Battle Of Galwan First Look: Fans Hail Salman Khan's Comeback As 'Pure Goosebumps'
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is based on true events. The release date and full cast details are still under wraps.
Salman Khan's upcoming film Battle of Galwan has ignited massive buzz online with its powerful first look. Unveiled on Friday, the motion poster shows Salman in a bloodied, battle-worn avatar, clad in uniform, with an intense moustache and fierce patriotism radiating from his expression. The project is being widely hailed as his long-awaited comeback after the underwhelming response to his last film, Sikandar.
The announcement set off a wave of excitement among fans and celebrities alike. Actor and TV host Maniesh Paul was among the first to react to Salman's Instagram post, writing, 'Gazzzaaaaabbbb. Bhaijaan (sic)."
Social media was flooded with fan reactions. One Instagram user commented, 'Kuch bada hone wala hai (Something big is about to happen) (sic)." On X (formerly Twitter), the sentiment was equally emotional and patriotic. A user wrote, 'He bleeds for the nation. We wait with our hearts. Battle of Galwan is not just a film, it's a tribute. Make us feel every drop of sacrifice, Salman Khan. We are ready. (sic)." Another commented, 'Salute to the bravehearts who created history in Galwan! Salman Khan's upcoming film Battle of Galwan is a tribute to the courageous soldiers who laid down their lives but never bowed down. Based on true events, this film is not just a story — it's a spirit. (sic)"
The Galwan Valley clash, which took place on June 15, 2020, was a deadly skirmish between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh. Colonel B Santosh Babu, who led the 16 Bihar regiment, is reportedly the real-life figure Salman portrays in the film.
Adding to the intrigue, Salman posted a cryptic message on Instagram on Thursday, writing, 'Mehnat karo sahi disha mein… banayega unhi ko unke hunar ka pehelwan," hinting at the film's themes of strength, honour, and sacrifice.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is based on true events. The release date and full cast details are still under wraps, but the first look has already struck an emotional chord.

Meet Dev Anand's 'wife', married Nepali hero, huge amount was once found in her bathroom, said in court that earned money by prostitution, her name is... Legendary Bollywood actress Mala Sinha enjoyed a striking, four-decade long career in the industry. Her unmatched screen-presence and charismatic beauty made her a remarkable name in Indian cinema. But in a shocking turn of events, her rising career crashed badly due to a single lie told in courtroom. What was Mala Sinha's glorious career like? Mala Sinha made her debut in 1954 with the film Baadshah . Over the next years, she became a household name by featuring in more than 100 films, opposite superstars like Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, Guru Dutt, Ashok Kumar and Manoj Kumar. Besides fame, her financial success also rose, becoming one of the highest-paid actresses in 90s. Mala's earnings even rivalled male superstars, which was a rarity for actresses in those times. How Mala Sinha's glittering life came to an end? However, in 1978, her personal life made national headlines, when Income Tax officials raided her home, recovering Rs 12 lakh hidden behind her bathroom walls. The matter escalated to courtroom, and under legal pressure she claimed that the money was earned through prostitution. According to reports, the shocking statement was advised to her by legal counsel and her father, to avoid further penalties. Though court permitted Mala to keep the money, but her career deteriorated following the shocking revelation. The film fraternity distanced themselves, and she suddenly found herself ostracised by the stars with whom she once collaborated with and gave many hits. Following the whole courtroom incident, Mala's career couldn't rise and it led to a devastating end of her cinematic legacy. On the personal front, Mala Sinha's husband Chidambar Prasad Lohani, who was a known Nepali actor, passed away in 2024. He reportedly took his last breath at Annapurna Neuro Hospital, where he was battling pneumonia and Alzheimer's at the age of 86.

Last Updated: One of the viral moments from Lalit Modi's London party featured him and Vijay Mallya singing Frank Sinatra's I Did It My Way on karaoke. Former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi recently hosted a grand party in London, attended by over 300 guests. The star-studded gathering saw familiar faces, including his longtime associate Vijay Mallya, West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, and Indian singer Carlton Braganza. A standout moment from the evening that quickly went viral online featured Modi and Mallya performing a karaoke rendition of Frank Sinatra's classic I Did It My Way. The clip has sparked buzz on social media, as it marks a rare public reunion of the two controversial businessmen. Another highlight of the evening was Gayle signing a cricket bat for Lalit. The bat held significance for Modi as it was the one Gayle used to score his record-breaking 175 runs in an IPL match for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2013. Modi took to social media to thank Gayle, writing, 'With the man himself the one and only #universeboss Chris Gayle at my home in london for my summer party. Presented me with his bat with which he scored the highest ever total by an individual person in an T20 IPL match in 2013 for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru of 175 runs in just 66 balls. What an inning that was. And he was not out. The greatest entertainer in cricket of all times. I salute him." With the man himself the one and only #universeboss @chrisgayle333 at my home in london for my summer party. Presented me with his bat with which he scored the highest ever total by an individual person in an T20 @iplt20 match in 2013 for the @ of 175… — Lalit Kumar Modi (@LalitKModi) July 3, 2025 Gayle also shared a photo with Modi and Mallya on Instagram Stories. In the caption, he wrote, 'We living it up. Thanks for a lovely evening." A Deja Vu Moment This isn't the first time the trio has been seen together. Just last year, all three were spotted at the grand wedding of Mallya's son, Siddharth Mallya, with Jasmine. The week-long celebration was held at Mallya's $14 million estate in Hertfordshire, UK. The wedding included both Hindu and Christian ceremonies and was attended by several well-known guests including singer Sophie Choudry and fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla. One photo from the wedding showing Mallya and Modi together sparked memes and reactions online at the time. 'Bankrupt' Vijay Mallya hosted his son, Siddharth Mallya's big fat wedding in in a 14 million dollar-estate which is owned by him, a lavish fashion in London. Absconding Lalit Modi and cricketer Chris Gayle were part of the guest why we say #DontRetireRich — Srikanth Matrubai (@SrikantMatrubai) June 30, 2024 Gayle had also shared exclusive glimpses from the festivities including a video of guests dancing to Chaleya from Shah Rukh Khan's film Jawan. The venue itself also drew attention as the property was once owned by Anthony Hamilton, father of Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton. Mallya bought the estate in 2015, just before he left India. Legal Troubles Both Modi and Mallya have been facing serious allegations. Modi, who once served as vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI), left India in 2010 amid investigations related to financial misconduct, including alleged bid-rigging, unauthorised fund transfers, money laundering and violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Mallya, on the other hand, is accused in a bank loan default case of over Rs 9,000 crore linked to his now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines. He moved to the UK in 2016 and was declared a fugitive economic offender in 2019.
