Hankó: Government values all Hungarian talent
Speaking at the 'Talent's Talk 2025' event in Vienna, Minister Hankó said the government has allocated 400 million forints (EUR 990,000) for the next academic year's Stipendium Peregrinum scholarship scheme for Hungarian students who have applied to the world's best universities.
Meanwhile, Minister Hankó said the Pannonia scholarship programme has given more than 3,000 young Hungarians the chance to gain experience at Europe's and the world's leading universities over the past semester.
The government has also increased funding for young Hungarian researchers this year to 40 billion forints from 19 billion, the minister said.
He noted that Hungary's aim is to have a university among the world's top 100 institutions by 2030, and for Hungary to be among the ten most innovative countries in the European Union.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said the government has banned three Ukrainian officials from Hungary, saying they were responsible for forced conscription in Ukraine. 'It was not we who took away the Ukrainian minority's rights in Hungary. It was not we who stopped oil transports last year. It is not in Hungary that Ukrainian temples are set to fire. And it was not a Ukrainian who died during conscription in Hungary'.

President Sulyok: Transcarpathia is not alone
Emphasising that Hungary stands up for Hungarians, President Tamás Sulyok said on Thursday that Transcarpathia is not alone. 'I am certain that every decent person is deeply outraged by the vile attack on the Greek Catholic church in Palagy Komarivci (Palagykomoroc) and the incitement against Hungarians, regardless of their nationality,' the president said on Facebook. President Sulyok said such actions were 'unacceptable' not only in Europe, but anywhere else in the world. Prime minister meets UAE President during his first official visit to Hungary
