BRB2 review — a homage to the Ballet Russes from Birmingham's finest

Times07-05-2025
Young talent claims the spotlight in BRB2, Birmingham Royal Ballet's ensemble of recent dance graduates. Don't go expecting to see Carlos Acosta in action. Now in his sixth year as BRB's high-profile director, the Cuban-born ballet superstar is an overseer of the company's junior group.
The youth company's touring showcase this year, optimistically titled Carlos Acosta's Ballet Celebration, pays tribute to modern ballet history. The touring programme launched at the Birmingham Hippodrome consists of excerpts from five classic dance works, all first seen more than a hundred years ago thanks to the artistic nous of the impresario Sergei Diaghilev and the famed Ballets Russes.
All but one of the dances on view were choreographed by Mikhail Fokine. Les Sylphides, dating from 1909, is

Controversial I'm A Celeb star signs up for Bake Off eighteen months after jungle feud

CONTROVERSIAL I'm A Celeb star is swapping creepy crawlies for cake tins - signing up for Bake Off just 18 months after a fiery jungle feud. The reality TV troublemaker is set to roll up their sleeves and step into the famous tent for the celebrity edition. 5 5 Nella Rose caused chaos in the I'm A Celeb jungle back in 2023 with her headline-grabbing clashes and tearful exit. Now the YouTube sensation is hoping to whip up something sweeter as she trades drama for dessert on The Great Celebrity Bake Off. Viewers are already bracing themselves for kitchen meltdowns. A source said: "Nella's a Channel 4 favourite and has done loads of digital channel. She is a big personality with a huge younger following and bosses are keen to tap into that. "She proved she could be box office when she was on I'm A Celeb, but Bake Off chiefs think she'll be able to show a different side to her personality in the tent and will be a lot of fun." Singers Rag'n'Bone Man and JoJo Siwa are also signing up to take part. Strictly contestant Vicky Pattison has also joined the line-up, along with Molly-Mae Hague, Mark Wright, Edith Bowman, Jon Richardson and One Day actress Ambika Mod. I'm A Celeb star looks completely different as she shows off incredible weight loss and denies using fat jabs NELLA'S I'M A CELEB JOURNEY Nella caused a stir in the jungle during her time on I'm A Celeb in 2023. Viewers were left divided as the YouTube star didn't hold back, delivering fiery one-liners and emotional outbursts that made her one of the most talked-about contestants of the season. She famously clashed with her campmates, including Fred Sirieix, just days into the series. Fred made a remark which seemingly offended Nella about his age, in which he told the social media star: 'I am old enough to be your dad." Fred quickly apologised and Nella accepted, with a condition. Nella told Fred in the show: "I accept your apology, but let's not be friends." She later told hosts Ant and Dec she didn't think Fred considered the emotional weight of his remark. Despite the drama, she built a strong fanbase and proved she wasn't afraid to speak her mind. NELLA'S NEW GIG Nella landed a gig as the co-host of the Channel 4.0 show Boss Pitches. She co-hosted a six-part series with fellow internet personality, GK Barry, 24. Best online roulette sites in the UK: Top picks for 2025

AN ICONIC casino game, roulette has long been one of the most popular and exciting games in any casino, and its popularity has only grown with the rise of online gaming. Today, players can enjoy the thrill of the spinning wheel from just about anywhere thanks to a wide range of online roulette sites available in the UK. These platforms offer a larger variety of roulette games than any brick-and-mortar casino could hope to, paired with innovative live dealer options that make players feel almost like they're playing the real thing. In this article, we'll give you an overview of our top 10 favourite platforms, tell you what makes a good online casino, provide some roulette tips, and more. A closer look at the best roulette online casinos 1. Casimba Number of roulette games: 15 Live dealer roulette: Yes Promotions for roulette: No Casimba has been around for nearly a decade, in that time making a name for itself chiefly with generous ongoing promotions such as weekly cash prizes and special prize giveaways. Its game library includes over 1,000 slots and 15 different roulette titles, of which seven feature live dealers. Live dealer titles are provided by industry titans Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming and include both standard roulette and modern variants such as Lightning Roulette and Power Up Roulette. Other roulette options on the site include three variants of European Roulette, Gridiron Roulette, Multifire Roulette and Platinum Roulette. You can search for the games individually or filter them by whether they feature a live dealer or not. We particularly liked how the site's roulette page also features a detailed roulette guide for new players, including explaining the basic terminology, explaining payouts, and answering the most common player questions. 2. Mr Vegas Mr Vegas is, these days, a veteran in the online casino space, having first opened its doors back in 2011. Most famous for its novel multiplayer slot promotions called Encores, it also features numerous other worthwhile promotions for both new and existing players, and while there are rarely roulette-focused promos, most of the casino offers, such as bonus funds, count for roulette games, too. The site's vast game library contains over 50 roulette titles of all kinds, including several live roulette variants from top providers like Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming, and other excellent roulette variants from the likes of Playtech and Microgaming. In addition to classic American and European Roulette variants, there are numerous multiplier versions such as Lightning Roulette, and Multifire Roulette (each with several variants available) and even fun thematic takes on roulette such as Vinnie Jones Roulette and Space Invaders Roulette. 