Why ‘Royal Family' is trending after Prince Harry's interview after the legal battle

Whether one likes it or not – a
royal family feud
never goes out of the trend!
The past few days have borne testament to that same old truth. As it's been (in)famously claimed, the relationship between the Royals and the media has always been a two-way street. The late People's Princess Diana, who was certainly a target of media scrutiny and exploitation, also allegedly and frequently used the media to her own advantage, particularly after her divorce. She recognized the power of media and sought to control its narrative, sometimes to her own benefit. The discussion over how much of the responsibility the media had in her story – in life and beyond so – has been part of her legacy now.

Prince Harry, who quite boisterously is his 'mother's son', seems to be on the same path.
Although the 'Spare' Prince of the royal family lost the legal battles a few days back, he hasn't withdrawn without making some noteworthy ripples post defeat.
What happened?
Prince Harry recently lost a legal challenge over the levels of security he and his family are entitled to while in the UK. The Duke of Sussex had been seeking to overturn a decision that had downgraded his security after he stopped being a working royal and moved to the US with the Duchess of Sussex.
After the legal loss, the second son of the British royal family appeared for an interview with the BBC after losing his latest legal challenge against the government over his security - a decision which he says has left him vulnerable to threats on his life.
From prospects of him returning to the UK with his kids to his relationship with his family and an ailing father, King Charles – the Duke of Sussex, as it seemed, bared his heart out in that explosive 'tell-all' interview.
The keynotes:
Prince Harry, along with his wife,
Meghan Markle
, stepped down as senior royals in January 2020 (Re: 'Megxit'), and relocated to Montecito, California. His relationship with the royal family has been strained ever since, and he confirmed in the interview that King Charles wasn't speaking to him because of the court battle.
However, Harry had an emotional plea as well, where he pondered over the idea of 'reconciliation', and said, "I don't know how much longer my father has - he won't speak to me because of this security stuff but it would be nice to reconcile." He added, 'There's no point continuing to fight anymore, life is precious.'
At the same breath, Harry mentioned, "Some members of my family will never forgive me" for writing his memoir Spare, and went on to say, "It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now. If they don't want that, that's entirely up to them," which adds fire the flame of the already ongoing rumor that Prince William might be considering stripping Prince Harry and Meghan of their HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) titles when he ascends the throne.
Prince Harry also pointed out how the 'lack of security' affected him, saying, 'I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,' adding a solemn lament, 'I love my country, I always have done… I miss the UK, I miss parts of the UK, of course I do - and I think that it's really quite sad that I won't be able to show my children my homeland."
What did the palace say?
Prince Harry did not hold much back in his latest BBC interview and went on to claim that some people involved 'want history to repeat itself.' He even reiterated his belief that the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures committee, known as Ravec, downgraded his security overnight in 2020, without due process, under the influence of members of the Royal Household. Although he refused to name names, he added, 'I know all the names of the people who were involved in this process.'
Now, after Harry's shocking claims on camera, Buckingham Palace, in a surprising move, issued a statement, via a spokesperson, who said, 'All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.'
But Prince Harry didn't stop there. Citing national security, he even called on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to investigate Ravec and potentially make changes to how the committee operates. While he didn't call for any specific action, Prince Harry suggested that they look into why the Royal Household even has representatives on the committee to begin with.
The 'resounding' aftermath:
Once all this chatter was done with, the loudest reaction came from the expected place – from Meghan Markle.
Just one day after the legal loss over reinstating their security, the Duchess of Sussex posted a photo on Instagram of Harry, with their son Prince Archie, 5, and their daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, in what seemed to be a statement of solidarity.
The captionless black-and-white image showed Prince Harry with his back toward the camera as he walked hand-in-hand with Archie, while Lilibet is sitting on his shoulders in what appeared to be the garden of the family's Montecito home.
Although the second son of the royal family has held nothing back while issuing a subtle warning, saying, 'if anything was to happen to me, my wife, or my father's grandchildren. If anything was to happen to them, look where the responsibility lies," the 'Suits' alum has not yet commented on any of the events. However, her post on social media has spoken volumes, feeding into the current internet frenzy.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Update: Gayatri reveals Angad, Pari and Ritik are not Tulsi and Mihir's biological kids after Angad gets arrested

