Giants activate 3B Matt Chapman (hand) from IL
Chapman is batting fourth while playing in his customary defensive spot at the hot corner.
Chapman was sidelined with a right hand injury sustained in a game against the Atlanta Braves on June 8. He jammed the hand while diving back to first base in the bottom of the eighth inning and immediately displayed he was in pain.
Chapman, 32, played in a rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento on Friday night in Reno, Nev., and went 0-for-3 with a walk.
San Francisco was just 9-14 without Chapman and has lost eight of its past 11 entering Saturday's contest in West Sacramento, Calif.
The five-time Gold Glove Award winner is batting .243 with 12 homers and 30 RBIs in 65 games this season. He is in his second season with the Giants.
The Giants also designated infielder Sergio Alcantara for assignment, optioned right-hander Mason Black to Sacramento and recalled righty Tristan Beck from the River Cats.
Alcantara, 28, was hitless in four at-bats in his lone game for the Giants, which was his first big league appearance since 2022 for the San Diego Padres. He has a .207 career average in 193 games over four seasons with five teams.
Black, 25, allowed five runs (three earned) and five hits over four innings in Saturday's 11-2 loss to the A's in his first big league appearance of the season. He is 1-5 with a 6.47 ERA in 10 appearances (eight starts) over the past two seasons with San Francisco.
Beck, 29, was 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in six relief appearances with the Giants earlier this season. He is 4-3 with a 3.66 ERA in 46 appearances (four starts) over three seasons with San Francisco.

Joao Pedro double fires Chelsea into Club World Cup final
Joao Pedro scored twice on his full Chelsea debut as the Premier League side secured a place in the Club World Cup final – and a lucrative payday – with a 2-0 win over Fluminense. The Brazil forward, who only completed his £60million move from Brighton last week, struck in style in each half as Chelsea overcame his first professional club and sweltering conditions in New York on Tuesday. Their reward for victory is a guaranteed cash prize of around £80million and the chance to play for a jackpot exceeding £90m in Sunday's final against Real Madrid or Paris St Germain. Manager Enzo Maresca handed Pedro, who made his debut off the bench in the quarter-final defeat of Palmeiras, his first start in the absence of the suspended Liam Delap. It was a decision which paid very rich dividends as Chelsea battled past a Fluminense side who, captained by veteran former Blues defender Thiago Silva, had defied expectations to reach the last four. The temperature was around 34C at kick-off at MetLife Stadium and Chelsea were playing their 63rd game of a season that began last August. Yet they still made a strong start with the influential Enzo Fernandez having a shot blocked and then floating in a free-kick which Tosin Adarabioyo headed wide. Pedro Neto was also lively and it was his break down the left which led to Pedro's stunning opener on 18 minutes. Neto whipped in a cross which was cleared only as far as the former Brighton striker on the edge of the area and he brilliantly curled a shot beyond 44-year-old goalkeeper Fabio. It was a spectacular way to open his account for his new club but Pedro's celebrations were notably muted, almost apologetic, in front of the Fluminense fans. Chelsea could have immediately doubled their lead after Neto picked out Malo Gusto but the Frenchman's stooping header was straight at Fabio. They were almost made to regret that miss when Hercules broke through and rounded Robert Sanchez but Marc Cucurella cleared off the line. Chelsea had another scare when French referee Francois Letexier pointed to the penalty spot after a Fluminense cross flicked the head of Thiago Santos and then struck the arm of Trevoh Chalobah. It seemed a harsh decision and was reversed following a VAR review. Chelsea threatened again before the break when a Neto strike was deflected wide and Sanchez came to their rescue after the restart when he saved from Everaldo. Pedro struck the decisive blow on 56 minutes as Chelsea broke from deep inside their own half. Fernandez found Pedro with a superb through-ball and he cut inside Ignacio to hit a thunderous shot in off the underside of the bar. From then it became a case of seeing out the job and, although booked for time-wasting, Chelsea keeper Sanchez was not troubled. On the downside, Moises Caicedo appeared to pick up an injury in the closing stages. Nicolas Jackson could have added a third goal when he fired into the side-netting.

The 23-year-old Brazilian scored in both halves to more than repay Chelsea's faith in him - and almost repay his transfer fee. 4 4 Chelsea have earned just over £61m in prize money by reaching Sunday's final in New Jersey with the potential of another £10m if they win it. Enzo Maresca's side now have the chance of making history against either PSG or Real Madrid. Here's how SunSport's Mark Fleming rated Chelsea's match winners. Robert Sanchez - 3 Made a howler when he was rooted to his line after 26 minutes but Marc Cucurella bailed him out with a goal-line clearance. His distribution was also flaky, too often missing the target. Made a save from Eve but even that wasn't convincing. And he even managed to pick up a yellow card for time wasting. Sanchez is a liability and it seems incredible that Chelsea are continuing with him as their No1 keeper. Malo Gusto - 6 Played more as a right winger in the New Jersey heat but didn't wilt. Looked uncomfortable in possession and often just played the simple short pass. Tosin Adarabioyo - 5 Solid at the back, and also gave nothing away in a bizarre interview during the halftime break. His distribution is limited, and only served to demonstrate how much they missed the suspended Levi Colwill, whose passing is on a different level. Enzo Fernandez - 6 Growing into his more advanced role but still did a thorough defensive shift. His runs into the box are becoming a key feature of this developing Chelsea team. Wonderful pass with the outside of his foot to set up Joao Pedro's second goal. Moises Caicedo - 7 Back in the team after missing the Palmeiras through suspension, and at the heart of the midfield as Blues fans have come to expect. Enjoyed a physical battle with Nonato throughout. Fizzed a long distance shot over the bar early in the second half. Pedro Neto - 8 In the form of his life right now. Was Chelsea's most attacking outlet in the first half, tormenting the Fluminense right back Guga. Unlucky to see his shot blocked by Thiago Silva just before the interval. He started to fade a little in the second half, and was replaced by Madueke. 4 Cole Palmer - 6 Very quiet first 45 from Chelsea's talisman who struggled to get on the ball. Much better second half, that included one twisting, turning run that had the fans on their feet. Also a wonderful cross field pass for Nkunku. Could have completed the game with a simple tap-in had Nicolas Jackson had the vision to pass to him when he was completely unmarked instead of firing into the side netting. Christopher Nkunku - 5 Seems happier in a more central role, with Gusto on the right wing but lacked any cutting edge. Should really have scored with a header late in the first half just six yards out. And had two good chances to score in the second as well that he spurned. His days as a Chelsea player look to be numbered. Joao Pedro - 9 What a game! Made his first start since his £60m move from Brighton and scored a brilliant goal from outside the box in the 18th min. And then the Brazil star pulled off an even better finish in the 55th min with a sensational strike off the underside of the bar to double the lead. However he didn't celebrate as Fluminense is one of his former clubs. Two wonder goals, and plenty of hard work before he was denied the chance to clinch a hat-trick as he was replaced by Nicolas Jackson on the hour Subs Nicolas Jackson (sub for Joao Pedro, 60mins) Given half an hour but failed to click and now looks destined to be Joao Pedro's understudy. Selfishly shot into the side netting when he should have squared the ball to Palmer in the last 10 minutes. Noni Maduke (sub for Neto, 67 mins) The right winger might be dreaming of a move to Arsenal but he still has a job to do for Chelsea. Plenty of energy as Chelsea closed out the game. Reece James (sub for Gusto, 67 mins) Brought composure and a calm head as Maresca's men saw out the final 20 minutes.