3. BetMGM BetMGM was a major name in the US and the rest of the world for a long time before finally opening up its online casino offer to UK players in 2023. As expected, this glamorous casino quickly won players over with its mix of excellent game selection, a well-designed and responsive website, and tons of bonus offers for veterans and newcomers alike. Aside from thousands of top slot games, there are over 70 roulette options, covering everything from traditional variants to modernised takes on the game like Fireball Roulette, Immersive Roulette, First Person Roulette, and more. Our one complaint would be that a clear focus was put on live roulette, which not only features over 50 titles (compared to around 20 for standard roulette) but also gets its own section on the site, while roulette titles without a live dealer are lumped in together with other table games. 4. SpinzWin SpinzWin may not be as well-known as some other names on our list, but this operator offers everything you'd need from a modern casino looking to attract new players: an excellent game selection (including a large variety of slots and roulette tables), a fast and responsive website, a very generous welcome promotion that also applies to roulette, and a solid variety of fast and secure payment methods. In terms of roulette, there are currently 19 live games, mostly featuring newer roulette variants such as Speed Roulette and Quantum Roulette, but also with some unique picks that will appeal to fans of the operator's sportsbook, in particular Playtech's Football Roulette and French Football Roulette. The casino also features numerous variants of and low-stakes (10p, 20p) roulette, but also VIP roulette, so players with all kinds of budgets and gaming appetites have something to look forward to. 5. 888 Casino 888 Casino is one of the world's largest and most successful casinos and sportsbooks, and for good reason. From a massive sportsbook to thousands of top-quality slot and table games, every player on 888 is absolutely spoiled for choice. The same goes for the roulette selection on the site, which is one of the largest ones we've seen on the market, with over 10 standard and more than 70 live roulette variants available. 6. Casumo With over 13 years of industry experience, Casumo is well-positioned to know what modern players want. From a slick user interface and snappy casino mobile apps to a large selection of games and secure payment methods, it ticks every checkbox we look for in our reviews. The roulette section features 62 titles, including 21 live dealer games, though you'll have to look for non-live titles in the slots section, which is a design oversight we also noted with BetMGM (on the bright side, a quick search for 'roulette' will show all 62 games). In terms of casino games, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, and Playtech titles dominate, and you can find everything from European to Lightning Roulette. There are also numerous variants not often found on other sites, such as Hindi Roulette and Lucky Ball Roulette, and Casumo even features a site-exclusive variant called Casumo Live. 7. bet365 Whether you're a sports or casino fan, bet365 is a legendary operator in the industry. It can back up that legendary status, too, with unmatched game selections and promotions for just about anything you can think about. There are around 60 roulette games, featuring not only the best live dealer variants from the top providers but every variant of the game you can think of, including rare regional ones such as Greek, Turkish and Dutch (Nederlandse) Roulette. On top of that, you can play eight exclusive titles, including bet365 Roulette, Boost Roulette, and Super Spin Roulette. Variants are all nicely arranged into categories: Exclusives, Multiplier, Classic and Around the World, making it super easy to find your favourite roulette game. But that's not all: bet365 also features regular roulette-specific promotions, such as the Live Roulette Lucky 7, where players can win prizes for playing on specific live roulette tables. 8. Duelz Casino If you're looking for a unique casino with a strong multiplayer focus and excellent game selection, Duelz is just the ticket. Although the focus is primarily on slot games, which feature regular multiplayer tournaments, the site also occasionally offers roulette-focused promotions. Additionally, it boasts a respectable 57 roulette games, including 30 live dealer variants. Everything you'd expect is here, including games from top providers such as Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming, and a good variety of both classic and modern roulette variants, including American, European, and French Roulette, but also Lightning and Speed Roulette, along with some unique picks like Airwave, Double Ball, Diamond Rush, and Glam Roulette. We also like the very snappy and responsive user interface, which lets you quickly search for your favourite game or provider, but also recommends popular titles for new players who are unsure what they want to play. 9. Party Casino A veteran in the online casino space, Party Casino has been around for nearly 30 years. In addition to a large variety of excellent slot games, it also features one of the largest roulette collections we've seen online, with over 90 titles, 19 of which have live dealers. If you can think of a roulette game, Party Casino probably has it. There are classic variants covered by several different providers (including slight variations such as European Roulette Pro by Play'n Go), a ton of modern roulette variants such as Fireball and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, regional ones like Deutsches Roulette, immersive and first-person options, and, of course, celebrity ones like Vinnie Jonse Roulette. All games load quickly and stream buffer-free and Party Casino even occasionally gives out free chips for some games, usually as part of a friend referral scheme or in time-limited special promotions. 