Dubai Airshow unveils main agenda with night events, runway networking
The event promises to be a game-changer for the aviation sector, spotlighting innovation, connectivity and future technologies.
This year's show will feature new experiences, including the first-ever night-time programming and a unique runway networking event at SkyDive Dubai, blending industry engagement with entertainment such as drone shows, skydiving performances and live music.
Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Executive Director of the Military Committee organising the event, said the Airshow will showcase the UAE's growing leadership in aviation and defence, while supporting the next generation of talent and innovation.
The 2025 edition will also highlight sustainability, with a focus on environmentally friendly solutions and cross-sector collaboration.
Key features returning include VISTA, the hub for aviation and space start-ups, the NextGen Leaders programme, and the newly launched Academy for emerging talent.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), aviation contributes $92 billion to the UAE's GDP - 18.2 per cent of the total - with the Middle East's commercial aircraft fleet expected to grow by 5.1 per cent annually over the next decade.
Dubai Airshow will host senior executives through the Aerospace Executive Club and offer curated networking via an AI-powered matchmaking system.
The public will also have access to Skyview, featuring live flying displays and interactive experiences, expected to attract over 15,000 visitors.

The program is designed to train both local and international talent to navigate disruption and enhance future readiness. The Academy revealed that applications are now open and will be accepted until 31 July 2025. Interested individuals can apply through DFF's official website: The four-week program will begin on 20 October 2025. It offers an immersive educational experience led by global experts. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, strategic field visits, collaborative projects, and exclusive networking sessions. Dubai Future Academy reported that the program aims to equip executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and industry experts with the tools to anticipate and leverage transformative change. It focuses on developing future-ready leaders who can identify trends, seize opportunities, and apply advanced foresight strategies. The Academy shared that the first edition in 2024 received nearly 1,500 applications from around 100 countries. Out of these, 42 participants from 15 nations were selected. They engaged in 33 workshops and practical sessions. Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO and COO at DFF, said the program helps participants keep pace with technological and innovation-driven transformations across sectors. He explained that the initiative is aligned with Dubai's long-term commitment to future readiness and sustainable development. According to AlJaziri, the 2025 edition focuses on identifying future opportunities and converting them into real-world outcomes. It also aims to enhance human capital by developing agile, visionary expertise. The program will provide participants direct access to globally recognized experts. These include the Technology Innovation Institute, Micropolis (autonomous vehicles), the Sustainability and Innovation Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park, and Dubai Future Labs. These visits are intended to provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovations shaping the future. Dubai Future Academy confirmed that its broader mission is to build future-focused capabilities. Belhaif Al Nuaimi receives Russian and Indian delegations
Welcoming the Russian delegation In the first meeting, Dr Al Nuaimi welcomed Dr Hossam Azzam, Education Ambassador at the Academy of Financial Sciences under the Government of the Russian Federation and Head of the 'Majdalina' group for international relations, as well as Ms Anya Goryacheva, Coordinator of Russian–Emirati Economic Relations. Sharjah's global cooperation vision Dr Al Nuaimi stressed during both meetings the importance of such encounters in reinforcing international relations and promoting cultural and knowledge-based communication.
