Somehow, the Savannah Bananas keep outdoing themselves.
The wildly entertaining team known for viral stunts — like batters fishing on stilts, catchers on beanbags, umpires showing off surprisingly impressive dance moves — upped the ante this summer and invited 2000s emo mainstays All-American Rejects to perform an in-game concert at Fenway Park.
Lead singer Tyson Ritter worked his way from the packed stands to the field to deliver abridged versions of their hits 'Move Along,' 'Dirty Little Secret' and 'Gives You Hell' while the Bananas danced and clapped in the background.
'[Banana ball] takes everything dull or overly subtle about baseball and smashes it underfoot, while dancing to a pop song,' The Post shared in a gleeful op-ed.
Other fun bits they've pulled off these past few months include a hoppy suitcase race, lip-synced walks to the plate, choreographed 'Drake and Josh' dances and an on-field appearance by the endlessly catchy Fitz and the Tantrums (seriously, check their Instagram Reels and you won't be able to leave the page for hours).
What other tricks does the rule-breaking, fun-loving club have up their sleeve later this summer?
While we can't say for sure (although we have our fingers crossed that 78-year-old pitcher/former Red Sox star/semi-regular Banana Ball player Bill 'Spaceman' Lee takes the mound again), all we know is the best way to find out is live.
New Yorkers are in luck, too.
On Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14, the Savannah Bananas are headed to the Bronx for a pair of games at Yankee Stadium against their rival, The Firefighters.

All-American Rejects tour schedule 2025
Love AAR just as much as the Bananas?
This is your moment.
The '00s hitmakers have shows at venues all over North America — they've even played a few unconventional gigs in backyards and bowling alleys along with Boston's famed ballpark — these next few months.
That includes a concert opening for the Jonas Brothers at East Rutherford, NJ's MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 10.
To find the one that makes the most sense for you, you can review All-American Rejects' complete 2025 calendar here.
About the Savannah Bananas
After forming in 2016, the 'exhibition barnstorming baseball team' made a name for themselves by embracing 'exhibition' and 'barnstorming' while halfway ditching 'baseball.'
The team now plays banana ball which has quirky rules like fan-caught foul balls counting as outs, games not being allowed to exceed two hours in length and batters stealing first base.
Yet, still, that's barely scratching the surface of the innovative game's showmanship.
Simply put, we recommend following Savannah's Instagram to see what hijinx the entertaining team is up to.
Savannah Party Animals
As you may have noticed, most games will find the Bananas squaring off against their cherished rival, the Party Animals.
Also based out of Savannah, the team is evenly matched with the Bananas.
'I think there are some guys that are obvious fits for the Bananas, and some guys that are obvious fits for the Party Animals,' coach Nate Fish told Savannah Now following team tryouts.
'We need the games to be really competitive. We can't load up one team. It's not like the (Harlem) Globetrotters and the (Washington Generals). The games aren't scripted. The games are highly competitive. Anyone can win. We have to take a look at balance to do that.'

Rory McIlroy Makes Tom Brady, Novak Djokovic Comparison at Scottish Open

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Since winning the Masters Tournament and completing the Career Grand Slam, Rory McIlroy's motivation has been a topic of conversation. It's not just about achieving the ultimate feat in professional golf, but also the length of time the Northern Irishman has been among the world's best players. Both issues seem to have been on McIlroy's mind quite a bit. During his press conference prior to the Genesis Scottish Open, the five-time major winner showed the utmost respect for sporting longevity and cited examples from stars in other sports to illustrate how big an achievement it is: "I think it's one of the underappreciated things about any sport," he said. "You look at what Djokovic is doing at Wimbledon over the last couple weeks or what some of those guys have done, or what someone like Cristiano Ronaldo is still doing at 40 years old, or Tom Brady in American football. "That longevity piece is something that maybe isn't talked about enough." Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland talks to the media during a press conference prior to the Genesis Scottish Open 2025 at The Renaissance Club on July 09, 2025 in North Berwick, Scotland. Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland talks to the media during a press conference prior to the Genesis Scottish Open 2025 at The Renaissance Club on July 09, 2025 in North Berwick, parallel is undeniable. At 38 years old and 24 Grand Slam titles later, Djokovic is still making waves at the highest level of world tennis, while Cristiano Ronaldo just won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal and signed a new contract with the Saudi club Al-Nasr at the age of 40. Tom Brady, meanwhile, went on to win the 2020 Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the age of 42, while smashing records well into his 40s. McIlroy, 36, has been winning professional tournaments since 2010 and has 44 of them by now. He has also spent 122 weeks as the World No. 1 while sharing eras with Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler, among other notable stars. Is Rory McIlroy's Motivation Surging Once More? Perhaps completing the Career Grand Slam momentarily affected Rory McIlroy's focus on his professional future. Perhaps for a moment, he couldn't define where his career's path was headed. But it's safe to say that that moment is now completely behind him. "I don't want that to be my last great moment in the game. There's plenty more that I can do," he said. "I feel like I've kept banging on this drum all of this year, I feel like I'm a better player now than I ever have been." "There's venues in the game that just mean a little bit more." Rory McIlroy on trying to win an Open in his home country, via @Sean_Zak: — Underdog Golf (@UnderdogGolf) July 9, 2025 McIlroy even hinted what the new milestones set for the future of his career might be: "There's so many opportunities that lie ahead and whether that's Portrush next week, or The Open going back to St. Andrews, or a U.S. Open at Pebble Beach." "There's all these great venues that all the greats have won on, and I'd love to add my name to those lists, as well." The Open Championship and US Open will not return to St. Andrews and Pebble Beach, respectively, until the 2027 season. So, no one should expect Rory McIlroy to hang up the clubs anytime soon. 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 Won't Be ‘Exactly Like the Books'

