Prabhas Confirms More Projects With Hombale Films: 'We Are Planning For...'
Prabhas will be next seen in The Raja Saab. He also has director Hanu Raghavapudi's Fauji, in his kitty Prabhas is one of the most bankable actors in the industry. He has many films, including Spirit, Salaar 2, and Fauji in his kitty. However, recently Prabhas opened up about his association with the production house Hombale Films. He described the bond as deeply personal and also hinted at many other films. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Telugu superstar Prabhas confirmed about more films with Hombale Films. Describing the relationship as 'like a family," Prabhas confirmed, 'We are planning for more films together," hinting at new ventures beyond their current agreements. Prabhas will be next seen in The Raja Saab. The romantic horror comedy directed by Maruthi is releasing on December 5, 2025. This film is being positioned as a lighter outing, showcasing the actor in a fun and entertaining avatar that contrasts with his recent intense roles. He also has an upcoming project with director Hanu Raghavapudi, tentatively titled Fauji, which is believed to revolve around themes of patriotism and drama, though details remain tightly guarded. Beside this, actor Prabhas is gearing up for what is touted to be one of the most ambitious collaborations of his career with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga in their upcoming film Spirit. Ever since the announcement, the project has generated a buzz across fan circles, with many speculating about its scale, emotional depth, and the actor's transformation for the role. Now, the wait for a major update is over. At a recent event in the United States, Sandeep's brother, Pranay Reddy Vanga, confirmed that the film will officially go on floors in September 2025. Spirit marks the first collaboration between the Baahubali star and the Kabir Singh director, and expectations are already sky-high. According to earlier reports, Sandeep had specifically requested Prabhas to allot bulk dates for the film, as the role will require a complete physical and stylistic overhaul. This level of transformation would make it difficult for the actor to shoot for other films concurrently, prompting Prabhas to wrap up his existing commitments before fully immersing himself into the world of Spirit. Sources close to the project indicate that the makers plan to shoot the film in a single, focused schedule to preserve narrative continuity and character integrity. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Madhvi Was Once Called A 'Chain Smoker': 'I Was Just...'
Last Updated: Sonalika Joshi reveals what happened when one of her photoshoot led to unintended assumptions. Actress Sonalika Joshi needs no introduction. She has been playing the role of Madhvi Bhide in the popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for 17 years now. While the show has made her a household name, not many people know that she was once bashed brutally for one of her photoshoots. In a recent interview with Subhojit Ghosh, Sonalika recalled how a photoshoot of hers led to unintended assumptions. She mentioned that she was holding a cigarette as she posed for the cameras but people were quick to assume that she was a 'chain smoker". 'I was just holding it and sitting like that. I wasn't even smoking. It was just for the style, for the pose," Sonalika said and then added, 'Then suddenly, so many things came out on YouTube—'I'm a chain smoker' and what not." However, the actress mentioned that she decided to maintain her calm back then because she did not want to address the unnecessary rumours. 'I said, let them talk. My family is my most important, my greatest asset. If they know how I am, then what difference does it make what they print?" Sonalika, however, expressed disappointment with people for not being able to differentiate between a fictional character and reality. 'It was a proper photoshoot. The look was totally different. I wasn't casually smoking with a group or playing Sonalika doing that. If they don't understand that, let them talk," she said. 'Maybe they're enjoying it. Maybe their YouTube is getting views. Either they get some sadistic pleasure, or they just want to be judgmental. Let them," she added. Meanwhile, talking about TMKOC, the show has been running successfully for 17 years now. Previously, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, the show's maker, Asit Kumarr Modi, talked about creating a TMKOC universe when he told us, 'People love TMKOC. It's been 15 years and people are still watching it. One can watch the show not only on television but on OTT, YouTube, and other platforms too. That's why I felt that I should do something with the characters of the show. Today Jethalal, Babita, Dayaben, Sodhi and other characters of the show have become household names. They are like everyone's family members." view comments First Published: July 18, 2025, 08:44 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