10. Betfred Betfred is a household name in Britain, and with good reason. While best known for its football betting selection, the site also features an excellent casino with a curated selection of top roulette games on the market. American, French, Hindi, Speed, Quantum, Auto, and even K-Pop Roulette provide all the variety you'd need, but you can also play fun variants like Cash Collect Roulette, Millionaire Roulette, and yes, even Football Roulette, for those roulette fans among punters who just can't let the footie go. There is even an exclusive Betfred Roulette game you won't find anywhere else. And, best of all? Betfred has a Live Casino welcome offer for new players, requiring you to opt in and stake at least £10. After that, you can claim £5 in Golden Chips valued at either 50 x £0.10, 10 x £0.50 or 5 x £1, whichever you prefer. What makes a good roulette casino Online roulette casino sites are more popular than ever, but not all platforms offer the same level of quality or trust. To find the best online roulette sites, we relied on our Sun Factor methodology and assessed a range of criteria that influence player safety, gameplay variety, and overall experience on the site. In the following paragraphs, we'll break down the key factors we looked at, and you should too, to help you choose the right roulette site for your needs. Security and licensing When it comes to online gambling, security and proper licensing are non-negotiable must-haves for any casino wanting to make our list. The best roulette sites in the UK are licensed by respected regulators such as the UKGC (UK Gambling Commission), which ensures that all regulated casino sites follow strict industry standards and player protection protocols. Advanced encryption technology helps safeguard player accounts (private data and deposits) while responsible gaming tools, such as the ability to set deposit and gameplay limits or take time-outs (but also links to helpful organisations like GamCare), help players stay in control and keep gambling fun. Always verify that a roulette site is fully licensed before registration to avoid risks and ensure a secure gambling experience. Number & variety of roulette games The top roulette sites online offer a wide selection of roulette games, including popular variations like European Roulette, American Roulette, and French Roulette. Look for platforms that partner with leading software developers such as Evolution Gaming, NetEnt, and Playtech, known for their high-quality roulette tables and great virtual roulette experiences. A good variety gives players the option to explore different game variations and strategies, from lightning roulette with multipliers to classic single-zero roulette wheels, or maybe find variants with the lowest possible house edge to increase their chances of racking up some wins. Live dealer options For players seeking to most closely emulate playing at a brick-and-mortar joint, the best live roulette sites deliver an immersive casino experience with real dealers, HD streams, and real-time spins. Top providers like Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play host premium live roulette games, including titles like Lightning Roulette, Immersive Roulette, and Double Ball Roulette. These games simulate the thrill of a physical roulette table, where players can watch the ball drop while placing bets, and interact with the dealer just like they would in traditional casinos. Bonuses and promotions for roulette We always try to look for casino sites that include roulette in their promotions. Although it's far rarer than slot promotions, the best online betting sites for roulette attract players with bonuses tailored specifically for roulette fans. Look for offers like deposit bonuses, cashback offers or bonus cash specifically for roulette games. However, always check the wagering requirements as some bonuses may be restricted or have limited value for table games. Mobile experience A smooth mobile gaming experience is essential in 2025, and the best roulette sites ensure players can gamble on the go as easily as on the desktop, if not easier. Whether through a responsive browser version of the site or a well-designed dedicated casino app, top roulette casinos let you access games from handheld devices like iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. We look for mobile-friendly site interfaces, fast game loading times, and intuitive app layouts that make it easy to place bets, manage your account, and enjoy roulette spins from anywhere. Payment options Most roulette sites these days offer numerous multiple payment options like Visa, Mastercard, bank transfers, Paysafecard, Google and Apple Pay, and more. That said, not all of them support e-wallets like PayPal, Skrill, or Neteller for their slot or table game promotions, including those relating to roulette. Besides that, not all roulette sites offer the same experience when it comes to withdrawing and depositing money, from the time required for mandatory checks before your transfer is authorised to whether there are fees or limits on maximum daily/weekly/monthly deposits or withdrawals. The best roulette sites, such as those found on our list, offer not only a large variety of available payment methods and fast withdrawals without any fees or unreasonably low limits. Customer