Complete vision plan meets by July 6: Chief Secretary
Speaking on the P4 initiative, Vijayanand said the Chief Minister will review the programme on Friday evening and again with Collectors, public representatives, and others on July 23. He mentioned that training and awareness programmes for P4 and Swarnandhra Pradesh 2047 have been completed, and emphasised the need to implement full-fledged action plans. Collectors have been instructed to take appropriate steps accordingly.
Vijayanand stressed the importance of maintaining Anna Canteens, launched to provide affordable meals to the poor, on sound lines, ensuring high-quality food standards. He directed that canteens open daily at 7 am, and that cleanliness be strictly maintained.

Penukonda: Officials appeared indifferent towards the P4 initiative, a prestigious programme launched by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, during the Constituency Vision Action Plan meeting held on Saturday at the Bhuvana Vijaya meeting hall, under the chairmanship of RDO Anand Kumar. The meeting was attended by State Minister for BC Welfare, Handlooms and Textiles minister Savitha, along with tahsildars, MPDOs, and municipal commissioners from five mandals of the constituency. While discussions were underway on the P4 Action Plan, several officials were seen engrossed in their mobile phones, ignoring the proceedings. Even as the Minister and RDO were actively engaging in talks on the plan, the inattentive behavior of officials, who appeared visibly distracted and unconcerned, became a topic of criticism. Their disregard for a key initiative prioritised by the Chief Minister has sparked concerns and debate over the seriousness with which the programme is being implemented at the local level.

Govt committed to poverty eradication by 2029: Bharath
Kurnool: The State Government is fully committed to eradicating poverty and building a prosperous, inclusive society, Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Minister TG Bharath said on Saturday. Speaking at the inaugural General Body meeting of the Swarnandhra–P4 (Public, Private, People, Partnership) initiative held at the Kurnool Municipal Office, the Minister stated that the administration, under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is progressing with a clear, strategic roadmap aimed at sustainable development. As part of the Swarnandhra Vision–2047 programme, he emphasized the need for rigorous implementation and directed officials to fast-track the identification of eligible families under the Margadarsi and Bangaru Kutumbalu schemes. He announced that by 2029, all eligible families in the constituency would be provided with housing. He further instructed officials to devise an action plan for development projects to be undertaken in the next five years, modernize municipal schools, improve urban parks, and resolve electrical hazards in older parts of the city. He also stressed the importance of beautifying city spaces, including cleaning and painting compound walls along main roads and accelerating tree plantation drives. Directions were issued for the establishment of parking and vending zones, including a new vending facility behind the Punnami Restaurant. He ordered the removal of encroachments on major roads to ease traffic congestion and called for focused efforts in upgrading TIDCO housing colonies. Speaking to the media, he reaffirmed the government's objective of creating a poverty-free society through a systematic and visionary approach. He stated that the meeting discussed key issues concerning the implementation of the P4 framework and various public welfare measures. He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the 'Super 6' promises made during the elections. He disclosed that by August 15, the government aims to identify 15 lakh Bangaru Kutumbalu and appoint one lakh Margadarsis to offer timely support and continuous guidance to beneficiary families. He clarified that the P4 programme is an extension of the State's welfare vision and not a substitute for existing schemes. Collector calls for 'let's make Sri Sathya Sai a dropout-free dist'
Puttaparthi: Sri Sathya Sai District Collector TS Chetan has called for collective efforts to enroll all school-age children and transform the district into a dropout-free zone. Addressing the media on Saturday at the Mini Conference Hall in the District Collectorate joined by District SP V Ratna, IPS, to outline the district's strategy for the upcoming Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) and related programmes including P4 and Talli Ki Vandanam. He explained that the Mega PTM an initiative of the State Education Department—will be held across Andhra Pradesh on July 10. The event is aimed at strengthening the bond between students, parents, and teachers, and will be conducted in a festive atmosphere, focusing on comprehensive educational development. Mandatory participation of all students with their parents and active involvement of teachers. Detailed progress reports will be shared with parents. Rangoli competitions for mothers, tug-of-war for fathers, and other cultural activities will be organised. The theme this year highlights the central role of mothers in the education system. Alumni and donors who have supported schools will also be invited. Student-led committees such as Invitation, Parking, and Hospitality committees will be set up in each school. Participation of government officials including Tahsildars, MPDOs, and Municipal Commissioners is expected. Public representatives, including MPs and MLAs, will attend the PTM in their respective constituencies. The state-level programme will be held at Kottacheruvu in our district, under the guidance of the Chief Minister. 20,789 students enrolled in Class 1, and 24,000 in Class 6 this year. Students' Aadhaar details and photographs must be linked accurately in UDISE+. Parents, teachers, and society must jointly work to eliminate school dropouts. Citizens can register at and select families to mentor. Each mentor will have a profile on the platform. Alumni and NRIs from the district are encouraged to support families in their native villages.
