Marcus Rashford spotted 'double wristing' with half a million pound watches

Daily Mirror02-06-2025
As Marcus Rashford ponders his future, the Manchester United star enjoyed some downtime and wore two watches with an eye-watering value while sitting on a jetski in Saint-Tropez
Football star Marcus Rashford showed off his style by 'double wristing' as he sported a mega-money watch on each arm.
The trendy Manchester United star turned heads in a striking Louis Vuitton outfit in Saint-Tropez, but it wasn't just his clothes that caught the eye. As he soaked up the sun on the French Riviera, people were quick to notice he was sporting two timepieces said to be worth a combined £500,000.

He looked smart with the flashy gold Rolex, with another from Patek Philippe - one of the oldest watch manufacturers in the world - sitting on his other wrist. Rashford, who spent the final five months of the Premier League season on loan at Aston Villa, has been enjoying a luxurious getaway with a group of friends and a mysterious blonde beauty.

The England forward was seen holding what appeared to be a Snus tobacco pouch, a popular smokeless product among fellow footballers. His look was completed with Nike Ben & Jerry's x Dunk Low SB trainers but it wasn't long before they all came off as he cooled off.
Taking a dip in the sea, the Old Trafford goal-getter zipped across the waves on a jet ski as he made the most of his downtime before the next big season. Let's hope his watches were super secure as he tested it out while fully clothed!

Rashford has plenty to ponder on the get-away with his future up in the air. Could he be set for more sun in Spain? Barcelona continue to be linked with the star, who appears to be on his way out of United after another challenging season for player and for club.
With the Premier League season now over, clubs have already begun plotting their moves for the summer transfer window. While there are always many different plots unfolding at the same time, few will have as much focus as the situation around Rashford - but where will he end up?

The forward spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Villa after being banished to the Manchester United wilderness by Ruben Amorim. Overall, the United academy graduate made a good impression at Villa Park, contributing four goals and six assists across all competitions, which earned him a recall to the England squad.
The forward's next chapter is currently unknown, but with Amorim showing no signs that he has changed his stance, it is expected the Old Trafford exit door will be propped open for Rashford. And after defeat to the Red Devils on the final weekend, the Villans failed to qualify for the Champions League.

That would appear to kill any hope of Rashford being persuaded to sign permanently at Villa Park. Marking the end of his first spell away from United, Rashford nevertheless expressed his gratitude to the club. He said on social media: "Just a message of thanks to everyone here at Villa for what has (injury aside) been an incredible few months for me.
"It is a really special club and I appreciated the way Villa fans embraced me with open arms from 1st minute on the pitch. Manager, team, and coaching staff have all been brilliant. I know it is a huge disappointment not to have made the Champions League place which everyone worked so hard all season for but I know this club and team will come back stronger."

Russell Martin's Rangers criticism came from ‘love and care'

The Gers boss hit out following the William Hill Premiership opener at Fir Park, questioning mentality, speaking about 'egos' and accusing some of 'self-preservation'. Martin was speaking again at the club's training ground ahead of the first leg of the Champions League third qualifier against Czech side Viktoria Plzen at Ibrox on Tuesday night, where a play-off tie against Austrian outfit Salzburg or Club Brugge of Belgium awaits the winners. 'I think if they know us by now as a group of coaches that it all comes from a place of love and care for them,' said the Gers boss, who replied 'hopefully he will be in it, we will wait and see', when asked if new signing Oliver Antman, the Finland winger who joined from Go Ahead Eagles on Monday, will be included in the squad. 'We are here, myself, Gilly (Matt Gill, assistant), the coaches, ultimately for the players. 🎙️ Russell Martin spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday's match against Viktoria Plzeň. — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) August 4, 2025 'We're here to win football matches, but as coaches day to day, we are here to help the players. 'That's our job, to help them win, to help them develop, to help them improve and understand why, to help them enjoy playing for a club like this, because I don't think too many of them have enjoyed it enough to play for this amazing football club, because it's not always easy. 'I don't come out and say that because I want to be ruthless and all that stuff. 'If they know me as a person, the people who do know me, they know it comes from a place of love and to help them and to want them to be better. 'So I think when it comes from that place, whatever is said and if they understand that, then we'll always have a really honest and good conversation about it. 'I hope they understand who we are by now and what we're here to do, and I really believe they're really trying. 'So they're good people, but the default to try and protect yourself when it gets tough, we need to just shed that a little bit.' ✍️ We are today delighted to announce the signing of Finnish international Oliver Antman on a four-year-deal. — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) August 4, 2025 Martin confirmed that Thelo Aasgaard and Hamza Igamane will again miss out through fitness issues while it is not clear if Mikey Moore, the 17-year-old attacker who has signed on loan from Tottenham, will receive international clearance in time to be part of the squad. On the task facing his side, Martin said: 'The game is going to be tough. 'They are really powerful, really strong, play forward quickly, run forward quickly. 'It's a really different test to the Panathinaikos one and it is a really interesting and exciting one for us. 'They have strength in certain areas, but we have to try and turn the game, especially at Ibrox, into the game that we want, move the ball quickly, better than we did the other day. 'We have to really be up for the fight against these guys but I am looking forward to it.'