support Good customer support is a surefire sign of a trustworthy roulette site. The best online roulette sites offer 24/7 help via live chat, email, or phone, addressing issues such as delayed withdrawals, deposits, or bonus queries and technical problems. Quality support ensures that players can resolve concerns quickly, which is especially important when real money winnings are at stake. Top roulette sites also often include helpful guides and FAQs that can answer most player questions without the need to get the support team involved. Different types of online roulette games The best roulette sites in the UK offer a wide range of roulette variants, each with its own set of rules, odds, and strategies. Understanding the different types of roulette games is essential for improving your gameplay on casino sites and making the most of your bankroll. Below are the most popular versions found at popular UK roulette casinos. European Roulette European Roulette is the most common version available at the best roulette sites, known for its single-zero roulette wheel, which reduces the house edge to 2.7%. This version is preferred by many seasoned players due to the better odds compared to American Roulette. Players can place a wide range of bets on numbers, colours, or sections of the roulette table, and many use it as part of a larger strategy or system to improve their chances of winning. French Roulette French Roulette is similar to the European version, featuring a single-zero wheel, but it also includes special rules like La Partage and En Prison. These rules reduce the casino's advantage even further, making it one of the most player-friendly roulette variants. It's often recommended by expert guides and articles for players focused on long-term value and reducing their losses. American Roulette American Roulette adds a second zero (00) to the roulette wheel, increasing the house edge to 5.26%. While this version is more common at land-based casinos in the US, it's still found at many online roulette casino sites. Due to the higher house edge, it's generally better suited for players who don't mind a bit of extra risk when gambling. Live Roulette Live Roulette brings the real-world casino experience directly to your screen. Streaming in HD with real dealers, live roulette games offer an interactive and immersive format for roulette players who want to feel more like they're in a real brick-and-mortar casino. Found at all of the best online roulette sites, these tables often come with a wide range of table limits, side bets, and unique features that make each spin exciting. It's one of the top choices for those seeking an authentic roulette experience, but also those who want to try new and exciting variants, which we'll briefly describe below. Varieties of live roulette games UK casino platforms now offer tons of live roulette variants designed to add variety and excitement to your standard roulette gameplay. Here are some of the most popular types: Lightning Roulette First developed by Evolution, this version adds electrifying multipliers to randomly selected numbers, offering payouts of up to 500x. It's perfect for players who enjoy high-volatility action and the potential for huge wins. Immersive Roulette Using cinematic multi-angle cameras and slow-motion replays of the ball landing in a pocket, Immersive Roulette delivers a truly dramatic live roulette experience, perfect for players who love quality production and value entertainment above anything else. Speed Roulette On the opposite end of the spectrum from immersive roulette, speed roulette is designed for players who want fast-paced games with shorter waiting times between spins. While there's only so much roulette strategy you can rely on in a fast-paced game like this, speed roulette is great for those looking to get in more bets in less time. Quantum Roulette A newer variant offered by Playtech, this version includes special multipliers and a futuristic design, creating a unique twist on classic roulette that's popular with younger players. In a similar fashion to Lightning Roulette, certain numbers on the table will get boosted modifiers, but only "Straight Up" bets on those specific numbers are accepted. A high-risk, high-reward variant of an already high-risk, high-reward game. Other variants You may also find exclusive branded tables like Grosvenor Casino's own live rooms, or special versions available at platforms like Mr. Green, Duelz, and LeoVegas. These branded games each offer slightly different limits, table styles, and bonus money offers and are well worth checking out, too. How to choose the right roulette table Selecting the right roulette table can significantly impact your gaming experience. Start by checking the table limits: low-limit tables are ideal for casual players and bankroll management, while high-stakes tables offer more risk and bigger potential payouts. Essentially, make sure that your betting level aligns with your strategy and budget. The type of roulette also matters. European roulette, with its single zero, offers better odds than American roulette, which includes a double zero and a higher house edge. If you find a French roulette table, even better, as rules like La Partage can further improve your chances. You'll also need to choose between live and RNG (random number generator) tables. RNG games are faster and fully virtual, while live roulette features real dealers for an experience closer to real-life roulette, and often extra features like Lightning Roulette multipliers. Both have their appeal; it just depends on what kind of entertainment you are after. Lastly, consider the platform, layout, and theme. Good casino sites should be secure, work across mobile and desktop, and support smooth deposits and withdrawals via trusted payment