Kid Rock's Nashville Restaurant Closes Over Concerns of ICE Raid: Report
Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville reportedly shut its doors on Saturday to avoid potential ICE raids sweeping the area.
Nashville Scene reports that employees without legal citizenship were told to leave work at Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse around 9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday in order to avoid detention by ICE agents.
'We were already understaffed because of the ICE raids throughout the weekend,' an employee, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid retaliation, told the Scene. 'There was no one in the kitchen to cook the food.'
While Kid Rock licenses his name to Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse, the business is actually owned by conservative restaurateur Steve Smith. Per Nashville Scene, Smith's other Nashville eateries also shut down Saturday night over ICE raid concerns, and on Sunday, some struggled with staffing as workers avoided returning to work, fearing arrest.

'Happy Gilmore 2' footage of Travis Kelce shirtless and screaming is gold
The offseason has been a fun one for NFL star Travis Kelce. The three-time Super Bowl champion was able to travel, spend time with his pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift and had a guest role in Adam Sandler's long-awaited sequel to the iconic 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore. In Happy Gilmore 2, Kelce appears as a waiter at the golf club, helping take the orders from some of the most legendary golfers in the game. He works alongside a bus boy -- played by singer Bad Bunny -- and eventually fires him for a perceived slight. It's a small role, but he gets to come back later as Bad Bunny's character goes to his "happy place." In that scene, the Kansas City tight end is tied up to a pole wearing nothing but an apron and has honey slathered on him by Bad Bunny before a bear (or rather a man in a bear costume) comes into the picture. Subway transforms restaurant into 'happy place' from 'Happy Gilmore'
If you're looking to get to your happy place but can't quite swing a trip to your local golf course or your favorite beach, Subway has an alternative option. To further its collaboration with Netflix comedy "Happy Gilmore 2," Subway announced Thursday, July 31, that it is transforming one of its locations in California into Happy Gilmore's "happy place" from the new and original film. Subway's Happy Place will "let fans relive iconic scenes" from the movie and play minigolf on a course inspired by the film's most memorable shots, while also featuring appearances from some cast members, according to the sandwich chain's news release. The Happy Place will be open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. PT on Friday, Aug. 8. The restaurant is located at 1801 W. Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica, California. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to make a reservation and secure their spot in line at "In addition to one-of-a-kind photo ops, 'Happy Gilmore 2' props and plenty of Subway sandwiches, fans can also relax with ice-cold beer on tap and find their center in Subway's country-club-style beer garden," according to the sandwich chain. Subway customers can make any combo or Meal of the Day a Happy Gilmore Meal for $1 more and receive one of four limited-edition collectible cups featuring fan-favorite characters from the movie franchise.
