they may have any information that could help our ongoing investigation. "Even the smallest lead could prove vital for Gerallt himself to make contact to let us, or his family, know that he is safe and well.' Cops also shared an image of the Llandudno man as they appealed for information to help with their search. He is described as being 5ft 8in with short, black hair. Gerallt was last seen wearing a navy-blue tracksuit and black trainers. Anyone with information is being urged to get in touch with North Wales Police, citing reference number 51398. It comes as the inquest into the death of Jay Slater, who vanished in Tenerife before being found at the bottom of a ravine last July, continued on Thursday. Apprentice bricklayer Jay flew to the Spanish island last June to attend the NRG music festival in Playa de las Americas with two friends. Meanwhile, a Brit tourist died while swimming during a boat trip around the Greek islands. The man, 75, was dragged from the sea off the holiday hotspot of Kefalonia during the tourist trip. He jumped into the water when the vessel stopped off Ammoudi Beach and fell unconscious before other passengers pulled him into the boat. The holidaymaker was given first aid on the vessel before he was pronounced dead in hospital. The circumstances of his death are being investigated by Greek authorities. A Foreign Office spokesperson told The Sun: 'We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities.' It comes just days after a pensioner was found dead on a sun lounger in nearby Crete. More to follow...