options like Visa, PayPal, or Skrill. The table's design, whether classic or themed, can also affect how focused and comfortable you feel while playing. It might not make a difference to the result, but it will to how much you'll enjoy the game. In short, the best table is the one that fits your goals, whether you're looking to win big or just sit back and enjoy the thrill of the wheel, no matter what happens. Different types of roulette bets Understanding the different types of roulette bets is essential to developing a sound strategy. The two main categories are inside bets and outside bets. Inside bets offer higher payouts but lower odds of winning, while outside bets cover more of the wheel and hit more often, but naturally come with lower payouts. Straight-Up 1 number 35:1 High A bet placed directly on any single number, including 0 and 00 in American Roulette. Split 2 numbers 17:1 High A bet placed on two adjacent numbers on the roulette wheel. Street 3 numbers (a row) 11:1 Medium-High A bet on three numbers in a row on the layout. The numbers are all consecutive, for example, 1,2,3. Corner (Square) 4 numbers 8:1 Medium-High A bet at the intersection of four numbers, such as 8, 9, 11, and 12. Six Line 6 numbers 5:1 Medium Covers two adjacent rows of three numbers, for a total of six consecutive numbers. Dozens 12 numbers 2:1 Medium A bet on the 1st (1–12), 2nd (13–24), or 3rd (25–36) dozen. Column 12 numbers (column) 2:1 Medium Covers an entire vertical column on the table. Red / Black 18 numbers 1:1 Low A bet on the colour of the winning number. Even / Odd 18 numbers 1:1 Low A bet on whether the number will be even or odd. High / Low 18 numbers 1:1 Low A bet on whether the number is between 1 and 18 or 19 and 36. Roulette bonuses and promotions for UK players UK roulette players have access to a wide variety of bonuses and promotions designed to enhance their gaming experience and extend their playtime. Whether you're trying out a new roulette site or returning to your favourite online platform, here are the main types of bonuses you'll commonly find on the best roulette sites in the UK and a short guide on how to make the most of them. Welcome bonuses A casino welcome bonus is the most common offer at online roulette casino sites. It typically comes in the form of a match bonus, where the casino matches a percentage of your first deposit, often 100% up to a certain amount. For example, if a site offers a 100% bonus up to £100 and you deposit £50, you'll get £50 in bonus funds to use on eligible casino games, including roulette variants. UK players should always check the T&Cs: many casino sites limit how much of your bonus cash can be used on roulette games, or may apply reduced wagering contributions for table games compared to slots. Still, a good welcome bonus can give you a great head start and is an essential part of the offering at the best online roulette sites. No deposit bonuses No deposit bonuses are rare but highly sought after, especially for new players trying out online roulette sites without wanting to commit with real money. These offers give you a small amount of bonus money or some free spins just for signing up, usually after completing registration and verifying your account. Although the payouts from no deposit bonuses tend to be capped, and strict wagering requirements often apply, they're a risk-free way to test out the roulette tables. Just make sure you're on a secure, UKGC-licensed roulette site and that the offer applies to them, as these promotions are often limited to slot games only. Roulette-specific promotions Some of the best live roulette sites and online roulette sites run exclusive promotions for roulette games, particularly live dealer ones from top software developers like Evolution Gaming. These can include cashback offers on losses, bonus spins on special tables like Lightning Roulette, leaderboard races, or prize draws for dedicated regular players. You may also see multipliers, bonus cash triggers, or weekly reload bonuses that only apply to roulette variants, particularly on niche roulette sites or new platforms looking to attract UK customers. These promotions are ideal for those who want to focus only on roulette, but they are not as easy to find as similar offers for slot games. Cashback bonuses Some roulette sites online offer cashback deals, where you get back a percentage of your losses over a given period, usually weekly or monthly. This type of bonus is especially useful for players who place regular bets and want some insurance when the luck runs cold. Cashback can sometimes be paid as real money, but is more often provided as bonus funds with lower or no wagering requirements. Look for casino sites with transparent cashback rules, clear percentage rates, and fast withdrawals, especially if you're using e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill, which are often excluded from such promotions. Payment method bonuses Speaking of payment methods and bonuses, some roulette casinos reward players for using certain payment methods, like Visa or PayPal, to make their deposits. These bonuses can come as small top-ups or bonus money offers added to your first deposit via that method. If you're playing from a mobile device or tablet, check that your chosen casino app supports these payment methods so you can take advantage of the bonuses. How to take advantage of these bonuses To get the most out of roulette promotions, here are a few basic tips: Read the terms and conditions carefully, especially paying attention to the wagering requirements, game restrictions, and expiry dates. Confirm if roulette bets contribute fully toward wagering or only a percentage. Stick to secure, licensed roulette sites that offer a high-quality gaming experience and have clear bonus