Call of Duty Black Ops 7 leaks suggest a new team-based game mode might be coming
(Image via Activision)
A fresh leak has just dropped, and it's got the entire Call of Duty fandom buzzing. Black Ops 7, the next entry in the franchise, might be packing a wild new multiplayer experience, and we're talking big battles, chaotic objectives, and some wingsuit action.
The mode is reportedly called
Skirmish
, and if the leaks are legit, it could seriously shake up the BO7 meta.
A New 20v20 Game Mode Called Skirmish is Coming to the Game
According to the leaked loading screens,
Skirmish
is a 20v20 team-based mode set on a massive map. Unlike your typical kill-or-be-killed multiplayer vibes, this one's all about objectives. Think:
Destroying payloads
Capturing points of interest
Transmitting high-value data
Each team has to work together to complete missions and reach the score limit before the other side does. Oh—and did we mention wingsuits are involved? Yep.
It's giving Warzone mobility with old-school multiplayer chaos. Skirmish looks like it's built for flanking, fast drops, and full-send strategies.
Where Did This Leak Even Come From?
The source? None other than Activision itself—sort of. On June 26, the Call of Duty HQ app for Xbox apparently glitched out and showed off a few internal playtest assets. Cue screenshots flying all over socials, and suddenly, the internet's deep-diving into what Black Ops 7 is cooking.
No official takedowns yet. No comments from Activision either. Suspicious silence? Definitely. But that's what's making the community believe the leak holds water.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | Official Teaser
When's It Dropping?
No official release date has been announced for
Black Ops 7
yet, but if history's any clue, we're looking at an October 2025 window. Activision dropped the first teaser during the Xbox Games Showcase, and more reveals are expected before August hits.
As for
Skirmish
, it showed up in what's described as an upcoming Closed Internal Playtest. That means it's still being worked on behind closed doors. Whether it ships as-is, evolves into something else, or gets scrapped entirely, we don't know for sure.
Leaked or not,
Skirmish
is turning heads. If Activision plays its cards right,
Black Ops 7
might just reinvent the multiplayer meta. 40-player chaos, wingsuit drops, objective layers—it's giving
Modern Warfare
vibes with a
Black Ops
twist. Let's just hope this one makes it past playtesting and into our hands. Because honestly? This is the kind of innovation CoD fans have been waiting for.

Everything We Know About Elysium in Genshin Impact
Image via: HoYoverse Genshin Impact has made its fame on secrets, clues, and speculation and HoYoverse is aware. The new fuel to the fire of the community's long-standing and hopeful theory came from a most unexpected place, Yae Miko's birthday on June 27th, 2025. On the surface, this post seemed pretty normal, that was until one word, Elysium triggered every lore masters' sense. Considering Yae Miko's previous role in foreshadowing big story arcs, this wasn't merely poetic flourish. Is this the first actual hint leading to the mysterious territory of Nod-Krai? A Word Heavy with Significance 'Elysium' isn't an arbitrary selection. In myth, it is sometimes called a paradise—a final home for heroes. In HoYoverse's narrative cosmos, the word means something much more. Titles such as Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail have employed 'Elysium' to connote utopias woven with trickery or calamity. So when Genshin Impact adopts this term, it's probably not just for show. Or perhaps it's a sly allusion to the mood and mysteries of what's ahead, on deck next. Yae Miko's History of Hints Yae Miko's inscrutable casual birthday messages have turned out to be anything but trivial. Prior to Sumeru's release, she teasers about her involvement with a manuscript detailing a time loop—what would later become the region's primary narrative mechanism, the samsara. With her finally acknowledging Elysium, fans are lamenting the flourish not as an ending, but as a breadcrumb along HoYoverse's long narrative path. Nod-Krai and the Pattern of Deception If Elysium is an indication, players can expect to visit Nod-Krai to experience much more than just a beautiful new setting. Instead, we could be walking into a surreal utopia veiling a more sinister reality as an artificial Eden, or one constructed on erased martyrdom. In English, 'Elysium' suggests reward and seclusion, paradise and separation. HoYoverse has never had much patience for objectivity, the divine perfected at the human expense. By calling forth 'Elysium,' they're probably getting us ready for another land of hu-mongous contradictions where the utopia is an illusion and paradise costs a fortune. 5 NEW FEATURES IN GENSHIN IMPACT 5.7 UPDATE (CONDENSED LIVESTREAM) One word in Yae Miko's text might not validate all we've ever hoped for, but it sure does go a long way. To HoYoverse's credit, they're laying the foundation for Nod-Krai, and players should be attuned to these story murmurs. Elysium might be the most mainstream culture's first echo of a region built on dreams and cursed by the reality lying below them. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. PEAK future roadmap explored
Image via Landfall. There is no doubt that PEAK by Aggro Crab and Landfall has to be one of the most talked about video games right now. This title is so simple, but still is jam-packed with great gameplay. PEAK is actually a mountain climbing simulator, which can be played solo or in a squad. A unique feature of this game is that each in-game day features a brand new map across four unique biomes. Players are stranded on a mysterious island, where they need to find their way out scaling mountains by scavenging food and equipping climbing gears. All over, fans have liked this game very much, and that is why we might see new updates of this game very soon. PEAK developers confirmed future updates and localization PEAK will get future major updates. | Image via Landfalll. In a post on Steam, both the developing companies of Peak, Aggro Crab and Landfall thanked the fans for this unwavering support from the fans. In this post, the developers also confirmed that there will be future updates for this game, although they are in the 'very early stages.' As of now Peak has received a number of updates, but all of them were stability and bug fixing patches, so no substantial upgrades or new contents have been implemented so far. However, the game isn't free from all the bugs yet as it is still facing disconnection glitches, optimization issues, crashes, etc. So more small patches are expected to be on the way. In the FAQ section from Landfall's official website, the developers stated that they didn't have any plans for future PEAK updates at that point as both Aggro Crab and Landfall have other projects ahead of them. However, the promising words from the developers via the Steam post seal that there will certainly be major updates in the future, like major content addition or quality of life upgrades. The developer team also confirmed that localization would be coming soon as well, that means the game will support more regional languages, specific UI adjustments and many more. These decisions at least make it sure that the road of PEAK is not ending here, and the developers are definitely having a thought about its future. Actually the developers themselves never thought that a small game like PEAK which costs just $8 would burst into the scene so wildly. The game sold more than two million copies world-wide in just nine days of its release. So, developers have realized that the fans are definitely in for the next stage of PEAK.
