Govt committed to poverty eradication by 2029: Bharath
Speaking at the inaugural General Body meeting of the Swarnandhra–P4 (Public, Private, People, Partnership) initiative held at the Kurnool Municipal Office, the Minister stated that the administration, under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is progressing with a clear, strategic roadmap aimed at sustainable development.
As part of the Swarnandhra Vision–2047 programme, he emphasized the need for rigorous implementation and directed officials to fast-track the identification of eligible families under the Margadarsi and Bangaru Kutumbalu schemes.
He announced that by 2029, all eligible families in the constituency would be provided with housing.
He further instructed officials to devise an action plan for development projects to be undertaken in the next five years, modernize municipal schools, improve urban parks, and resolve electrical hazards in older parts of the city.
He also stressed the importance of beautifying city spaces, including cleaning and painting compound walls along main roads and accelerating tree plantation drives. Directions were issued for the establishment of parking and vending zones, including a new vending facility behind the Punnami Restaurant.
He ordered the removal of encroachments on major roads to ease traffic congestion and called for focused efforts in upgrading TIDCO housing colonies.
Speaking to the media, he reaffirmed the government's objective of creating a poverty-free society through a systematic and visionary approach. He stated that the meeting discussed key issues concerning the implementation of the P4 framework and various public welfare measures. He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the 'Super 6' promises made during the elections. He disclosed that by August 15, the government aims to identify 15 lakh Bangaru Kutumbalu and appoint one lakh Margadarsis to offer timely support and continuous guidance to beneficiary families.
He clarified that the P4 programme is an extension of the State's welfare vision and not a substitute for existing schemes.

TIL Creatives Representative Image Indian businesses have a potential to generate $9.82 trillion ineconomic value by moving beyond traditional sector-based models and addressing fundamental human and industrial needs, a report by PwC India PwC report, Navigating the Value Shift, estimates that Indian businesses can unlock $9.82 trillion in gross value added (GVA) by 2035 by tapping into about nine growth domains. As per the report, total GVA of India will grow from $ 3.39 trillion in 2023 to 9.82 trillion in 2035, that is a CAGR of 9.27%. GVA is essentially a measure of the value of goods and services produced in the economy and is an indicator of economic performance and productivity used to estimate GDP after adjusting for taxes and subsidies. The report introduces a new framework that focuses on 'domains' or broad areas of human need such as how we live, move, care, build and power report added that these domains reflect how value is being created in an economy and is shaped by climate change, demographic shifts and technological disruption. Each domain brings together multiple industries and encourages cross-sector collaboration to deliver integrated solutions, the PwC report added. 'India CEOs are already responding to these shifts. In PwC's 28th Annual Global CEO Survey: India perspective published in January 2025, 40% of India CEOs stated that their companies have entered at least one new sector in the past five years, with half of them generating up to 20% of their revenue from these new ventures,' said Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson, PwC in India. 'But to sustain momentum and unlock full value, businesses must move beyond ad hoc diversification. A domain-led lens that goes beyond the sector-led approach provides a powerful way to reimagine capabilities, collaborate across ecosystems, and build future-ready business and revenue models.' The report also identified nine domains, including how we make, how we build, how we care and how we move. Among these, the 'How we make' domain, which includes manufacturing and industrial production could be one of the biggest contributors and has a potential to grow from $945 billion in 2023 to about $2.7 trillion in GVA by 2035. This growth is expected to be driven by digital innovation, automation and the growing emphasis on advanced significant domain is 'How we build,' which is undergoing rapid transformation as technology reshapes construction, real estate and infrastructure. The telecommunications sector illustrates how domain-based thinking can open up multiple pathways for growth. Beyond connectivity, telecom companies are supporting smart mobility, enabling telehealth and wearable devices, securing food supply chains through blockchain authentication, and linking broadband networks with energy infrastructure. These applications cut across several domains, creating new value pools through ecosystem collaboration. To help businesses navigate this shift, the report outlines a structured framework that includes 'glidepaths and guardrails'—strategic steps and risk mitigators for entering new domains. These include mapping ecosystem partners, bridging capability gaps, setting up intelligent foresight engines and developing clear entry and exit strategies.'In an environment where businesses are constantly seeking clarity on where to play and how to play, our research offers both strategic direction and a framework for them to engage creatively with growth opportunities they may not have necessarily identified,' said Raghav Narsalay, Partner and Leader – Research and Insights Hub, PwC India. The estimates in the report are based on economic modelling using the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), and draw from data sources including the IMF, RBI and the IIASA Shared Socioeconomic Pathway 2 (SSP2). Sectors were mapped to domains using input-output tables to assess where they align most strongly and how value flows between India targeting a $30 trillion economy by 2047, PwC's domain-based approach suggests that companies who align with these human and industrial needs—and collaborate across sector lines—will be best positioned to drive and benefit from the country's next phase of inclusive and sustainable growth.