rules. Use comparison pages and expert reviews like ours to find the best online betting sites for roulette with offers tailored specifically to roulette players in the UK. Traditional vs online roulette Roulette has long been a favourite casino game at traditional brick-and-mortar joints, but today's players have more options than ever thanks to numerous online roulette sites popping up in the past twenty or so years. Here's a short breakdown of how traditional and online roulette compare across key factors that contribute to the gaming experience. Convenience and accessibility One of the biggest advantages of online roulette is convenience. You can play anytime, anywhere. Whether on your iOS or Android tablet, laptop, or desktop computer, online platforms are designed for seamless gameplay with fast registration and a range of supported payment methods that include not only traditional options like Visa and bank payments but also handy (and highly secure) e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller, and PayPal. Traditional roulette, by contrast, limits you to physical locations, mostly cash or credit card payments, and specific opening and closing hours you'll have to plan around. Variety and game selection Land-based casinos often feature only a few roulette tables or variations, usually including European Roulette and American Roulette. Online, however, players get access to hundreds of roulette variants, including Lightning Roulette, French Roulette, and other exciting versions with special features, multipliers, and flexible table limits. The best roulette sites in the UK offer everything from RNG (random number generator) games to immersive live roulette streams with real dealers, so you're spoiled for choice. Bonuses and promotions Brick-and-mortar casinos rarely offer bonuses for roulette players, aside from certain loyalty programs that mostly translate to convenience perks if you're a well-known player at the casino. In contrast, online roulette casino sites offer generous welcome bonuses, deposit bonuses, cashback offers, and match bonus promotions. These offers often come with wagering requirements, so it's important to check the terms and conditions documents. That said, they can significantly increase your chances of turning a small deposit into a larger payout, so they're always worth seeking out. Social and sensory experience There's no denying the thrill of standing around a physical roulette table, watching the croupier spin the ball, and placing your chips next to other players. When it comes to roulette, the sheer entertainment value is hard to beat. Online casino sites replicate this as best they can with HD streams, live dealers, and social chat options, but for many players, it's still not quite the same as the real thing. Security and privacy When playing online, it's essential to choose UKGC-licensed and secure roulette sites that follow industry standards for data protection, fair use of software, and reliable and fast money withdrawals. Reputable platforms also support responsible gambling tools, including the ability to set deposit limits and ask for a time-out or cooling-off period. Traditional casinos typically have longer-running reputations, so you don't have to worry about scams or shady underhanded practices and most transactions are done on the spot, so players have less reason to worry about potential complications. Payment methods for UK roulette players UK players have access to a wide range of payment methods when playing at online roulette casino sites, making it easy to manage deposits and withdrawals, but also allowing us to get picky with what we want to use. Choosing the right payment method can impact everything from fund security and transfer speed to bonus eligibility and the ability to meet wagering requirements. Here's a quick look at the most popular options in the UK: Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) Debit cards remain the most widely accepted payment method on even the best roulette sites in the UK. They're easy to use, secure, and pretty much always eligible for all sorts of deposit bonuses. However, many players, especially among the younger crowd, find them a bit antiquated and slow, especially when waiting for withdrawals to clear. E-wallets (PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) E-wallets are a favourite for many UK roulette players thanks to their fast withdrawal times, excellent security and privacy, and ease of use across both mobile and desktop devices. Top roulette sites often support a variety of e-wallets, although it's worth noting that deposits made with some e-wallets may be excluded from bonus offers, so always make sure to read the t&c's carefully. Bank transfers For higher stakes or larger amounts (or simply old-fashioned players), bank transfers provide a reliable way to move money directly between your account and the casino. While safe, this method can be slower than others, both for deposits and withdrawals, but there are modern variants that expedite things or add additional security layers (or both) like Trustly. Pay by mobile (Boku, PayForIt) Pay by mobile options are ideal for quick, small deposits, especially if you're playing online roulette on your phone or tablet. Services like Boku let you add funds directly to your casino account via your mobile bill. However, withdrawals aren't supported, and deposit limits are usually lower, making this a good option for casual players but less than ideal for high rollers. Prepaid cards & vouchers Some UK roulette sites also accept prepaid cards or voucher systems like Paysafecard. These allow players to fund their casino account without sharing banking information, adding a layer of privacy and control that many appreciate. Like mobile payments, though, they