Meet singer, whose father used to sell samosas, started working from the age of 4, is now worth Rs 64 crore, name is…
In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, last name often holds more importance than talent. Where a royal legacy becomes an easy gateway to opportunities, some rare celebrities come with no godfather, yet shine like they were born to be a part of this dazzling showbiz world. One such tale belongs to a star whose story is all about overcoming struggles and having persistence, and proving that sometimes the brightest stars emerge out of starting with the least.
We are talking about the very talented singer Neha Kakkar.
Neha was born in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, in a lower-middle-class family. Her existence in this world started with a struggle and uncertainty. Being the third child in her family, her parents were skeptical about keeping her or aborting her because of financial constraints. In an interview, Neha herself openly spoke about her parents' poor condition that eventually made them second-guess her existence in the world, but since her mother was 8 weeks pregnant, the procedure came into the world to change her family's luck forever.
Right from childhood, Neha saw hardships. The situation was so bad that her father had to sell samosas outside her sister Sonu Kakkar's school to make ends meet. He did a double shift, at night, he would sing jagrans to get enough money.
Neha's love affair with singing also started with Jagran, she started singing there when she was barely four. . Her siblings, Sonu and Tony Kakkar, also played a big role in encouraging her dreams.
She lived with her family in a one-room apartment with no comforts or luxuries. But besides limited resources, her dreams were never limited.
Neha wanted to turn her singing passion into her full-time career, and she moved to Mumbai with a suitcase full of dreams. She participated in Indian Idol, but got eliminated early in the first season. The judges didn't find anything special in her voice at the time.
But Neha had faith in herself, and that paid off quite well. She went on to sing hits like Second Hand Jawaani, London Thumakda, Dilbar, and Aankh Maarey, becoming one of India's most played voices. Her life took a full circle, she returned to Indian Idol — this time not as a contestant, but as a judge.
Though she once lived in a cramped home, Neha now enjoys a luxurious life. As per the reports net worth is around ₹65 crore. She owns various assets, including an Audi Q7,a Mercedes-Benz GLS 350, a BMW, and a beautiful bungalow.
While she had a brief falling out with her siblings, especially Sonu, the family has now reconciled. From singing in temples to ruling the stage, Neha Kakkar's journey shows that with enough passion and hard work, one can get what they want.

Superman ending explained: What it means for new DCU movies and Peacemaker season 2

Superman, starring David Corenswet, marks the first film of the rebooted DC Universe. The much-awaited film, directed by James Gunn, in its final moments, throws open the gates to the bigger stories in the franchise, while also connecting to Peacemaker Season 2. The film kicks off by establishing that humanity has known about metahumans (superheroes) for over 300 years. Then, Gunn tears the city of Metropolis in two. While the story mostly stands on its own, it quietly lays down the groundwork for something big upcoming. The new movie, which hit theatres on July 11, stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, aka the Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Without rehashing the whole origin story, the film picks up after Superman has already landed on Earth, been raised on a Kansas farm, and is now working as a reporter at the Daily Planet. He's dating fellow journalist Lois and finds himself in deep trouble with LexCorp's billionaire CEO, Lex Luthor, who's hell-bent on taking him down for good. Here's how it all ends. But in this story, Lex isn't any normal villain, he's cracked the code to create a 'pocket universe,' a dimension outside reality. Travelling through portals and trapping anyone he holds a grudge against is second nature to him. It's where he hides all his illegal experiments, like a swarm of super-intelligent monkeys flooding the internet with hate against Superman. Later, Lex unseals this pocket universe right over Metropolis, shaking the entire city and pushing it to the edge of collapse, right after Superman's government-sanctioned imprisonment. It's a last-ditch move to distract him while war breaks out between two fictional nations, Boravia and Jarhanpur. The Engineer (played by María Gabriela de Faría). He also learns about Ultraman, Lex's clone of Superman, which leaves him anxious. 'How do I fight myself? Am I really capable of that kind of darkness?' he mutters. In the final act, Superman confronts Lex in his flying office and delivers an impassioned speech. Meanwhile, Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi) helps reverse the rift and seals the city back together. On the ground, Lois, Jimmy Olsen, and the Daily Planet crew expose Lex's crimes, leading to his arrest. And yes, the Justice Gang makes it out alive. In the story, the 'pocket universe' tech is directly connected to something from Peacemaker Season 1. A device called the Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC), which exists outside reality and was designed by Peacemaker's father. John Cena's Peacemaker even makes a quick appearance in Superman, and James Gunn confirmed that Peacemaker Season 2 is headed towards the same universe-changing tech. In fact, two characters introduced in Superman: Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), will appear in Season 2. 'And then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the [Peacemaker] season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman,' Gunn told EW. 'There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show.' Towards the end of Superman, Supergirl (played by Milly Alcock) shows up inside the Fortress of Solitude. She's introduced as Superman's cousin, and her solo film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, will follow this movie and Peacemaker Season 2. Other DCU Teases Belle Reve Prison: After Lex is defeated and arrested, he's taken straight to Belle Reve, the same high-security prison featured in Suicide Squad. Amanda Waller runs the place. She's getting her own show. Justice Gang = Justice League? The movie teases the next big team-up by introducing the Justice Gang, featuring names like Mister Terrific and Metamorpho. A new Justice League might just be on cards Angela Spica/The Engineer: She's part of The Authority (another DCU film in the pipeline). She survives the final battle, and word is, Gunn's got long-term plans for her.