Arsenal to make significant loss as they begin talks to sell £35m flop

Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sell off an unwanted player, with Mikel Arteta prepared to take a major loss on the £35million flop. After three consecutive runner-up finishes in the Premier League, Arsenal are going all out this summer transfer window in an attempt to end their two-decade long wait for a league title. So far the Gunners have spent just shy of £200m on six new players, including Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke. More could arrive at the Emirates before deadline day, with the likes of Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet linked. But in order to pursue these deals, Arsenal need to cash-in on several unwanted stars who have failed to make the grade under Arteta. This includes Fabio Vieira, who was tipped for big things when he signed from Porto three years ago but has since made just five Premier League starts. Injuries, the form of Martin Odegaard and the emergence of Ethan Nwaneri, saw the attacking midfielder slip down the pecking order, and he was sent back to Porto on loan last season. But despite making 42 appearances across all competitions, the Portuguese giants have opted not to re-sign the 25-year-old. The midfielder did not go on Arsenal's pre-season tour of Asia due to his participation at the Club World Cup with Porto earlier this summer, but it has long been know that his future is not in north London. However, Vieira has now been offered an escape route, with The Athletic reporting that Stuttgart have approached Arsenal and are working on a deal for the player. Appearances: 49 Goals: 3 Assists: 10 Trophies: Community Shield (2023) Vieira has two years left on his contract and it has been previously reported that Arsenal would be willing to accept an offer of around £17m – half what they signed the Portuguese for. More Trending Stuttgart finished ninth in the Bundesliga last season but can offer Europa League football after winning the German Cup. Now back from their Asia tour, Arsenal have two more pre-season friendlies, where Vieira's involvement or lack thereof could confirm the transfer speculation. The Gunners take on Villarreal on Wednesday and Athletic Bilbao on Sunday – both at the Emirates – before kicking-off the new Premier League campaign away to Manchester United on August 17. Head coach Regis Le Bris signs new long-term deal with Sunderland

Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris has signed a new long-term contract until summer 2028. The 49-year-old Frenchman was appointed as Black Cats boss in June 2024 following his departure from Lorient. Le Bris led Sunderland to promotion in his first campaign at the helm, a 2-1 win over Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final in May marking the club's return to the Premier League after an eight-year absence. Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce that Régis Le Bris has signed a new long-term contract at the Club! ❤️ — Sunderland AFC (@SunderlandAFC) August 4, 2025 'The connection I have with the staff, players, and supporters has been natural, and we shared many great moments together,' said Le Bris, whose side open their 2025-26 campaign at home to West Ham on August 16. 'The collective ambition is there to see and now, there is a desire to become stronger. I can feel the energy and intent to push forward, and we need that in the next challenges we will face. 'In every part of the organisation, everyone has their own part to play, and we are all aligned.' Sunderland finished fourth in the Championship last term before earning a dramatic play-off semi-final victory over Coventry to seal their spot at Wembley, where Tommy Watson's winner sent the Black Cats back into the top flight. The club have since been busy over the summer transfer window with eight new signings arriving on Wearside, including former Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka. Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said: 'Like every Sunderland supporter, I'm delighted we are announcing this contract extension for Regis. 'It provides clarity going into the Premier League season, but more importantly it recognises his contribution and continued commitment to the club. 'Regis has an unrelenting desire for progression that matches our own and we look forward to continuing our partnership throughout the upcoming season, as we move forward with aligned objectives that reflect our shared ambition.'
