This year's event in Wrexham will run from August 2-9 with thousands expecting to visit.
Wrexham Council has shared advice on transportation and parking ahead of this year's Eisteddfod Wrecsam - leaving you plenty of time to plan ahead!
Wrexham General train station is one of the main stations between north and south Wales, and it also links to the north Wales Main Line via the Wrexham to Bidston service. Trains will run regularly throughout the day and late into the evening.
Wrexham has a wide network of public buses running throughout the day and evening.

TrawsCymru service T3 will also serve the Maes every 2 hours from Wrexham Bus Station. The T3 service opens up direct access to the Maes from Barmouth, Dolgellau, Bala, Corwen and Llangollen.
A free shuttle bus service will run frequently between the train station, the bus station in the city centre and the Maes throughout the day and late into the night.
These buses are low-level vehicles, suitable for wheelchairs.

Need to travel by car to the Eisteddfod? Make sure you follow the yellow 'Eisteddfod' signs to get to the Maes.
Maes B, the caravan and family campsite, Hwyrnos, the Maes B campsite and the car parks are all close to the Eisteddfod Maes in Is-y-coed.
Signs will encourage everyone to approach the Maes from junction 6 (Gresford) on the A483.
Traffic from the A55 will follow the signs from the traffic lights at the junction of the A483 and the B5445 (Belgrave), and will be directed south to junction 6 (Gresford) on the A483.
Traffic from the direction of Mold on the A541 (junction 5, A483), Ruthin area on the A525 (junction 4, A483), Rhosllannerchrugog area on the B5605 (junction 3, A483), Johnstown on the B5426, Bangor Road (junction 2, A483) and Llangollen / Dee Valley area on the A5 (junction 1, A483) will be directed northbound to junction 6 (Gresford) on the A483.

Traffic from the Oswestry area on the A5 (including south Wales traffic) will leave the A483 at junction 6 (Gresford).
Traffic from the A525 Bangor on Dee area will pick up signage on the approach to the south side of the industrial estate at Cross Lanes traffic lights. Traffic will be advised to turn right here on to the B5130 towards Holt, passing through Talwrn and Bowling Bank before turning left on to Ridley Wood Road.
Follow the signs to the car parks and please don't park on the side of the road.
Remember to follow our stewards' instructions in the car park. They're here to help you as you arrive and leave the car park. Parking is free.
Disabled visitors with a blue badge should follow the signs to the disabled car park.

Transport for Wales Expands Services Ahead of Wrexham Eisteddfod

Following the success of sustainable travel at last year's Eisteddfod in Pontypridd, Transport for Wales (TfW) is encouraging visitors to use green travel options for this year's event in Wrexham. The Eisteddfod will be held in Isycoed, on the outskirts of the city, from Saturday, 2 August to Saturday, 9 August 2025. TfW has been working closely with Wrexham County Borough Council and the Eisteddfod organisers to finalise comprehensive transport arrangements designed to make green travel options the easiest and most convenient way of travelling for visitors. Wrexham General is the nearest station to the Maes. To accommodate the increase in passenger numbers TfW and Avanti West Coast will be running extra services throughout the week. For onwards journey to the Maes, free shuttle buses will run frequently between Wrexham General railway station, Wrexham Bus station and the Maes. These services will run daily from 8am until midnight. Additionally, the enhanced TrawsCymru T3 bus route (Barmouth to Wrexham) will also call at the Eisteddfod Maes as an additional designated stop. TfW are actively engaging with Cycling UK and Wrexham Council to identify safe routes and methods for visitors choosing to arrive via bike/wheeling and on foot. Gethin George, Programme Manager at TfW, said: 'As a key transport partner, we're proud to continue our commitment to provide sustainable travel options for the Eisteddfod. 'We saw fantastic engagement last year, and we've built on that success to make it even easier for visitors to choose green travel options to reach the Maes in Wrexham. 'We've worked closely with our partners to ensure seamless connections and look forward to welcoming everyone to the Eisteddfod in August.'

Menai Food Festival (Gwyl Fwyd Y Fenai) Enjoy a wide range of delicious products from local, major, artisan food and drink producers plus international street food. Crafts, music and family fun. It's in Menai Bridge on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. Saturday 10am - 6pm Sunday 10am - 5pm. Admission is £5 per day. Accompanied children go free. Explore history with the National Trust There are plenty of National Trust properties across Wales to explore, many of which are holding summer activities. These include Erddig Hall and Garden, Penrhyn Castle and Garden, Chirk Castle, Olas Newydd House and Garden and Plas yn Rhiw. You can find out more about National Trust events, here. Enjoy nature at RSPB Conwy There is lots going on at RSPB Cymru sites this summer. There are a range of feathered visitors to RSPB Conwy in Llandudno Junction throughout the year. Sing your heart out at The Big Tribute Festival Taking place in Aberystwyth is The Big Tribute Festival from Friday 22nd August – Sunday 24th August 2025. Marvel at the World Bog Snorkelling Championships In one of the more unique events this summer hundreds of participants dress up in crazy costumes and go snorkelling in the bog at Llanwrtyd Wells, on August 24. There are food and drink stalls, crafts, live music and a real ale and cider bar on the site, so it's a great day out even if you don't fancy taking the plunge. There is a small charge for parking on at the bog site. Connect to Welsh culture at the National Eisteddfod The National Eisteddfod is coming to Wrexham from Saturday, August 2-9. The Eisteddfod is Wales' largest cultural festival attracting over 160,000 visitors annually.