THE RUNDOWN The Summer I Turned Pretty returns for its third and final season on July 16, promising to finally answer our questions about Conrad's disappearance and his ongoing will-they won't-they situation with Belly. As for how the season will play out, the series might differ from what viewers are anticipating. In a recent interview with People, author Jenny Han, whose novels inspired the show, revealed that the events in season 3 'might not always happen in the way that [they]'re expecting.' Christopher Briney, who stars as Conrad, also warned fans that they shouldn't be so convinced the season will go as they believe it will. In his cover story with Entertainment Weekly, he stated, 'You have not read the scripts!' in response to Han, who stated, 'There are surprises. And there are things that aren't exactly like the books.' Given that the first two seasons received a bit of a shake-up—with the introduction of Aunt Julia and Skye in season 2, and the beach house almost getting sold—season 3 could also undergo a lot of changes. Still, Han has made sure that longtime fans of the novel will be satisfied. 'There are a couple of moments that people really love from the books that I knew that people were wanting to see,' Han said. 'I wanted to make sure that I was going to really service those fans who've been following the story for a really long time.' With just over a week to go, all will soon be revealed, but ultimately, Han's aim is for fans to go on one final, fun journey with the characters after growing with them over the seasons. Here's to one last summer.

Queen Elizabeth II's President Trump Comment Goes Viral

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Queen Elizabeth II making a joke that a helicopter passing overhead "sounds like President Trump" has gone viral on TikTok. The late monarch, who died in September 2022, gave an interview to iconic nature filmmaker David Attenborough at Buckingham Palace, in June 2017. As the pair tried to talk in a private garden, a helicopter passed overhead, seemingly irritating Elizabeth. "Why do they always go round and round when you want to talk?" she said. And in typically dry fashion she added: "Sounds like President President Obama." Why It Matters A clip of the moment has newly gone viral on TikTok, but notably cut off the joke before the reference to Obama. The post was liked 27.7K times and viewed 140,000 times having been posted with the message: "And he rlly thought he was her favorite president💀." Queen Elizabeth II and President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle on July 13, 2018. Queen Elizabeth II and President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle on July 13, To Know Trump was president at the time the comment was made but had not yet undergone his state visit to Britain, so it is unlikely Elizabeth was basing her quip on an experience of meeting him in person. The clip comes from 2018 ITV documentary The Queen's Green Planet and shows Elizabeth and Attenborough walking the private gardens at Buckingham Palace discussing climate change, among other topics. And the filmmaker states it was filmed in June: "On a balmy afternoon in June, the queen is showing me around her private gardens at Buckingham Palace." Trump's first meeting with the queen as president was on July 13, 2018, three months after the documentary was broadcast, and he returned for a formal state visit in 2019. The Queen's Green Planet was promoting a project encouraging Commonwealth nations to dedicate a forest in honor of Elizabeth. The Trump reference was not the only joke in the documentary, as Attenborough also pointed out a sun dial that was unhelpfully positioned in the shade. "Isn't it good, yes..." the queen said before turning to an aide off camera. "Had we thought of that? That it was planted in the shade? It wasn't in the shade originally, I'm sure. Maybe we could move it." ITV News reported at the time that the Buckingham Palace head gardener confirmed it was indeed moved. Attenborough also at one stage suggested there could be "all kinds of different trees growing here in another 50 years" due to climate change. Keenly aware of her own mortality, Elizabeth replied: "It might easily be, yes. I won't be here though." What People Are Saying One commenter wrote of the video, "she is our diva 🙏" while the original poster replied: "The true queen." "Rip Queen," another fan wrote. "U slayed till you passed ☹️💔."