Jurassic World: Rebirth Inches Towards Rs 60 Crore, Beats F1 On Day 8 In India

Jurassic World: Rebirth follows a team made up of mercenaries and scientists, sent to a remote island full of dinosaurs. Looks like Hollywood movies are having a winning streak at the Indian box office. From action-packed adventures to high-speed thrillers, films are drawing big crowds and big numbers. Among them, Jurassic World: Rebirth, led by Scarlett Johansson, has made a roaring entry. So far, it has collected Rs 58 crore in India. According to Sacnilk, Jurassic World: Rebirth added Rs 3 crore on its eighth day. Its opening weekend was with Rs 9.25 crore earned on Friday, Rs 13.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 16.25 crore on Sunday. The impressive run of the film has placed it ahead of another high-profile Hollywood release, F1, which stars Brad Pitt. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, F1 was released in India on June 27. On its eighth day, the film collected Rs 3.5 crore and its total collection at the time stood at Rs 39 crore. The film has continued to maintain its pace and, as per Sacnilk, now stands at around Rs 63.1 crore after fifteen days in Indian theatres. In F1, Brad Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver from New York who once enjoyed fame and success on the track. But his career was cut short after a serious crash forced him to retire. Over the years, Sonny stepped away from the sport, trying to rebuild his life while dealing with the trauma and changes that came after the accident. His life takes a turn when Ruben Cervantes, played by Javier Bardem, reappears. Ruben is not just a friend but also a former teammate. He convinces Sonny to return to the Formula One world not as a driver but as a mentor. Sonny is brought on board to coach a promising new racer, Joshua Pierce, played by Damson Idris. Apart from the above-mentioned actors, the film stars Tobias Menzies and Kerry Condon in key roles. Meanwhile, Jurassic World: Rebirth follows a team made up of mercenaries and scientists who are sent to a remote island full of dinosaurs. Their mission is to retrieve prehistoric DNA for a medical project, but they also have to rescue a family stranded on the island. Things do not go as planned, and the group finds itself in a struggle to survive. Along the way, they must face three of the most powerful dinosaur species: Mosasaurus, Titanosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus. Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World Rebirth features a star-studded cast including Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Ed Skrein alongside Scarlett Johansson. As these two big titles continue to perform, a new challenger has entered the scene. Superman, starring David Corenswet, was released this week and has already made an impact. On its opening day in India, the film collected around Rs 7 crore net, according to Sacnilk. Directed by James Gunn, the film tells the story of Clark Kent, who struggles to find a balance between his Kryptonian origins and his life in Smallville with his human family. Alongside David Corenswet, the film stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. It also features Superman's loyal dog, Krypto. Lauren Sanchez's Paris OOTD Includes A Coffee Cup Worth Nearly Rs 5 Lakh

Last Updated: For her appearance at Balenciaga's show, Lauren Sanchez donned an all-black ensemble. However, it was her takeaway coffee mug shaped bag that stole the limelight. Lauren Sanchez Bezos, wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, turned heads at Demna's final Balenciaga show with a standout accessory that sparked plenty of buzz. In hand, she carried Balenciaga's quirky and ultra-luxurious 9 AM Clutch: a designer piece cleverly crafted to mimic a classic takeaway coffee cup. Though it debuted on the runway during the brand's Fall 2024 showcase in Los Angeles, this 'cup" is anything but disposable. Retailing for $5,750 (approximately Rs 4,93,672), it's made from smooth calfskin leather, topped with a gleaming brass lid and a functional clasp, all adding to its illusion and irony. Lauren, who previously carried the same bag in April during her wedding prep, brought it back for the Paris show, this time in a custom version with her name emblazoned on the side. Her ensemble was equally sleek: a tailored black coat dress paired with Balenciaga's signature Knife Pumps. Balenciaga is no stranger to pushing the envelope in the accessories department. Their Spring 2024 campaign featured high-fashion renditions of potato chip bags, a continuation of their earlier Lay's collab, with the designer snack sacks retailing at $1,890 in bold red and blue. Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos tied the knot in a grand celebration in Venice on June 27. For the occasion, she wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown inspired by Sophia Loren's iconic look from the 1958 film Houseboat. The ceremony took place at the historic San Giorgio Maggiore island, with festivities spanning pre-wedding dinners, a Gatsby-themed brunch, and even a foam party. The guest list included A-listers like Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Brady. Their wedding, though glamorous, drew criticism from locals over its impact on Venice's tourism and environment, though the couple donated millions toward lagoon conservation. view comments First Published: July 12, 2025, 09:06 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