typically don't support withdrawals. Betting limits and minimum deposits for roulette games When it comes to playing roulette online, both betting limits and minimum deposit requirements can vary depending on both the roulette site and the specific game type. This flexibility is part of what makes online roulette casino sites appealing to such a broad range of players, from cautious low-stakes users to seasoned high rollers. Minimum deposits Most UK casino sites require a minimum deposit of around £10, although some platforms allow lower amounts (sometimes as little as £5), particularly when using payment methods like Pay by Mobile or Skrill. Keep in mind that to claim a welcome bonus or other promotions, the minimum deposit is usually higher, typically starting at £10 or so. Betting limits Roulette games themselves come with their own table limits, which vary by version (e.g., European, American, Lightning Roulette) and whether the game is live or RNG-based. Here's a general guide: Low-stakes tables: Minimum bets from as little as 10p to £1 per spin, ideal for beginners or players managing a small bankroll. Standard tables: Bets typically range from £1 to £100. High-roller tables: Maximum bets can go up to £10,000 or more, especially in exclusive live dealer rooms or for invite-only VIP games. Live roulette games powered by leading providers like Evolution Gaming often offer a wider selection of table limits, allowing players to choose the level of action that suits their strategy and budget. Some sites also allow players to set personal limits as part of responsible gaming features, helping to control losses and manage risk better. Online roulette tips for beginners If you're new to online roulette, it's easy to get caught up in the thrill of the spin, but learning a few fundamentals can make a big difference in both your results and overall gaming experience. Here are some practical tips to help you start strong and play smart. 1. Understand each bet type Before you place your first stake, take time to learn the difference between inside and outside bets, the odds associated with each, and how they affect your chances (check out our table earlier in the article for tips on this). For example, betting on a single number (a straight-up bet) has a higher payout but a much lower chance of success, while even-money bets (like red/black or odd/even) offer more frequent but comparatively smaller wins. 2. Start with European or French Roulette Always choose European roulette or French roulette when available. These variations feature a single zero, giving you better return to player (RTP) percentages and lowering the house edge. American Roulette, with its double-zero, increases the edge in favour of the casino and should generally be avoided if you want to maximise your chances of winning. 3. Play demo games first Most casino sites offer free play or demo versions of their slot and roulette games. These are perfect for coming to grips with the gameplay without risking any real money. It's also a good way to explore different roulette variants, from traditional tables to fast-paced newer options like Quantum and Lightning Roulette. 4. Manage your bankroll effectively Set a budget for each session and stick to it. Never chase losses or bet more than you can afford. Make use of tools like deposit limits, loss limits, and cooling-off periods offered by many UKGC-licensed platforms. Keeping track of your wagering helps you stay in control and avoid impulsive gambling decisions that will only lead to poor choices and imminent losses. 5. Choose secure, licensed platforms Only play on roulette sites that are fully licensed by the UKGC, ensuring they meet industry standards for security measures, fair play, and data protection practices. Look for platforms with clear terms and conditions, provenly fair games, and transparent payment options, such as those we've reviewed on this page. Best roulette strategies explained While roulette is ultimately a game of chance, many players use betting systems to manage their play and try to maximise their odds. Bets are generally split into negative and positive progression systems, depending on whether you increase your bets on losses (negative) or wins (positive). Below are some of the most popular and widely discussed strategies used by beginners and experienced roulette fans alike. Martingale Strategy The Martingale is a classic negative progression system. After each losing bet, you double your stake, aiming to recover all previous losses with a single win. It's simple but risky, especially during long losing streaks, where you can quickly hit table limits or exhaust your balance. Reverse Martingale (Anti-Martingale) As the name suggests, this approach flips the Martingale on its head. Instead of increasing your stake after a loss, you double up after a win. The idea is to capitalise on winning streaks while limiting exposure during cold runs. However, it's once again a risky ploy, and besides sheer luck, its success depends on knowing when to stop. Fibonacci Strategy Based on the famous mathematical sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8…), this strategy is another negative progression system. After a loss, you increase your next bet following the sequence; after a win, you step back two numbers. It's considered more conservative than Martingale, but still carries the risk of compounding bets, which can drain your cash reserves quickly. Paroli System Paroli is a positive progression system designed to build profit in short streaks. You double your bet after every win, typically for three rounds, then reset to your initial stake. Many use it on even-money bets (like red/black), and it's generally far safer than negative systems because you're always playing with previous profits rather