The latest episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 starts with police reaching the Shanti Niketan to arrest Angad. Mihir, Tulsi and the entire family ask the Inspector the reason behind arresting Angad and he reveals that they are arresting him for drink and drive. He further reveals that the blood test reports also prove that he was drunk while driving and caused the accident. But Angad denies the allegations and requests him parents to believe him. Tulsi refuses to trust him after hearing about the blood test reports and starts beating him. However, Mihir supports Angad but the cops arrest him and take to the police station. At the police station, Angad tells his parents that he wasn't the one driving the car and that his friend Sameer was behind the wheel, also claiming he wasn't drunk. While Mihir believes his version of the story, Tulsi remains doubtful and doesn't trust his words. When Tulsi calls Sameer, he lies and puts the entire blame on Angad. As Tulsi rushes from the police station disappointed, she bumps into a stranger who is there with a hidden motive. At home Tulsi is worried about Angad when Gayatri starts taunting him about not raising him well. However, Mihir defends Tulsi and says he is to be blamed equally as raising a child is both mother and father's responsibility. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Quinta Normal: Unsold Furniture Liquidation 2024 (Prices May Surprise You) Unsold Furniture | Search Ads Learn More Undo Furthermore, Gayatri shares that only Hemant, her son could have got Angad bail but he has already left for the US. Just then Hemant steps in to help Angad. Hemant cancels all his important meetings to support the family during the crisis. Just as Mihir is about to sign the bail papers arranged by Hemant, Tulsi intervenes. She firmly stops him and reminds everyone of the Virani family's values and principles, insisting that Angad, whom she still considers guilty, does not deserve to be granted bail. Mihir, who wants to get Angad released on bail doesn't agree with her thoughts and argues with her to think about the situation as mother. Just then Gayatri taunts Tulsi for not being Angad's real mother. She reveals that Angad, Pari and Ritik are not Mihir and Tulsi's biological kids. She shares that they are Kesar's children and Tulsi adopted them after her sister passed away. The other two children stand up for their mother, insisting that she has always treated them all with equal love and fairness. As emotions run high within the family, Tulsi quietly turns to prayer, hoping for some light in the midst of the turmoil. Meanwhile, a new Maharashtrian family is introduced. A young member of this family is shown protecting a plant from the heavy rain—just like Tulsi is doing at Shanti Niketan. It is shown that the CCTV footage of the accident was deleted to protect Angad's friend, Sameer, from going to jail. The Mumbai traffic police officer who helped with this turns out to be the brother of the Maharashtrian girl. The episode comes to an end. Inside pics! Community service, security boost, crowd control top clubs' Durga Puja grant spend wish list in Kolkata

Kolkata: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee's announcement of an increased grant of Rs 1.1 lakh to each registered Durga Puja committee in the state has added to the festive fervour. This move has been welcomed by organisers and the larger puja fraternity at a time when artisans are busy giving shape to Durga idols and pandals across the city. The announcement, an increase from last year's Rs 85,000, has sent the city's thousands of puja committees to the table to plan how to spend the money in the most efficient way. While the lights, pandals, and processions will certainly dazzle, organisers are prioritising security, crowd management, and community engagement this year. Part of the funds will also go towards increasing the pay of sanitation workers, electricians, and other essential service providers during the festival. Bhowanipur 75 Palli will spend the grant on promoting the 'Save Drive, Save Life' campaign, besides endorsing Bengal as a tourist destination. "We will put in place healthcare facilities," said Subir Das, secretary of the puja committee. The increased funding will also allow committees to enhance safety measures without compromising on artistic creativity, organisers said. Since Durga Puja was inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021, the festival has been attracting visitors from around the world. Gourab Biswas of United Club in Baguiati said the organisers would use the funds to increase fire safety measures in the pandal, insure the puja, and distribute clothes, books, and sweets among underprivileged children. "We will also use the funds to sensitise people about malaria and dengue," said Biswas. "We plan to use the funds to hire additional security personnel and grant will help us do that without cutting corners," said an organiser. The increased fund would help organisers of Durga Puja in Mohammad Ali Park to organise the festival efficiently, said Ashok Ojha, Joint Secretary of the Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja committee. The budget for this Puja had dropped by 75% after after a portion of the park caved in a few years ago.