The Member of Parliament and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut visited the Thunag subdivision in Mandi district on Sunday, amid widespread destruction and loss of lives caused by cloudbursts and flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall across Himachal Pradesh . While speaking to ANI, Kangana shared the on-field report of the ' relief efforts ' by the Indian government and the administration in the flash flood-affected areas, especially Thunag subdivision. "Following the cloudburst , there is a flood-like situation here in Mandi. Road connectivity is severely affected, particularly in the Thunag area and the nearby areas. Despite this, our government and administration are closely monitoring the situation, and relief efforts are underway. Road connectivity is being restored. Our teams are in every affected area. We have made committees in the affected areas, which have their chairpersons," said Kangana Ranaut. A spokesperson of the State Government said that the Mandi administration had distributed 1,317 food kits having 5 kg flour, 5 kg rice, one litre edible oil, one kg salt, one kg sugar, two kg pulses, 100 gm Haldi, 100 gm Mirch powder and 100 gram tea each among the affected families in the disaster hit areas. Live Events He stated that 197 food kits were made available in Thunag, 69 in Janjehli, 1,000 in Bagsaid, 40 in Dharampur, and 11 in the Chauntra area of Mandi district. He said that 160 food kits had been sent for the Janjehli area and 176 kits for the Thunag area of the Seraj assembly constituency of Mandi district today for further distribution among the disaster-affected families. He stated that 665 kits are still in stock and will be distributed as needed. On Saturday, a team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted a field visit to a village in Panchayat Jarode to extend emergency assistance to residents in disaster-affected areas. During the visit, the SDRF team surveyed the impacted areas and identified vulnerable individuals in urgent need of aid. Relief materials, including basic need kits and medical kits, were distributed to the affected families as part of the immediate response effort. The team also assessed the medical conditions of several villagers and provided essential medicines on-site to those requiring immediate care. As part of the outreach, SDRF personnel interacted with local residents to gather information about unmet needs and additional support requirements. These findings have been shared with the District Administration to ensure timely and continued relief measures. Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Mandi district administration to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing in the disaster-affected areas of the district, ensuring that relief reaches all those in need. The death toll in Mandi district has risen to 14 amid widespread destruction and loss of lives caused by cloudbursts and flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall. The most affected areas are the Thunag subdivision, Karsog Gohar subdivision and Dharampur subdivision, DC Mandi, Apoorv Devgan said.

Penukonda: Officials appeared indifferent towards the P4 initiative, a prestigious programme launched by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, during the Constituency Vision Action Plan meeting held on Saturday at the Bhuvana Vijaya meeting hall, under the chairmanship of RDO Anand Kumar. The meeting was attended by State Minister for BC Welfare, Handlooms and Textiles minister Savitha, along with tahsildars, MPDOs, and municipal commissioners from five mandals of the constituency. While discussions were underway on the P4 Action Plan, several officials were seen engrossed in their mobile phones, ignoring the proceedings. Even as the Minister and RDO were actively engaging in talks on the plan, the inattentive behavior of officials, who appeared visibly distracted and unconcerned, became a topic of criticism. Their disregard for a key initiative prioritised by the Chief Minister has sparked concerns and debate over the seriousness with which the programme is being implemented at the local level.