than chasing losses. James Bond Strategy Named after the famous spy, this flat betting system covers a wide spread of numbers with each spin. A common setup might include £140 on high numbers (19–36), £50 on 13–18, and £10 on 0. It gives the illusion of high coverage but still carries risk due to the unbalanced nature of the bets. While all of these strategies can be fun to try, always remember that none of them guarantee success. Always consider the house edge, your budget, and how each method fits your playing style before using them in real game situations. Other casino games you can play at casinos In addition to roulette, online casinos offer a massive range of games to suit all types of players. Classic table games like blackjack, baccarat, and poker remain favourites for those who enjoy a mix of skill and chance. There's also an endless variety of slots, including titles with bonus features, multipliers, and progressive jackpots that can lead to huge payouts. For something different, many casino sites include bingo, Slingo (a fun blend of slots and bingo), and even virtual scratch cards. You'll also find numerous non-roulette live dealer experiences and modern game show-style games like Monopoly Live and Crazy Time, so you're really spoiled for choice at most top UK casinos these days. Q&A about online roulette sites If you're new to online roulette, it's natural to have questions, especially with how many casino sites, game variations, and roulette strategies there are out there. Below, we've answered some of the most common ones. 1. What online casino sites have multiplier roulette? Multiplier roulette games like Lightning Roulette and Quantum Roulette can be found at most top-rated UK casino platforms, including those on our list, such as 888 Casino and bet365 and many others. If a site is powered by Evolution Gaming or Playtech, you're sure to find multiplier roulette games around. 2. Can you play roulette for real money online? Of course. Once you've created an account and made a deposit, you can play a wide range of roulette games for real money. Just make sure the site is licensed and offers secure payment options for safe cash withdrawals. 3. What is the most successful roulette strategy? No system guarantees consistent wins, but some players prefer the Martingale or Fibonacci for managing their bankroll, while others use positive or flat betting strategies such as the Paroli System or the James Bond strategy for a lower-risk game. The key to long-term success in a random game like roulette is understanding the odds and putting in place and respecting betting limits, rather than ending up chasing losses when the inevitable cold streaks hit. 4. Is it safe to play online roulette at UK casino sites? Yes, as long as the site is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). The best online roulette sites, such as those we review, use certified RNG software, encryption for data protection, and offer several responsible gaming tools like deposit limits and the ability to request cool-off periods to their players. 5. How to win at roulette online? There's no guaranteed way to beat the roulette wheel, but you can improve your chances by choosing European or French Roulette (which have a lower house edge compared to American Roulette), setting win/loss limits, and avoiding risky all-in bets. Focus on long-term enjoyment, not just quick wins, and come to terms with the fact that roulette is a game of chance, and no amount of strategy will guarantee wins. CHLOE KELLY can earn an estimated £8,000 per sponsored social media post, a recent report claims. But the England hero isn't thought to be the top-earning member of the Lionesses on social media. 8 8 Kelly, 27, was England's hero as they won Euro 2022, famously scoring the winning goal in the final against Germany. The Arsenal ace was also the star of the show in last night's semi-final victory over Italy in Geneva, rising from the bench to grab the clincher with just a minute remaining in extra time. Amid the Lionesses' success, boffins over at Best New Bingo Sites have crunched the numbers to determine how much stars of the team can earn on social media. At the time of their study, Kelly had 978,000 Instagram followers and a further 320.7K on TikTok. Having crunched the numbers, the study found that the forward could earn £7,708.60 per sponsored Insta post and £384.92 on TikTok, making a combined £8,093.53. This is second among the Lionesses, only to Kelly's team-mate at club and international level, Leah Williamson. The England skipper has 1.1 million Instagram followers, which equates to £8,661.35 per sponsored post. While she can also add a further £278.74 per post to her 231.9K-strong TikTok following. Arsenal dominate the top three, with Alessia Russo at No3 with 912,000 Insta followers and a sponsored post value of £7,275.53, alongside £466.62 from posts to her 390.2K TikTok followers. England stars cheekily celebrate with pizza in stands after dumping out Italy Fourth is Chelsea star Lauren James, who at the time of the study had 862,000 Instagram followers and 312.1K TikTok followers. This equates to £7,015.69 per sponsored Insta post and 379.47 on TikTok, with James involved in a Pepsi campaign alongside Williamson. Next up is Manchester United star Ella Toone, who can earn £7,089.62 per post across Instagram and TikTok, with the popular ace possessing the Lionesses' biggest following on the latter at 716,000. Lucy Bronze is just behind on £6,927.34 per post across the two platforms, ahead of Beth Mead on £5,393.56 and Alex Greenwood on £5,080.71. Georgia Stanway is ninth on a combined £4,182.35, with Keira Walsh rounding off the top 10 with £3,897.61. And no doubt if England bring it home again on Sunday, those numbers will only shoot up further. 8 8
