IShowSpeed reacts: 'You own the Lakers?.. Goddamn,' after being offered a Lakers ring by Jeanie Buss's nephew Riley Drexel
Popular streamer IShowSpeed had a genuine moment during his recent European travels. In what seemed to be a chilling spot, the high-energy content creator met one of the members of the iconic Buss family.
His reaction was unexpected and confused, especially as he received a prestigious gift offer, a Lakers championship ring. He just couldn't hide his shock as he reacted with disbelief on meeting Jeanie Buss's nephew, Riley Drexel.

Lakers
Ring offer
An unexpected meeting occurred as IShowSpeed continued his European tour. He was introduced to Riley Drexel. Drexel is the grandson of late Lakers owner Jerry Buss and is nephew of current team Governor, Jeanie Buss.
Jeanie holds a unique place within the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. Riley too has been a part of many team events, connecting his family's legacy with the franchise.
As per reports, this interaction happened in Saint-Tropez. In the viral video, one can see how the interaction started with IShowSpeed meeting a stranger (a potential friend of Riley), who tried to tell him that the ring was a Lakers championship ring. While IShowSpeed still remained confused and asked,
'Is that real?',
he was offered to hold the ring in his hand, with the man claiming,
'It's from the owners.'
The stranger then pointed him towards Riley, saying he owned the Lakers.
IShowSpeed's stunned reaction, which was captured on the video circulating around on social media, was immediate and unfiltered—
'You own the Lakers?.. Goddamn.'
It perfectly encapsulated his disbelief at receiving the Lakers' championship ring from one of the basketball royalty.
Riley, in the video, was seen clearly stating that they sold the Lakers for $10 billion.
He then laughingly made a remarkable gesture towards IShowSpeed, offering him to keep an official Los Angeles Lakers ring. He then introduced himself as Riley Buss and shook hands with IShowSpeed. The offer's sheer magnitude, coming directly from one of the Buss family heirs, completely floored the usually energetic and over-the-top reactions of the offering streamer.
Aside from having his wild Lakers legacy encounter, IShowSpeed has been making waves all across Europe.
He's been visiting multiple countries with his high-energy antics, keeping fans entertained. With it all, he proves why he is one of the most viral personalities today.
The Los Angeles Lakers had a recent historic shift
IShowSpeed's personal encounter with one of the Buss family's legacies comes amidst a monumental change happening within the organization. As per reports, a seismic agreement has already been reached about the team's future ownership. Sources confirm that the Buss family will be selling the majority ownership of the franchise to Mark Walter, a businessman.
The deal values the team at $10 billion, setting a new record for a professional sports team in the United States. Walter, who's already been a minority stakeholder since 2021, now leads a diversified holding company, carrying significant interests within sports globally.
While the Buss family has retained a minority stake for a period, the controlling interests are now shifting. Crucially, Jeanie Buss will continue to be the Los Angeles Lakers' Governor. She will continue overseeing team operations for a foreseeable future. The deal guarantees stability while continuing to honor the decades-long impact of the Buss family on the team.

Justin Timberlake trolled for asking the audiences to sing his songs: ‘Embarrassing and disrespectful'
American singer Justin Timberlake is under fire after a video from his recent performance in Romania began circulating online, with fans calling him out for barely singing during one of his biggest hits. Justin Timberlake was trolled after his gig in Romania The 44-year-old, currently on the European leg of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, performed at the Electric Castle festival in Transylvania last week. But it's his rendition of Can't Stop the Feeling! that has sparked widespread backlash on social media. In the viral clip, Justin is seen singing the opening lines of the upbeat track as rain begins to fall. He pulls the hood of his jacket over his head and then turns the mic toward the audience, encouraging them to take over. 'Say what?' he says, prompting the crowd to sing along. Throughout the performance, the Mirrors hitmaker continues to gesture toward the crowd with his hands and walks across the stage, appearing to let them carry most of the song. He chimes in with a few lines here and there, performing minimal dance moves while the chorus builds in the background. Just before the chorus hits, he approaches his band and once again turns to the audience, saying, 'Sing, c'mon.' The footage quickly gained traction, with users expressing disappointment at what they saw as a lack of energy and effort from the pop star, especially during his first-ever performance in Romania. Fans were particularly surprised by the fact that the moment came during one of his most iconic tracks, which is typically known for its infectious energy and crowd-pleasing vibe. While Timberlake has not addressed the criticism, the performance continues to spark debate online over live performance standards and the role of audience participation at concerts. As clips from his recent shows continue to surface, fans are closely watching the rest of his European tour stops to see how the artist responds—if at all.

From hospital bed to hero: Bonmatís goal sends Spain to first Euros final
Zurich, Jul 24 (AP) Aitana Bonmatí began the Women's European Championship recovering from a hospital stay. On Wednesday, she steered Spain to another major final against England. The two-time Ballon d'Or winner scored the extra-time clincher in a 1-0 semifinal victory over Germany and set up a rematch of the World Cup final in 2023, when Spain beat England 2-1. Bonmatí's preparations for Euro 2025 were seriously disrupted when the Barcelona midfielder was hospitalized with viral meningitis less than a week before the tournament. 'I wanted to get to this game at my best level and that's thanks to all the people next to me, who helped me to reach this game at my top level because on my own it wouldn't have been possible," Bonmatí said. Bonmatí's goal created history for Spain. It was the first win in nine attempts against Germany and secured a place in the European final for the first time. 'I don't believe in destiny. I believe in hard work, my mentality, and all the support I have received," the 27-year-old Bonmatí said. The match was seven minutes from a nerve-wracking penalty shootout when Bonmatí gathered a pass and got past Rebecca Knaak with a clever dummy and turn before squeezing home an audacious attempt from the tightest of angles. The goal also ended a rare drought for Bonmatí, who hadn't scored in her previous six appearances. 'It wasn't easy for her at the beginning of the tournament but she has a special personality to be at the maximum level," Spain coach Montse Tomé said. 'She has a huge capacity to create spaces, where she can generate opportunities like today. 'And she managed to overcome the health issues she had at the beginning of the tournament. Good work was done with her to get her back to the level she's at now, she helps the team a lot." Spain is aiming to add the European title to its collection after winning the World Cup and Nations League in the past two years. To do that it has to get beat defending champion England in Basel on Sunday. 'Tomorrow we will think about England," Bonmatí said. 'Now it is time to celebrate."
