Ohio State announces 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class
Price played for the Buckeyes from 2014 to 2017 and is also a two-time All-American. He set the record for starts and consecutive starts as a Buckeye with 55 as a four-year starter. The 2017 season was especially productive for Price. Not only did he win the Rimington Award, which is handed out annually to the best center in college football. He was also named the Big Ten Conference's Rimington-Pace offensive lineman of the year that season in addition to becoming a unanimous All-American. Price retired from the NFL after six seasons for medical reasons in May of 2024.
Joining Price in being enshrined in OSU's Hall of Fame class this fall are Bianca Alvarez (diving), Katarzyna Dabrowa(fencing), Veronica Jatsek (women's track and field), Myles Martin (wrestling), Mary Olsen (women's gymnastics), Kim Reeder (softball), Blaz Rola (men's tennis), John 'Jack' Varga (rifle) and Alex Wimmers (baseball).
The 2025 HOF class will be officially inducted during a dinner Oct. 3 in the Covelli Center and recognized at Ohio Stadium when the Buckeye football team hosts Minnesota Oct. 4. Ticket information for the dinner will be available later this summer, and when it is, we'll have more information.

Jared Allen tears pants while doing his sack celebration at Hall of Fame induction
Jared Allen ripped his pants while being inducted into the Hall of Fame over the weekend. At the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, the former star defensive end celebrated his enshrinement with a wardrobe malfunction. After receiving his gold jacket, Allen performed his signature 'calf-roping' sack dance while on stage with his family. 4 Jared Allen rips his suit pants as he does the 'calf-roping' sack celebration while being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Allen retired following the 2015 season. The Idaho State alum recorded 136 career sacks, which is officially 12th all-time in NFL history, although he was in the top 10 at the time of his retirement. The four enshrined members of the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class were Allen, Eric Allen, Antonio Gates and Sterling Sharpe.

Florida Trending for Prospect Tabbed Next Freshman Phenom
Florida Trending for Prospect Tabbed Next Freshman Phenom originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Florida Gators are in the hunt for a very intriguing college football prospect from the 2028 class. Social media blew up last weekend after a crazy one-handed catch was made at the NFL Flag Championships by receiver Brysen Wright. The original video of Wright's snag has over 7 million views and caught the eye of NFL talent like Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams, and others. On3's Adam Gorney caught up with Wright to discuss recruiting and which schools are currently in the lead. Wright revealed he has heard from the Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes. 'The only (main) schools I'm hearing from now really are Ohio State, Florida and Miami,' Gorney compared Wright to sophomore Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith. Smith burst onto the scene last season, leading the Buckeyes with 1,315 receiving yards as a true freshman. Smith was a former five-star prospect and the top receiver in the 2024 class. Wright is rated as a four-star on Rivals, and On3's Hayes Fawcett believes the recruit will be one of the prospects in the class. Wright is familiar with Florida, as the Gators had him in town for an unofficial visit in November of last year. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has tabbed Florida as the favorite and gives it a 21.9% chance to land him. Ohio State has a 13.7% chance, while Miami has a 1.2% chance. While Wright's decision may not be imminent, Florida is trending upward as a program. The Gators just secured the first winning season of head coach Billy Napier's tenure, and people are paying close attention to Florida. Greg McElroy even said that Florida could be a problem with a consistent running game. If Wright pans out as people expect, it would be a massive addition to story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 24, 2025, where it first appeared.

ESPN Unveils Top 25 For 2025 College Football Season - And Fans Aren't Happy
ESPN Unveils Top 25 For 2025 College Football Season - And Fans Aren't Happy originally appeared on The Spun. Believe it or not, we're just 20 days away from the start of the 2025 college football season. Week 0 will feature five intriguing matchups, which includes a showdown between Iowa State and Kansas State in Dublin, Ireland. The following week there'll be countless games on display, such as Texas vs. Ohio State. That might very well be a preview for this year's College Football Playoff. Even though Texas and Ohio State are loaded with talent heading into this season, ESPN's Mark Schlabach doesn't have either team ranked No. 1 as of this time. Instead, that title belongs to Penn State. "After finally turning the corner under coach James Franklin in 2024, the Nittany Lions look loaded for bear this coming season. With Allar, Allen and Singleton returning, Penn State should have one of the most balanced offenses in the FBS, especially if Allar takes the next step as a downfield passer. Adding Pena, Ross and Hudson was critical; Penn State's receivers didn't have a reception in a 27-24 loss to Notre Dame in a CFP semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl. Pena, a slot receiver, had 84 catches for 941 yards with nine scores in 2024," Schlabach wrote. Schlabach actually has Ohio State ranked No. 5 as of this August, which is pretty low for the defending champions. Here's the top 25 from ESPN: Penn State Clemson Texas Georgia Ohio State LSU Notre Dame Oregon Alabama BYU Illinois Arizona State South Carolina Iowa State SMU Texas Tech Indiana Kansas State Florida Michigan Miami Louisville Texas A&M Ole Miss Oklahoma Unsurprisingly, these rankings from ESPN sparked quite a debate on social media. "This is a wild Top 25... Penn State is NOT No. 1 Dawgs are NOT No. 4 Indiana and Sooners should be NOWHERE near Top 25 Miami, Fla. should be in Top 10," one fan said. "Not even Penn State fans believe Penn State is No. 1," another fan wrote. "I think this may come back to haunt Penn State," a third fan commented. Penn State has an early test against Oregon on Sept. 27. That could tell us all we need to know about James Franklin's squad. Do you think Penn State deserves to be ranked No. 1 heading into this season?ESPN Unveils Top 25 For 2025 College Football Season - And Fans Aren't Happy first appeared on The Spun on Aug 3, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Aug 3, 2025, where it first appeared.
