The Yankees' tumultuous season got a bit more challenging this weekend as they lost their star to injury. The best player in baseball, Aaron Judge, is out for the foreseeable future with a flexor strain in his right elbow. He did not tear his UCL, but the fear of preventing that may cause the Yankees to proceed with caution when figuring out a timetable for his return. Coming off of a series loss to the Phillies, how will the Yankees adjust going forward, and will we see Judge again this year? Jake and Jordan discuss all of the possibilities and share their thoughts about what they think should happen.
Slightly over a year ago, Nick Kurtz was getting drafted out of Wake Forest. Now, Kurtz is not only playing in the majors, but he just made MLB history. Kurtz became the first rookie ever to hit four home runs in a major league game. "The Big Amish," Kurtz's nickname despite the fact that he is not Amish, went 6-for-6 with 4 HR, 8 RBI and 19 total bases vs. the Houston Astros on Friday night. Although Jacob Wilson has taken most of the headlines for the A's, they have another star in Kurtz. The guys discuss his historic game, his impressive last couple of months and what the future looks like for the young slugger.
While a rookie was etching his name into the record books this weekend, some MLB legends were being immortalized into baseball history. Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dave Parker and Dick Allen were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday in Cooperstown. Jake and Jordan discuss the emotional ceremony.

Cardinals training camp: Rookie CB Will Johnson makes highlight play
The Arizona Cardinals held their annual Red & White Practice on Saturday at State Farm Stadium. The second day in a row practicing in pads, they got in work in front of thousands of fans. There were a lot of plays made, but one play in particular will be remembered, and it gives Cardinals fans a reason to be excited about their rookie class. Cornerback Will Johnson, their second-round pick, made the play of the afternoon. He intercepted a pass from Kyler Murray intended for Zay Jones. Johnson jumped in front of Jones and took the ball away. Check out the play. Will Johnson picks off pass Johnson will play a big role on defense this season. He is one of the Cardinals' top three cornerbacks right now after Sean Murphy-Bunting and Star Thomas both had season-ending knee injuries. He, Max Melton and Garrett Williams will be the starters and play a lot. Johnson, selected 47th overall in the 2025 draft after falling tot to the second round. He was considered as high as a top-10 talent in the draft. Hopefully, that play is just a preview of many like it to come in the regular season. Former Michigan QB compares Bryce Underwood to current NFL stars
Michigan Wolverines quarterback Bryce Underwood has already received his flowers as an elite quarterback, even without playing a single down of college football yet. And given that he was the consensus no. 1 ranked player in the recruiting class of 2025, the preseason hype is obviously understandable. And now, the quarterback is even receiving props from that graced the turf in Ann Arbor before him, namely former Wolverines quarterback Jack Tuttle, who retired from football last year due to injuries. In a recent interview with Isaiah Hole, Tuttle held very high praise for the freshman quarterback, comparing him to current NFL quarterbacks such as Trevor Lawrence and Michael Penix Jr. "I've seen Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. That was my class. I've seen a lot of good football throwers, and I've been with Mike Penix at Indiana, obviously J.J. McCarthy here at Michigan," said Tuttle. "I would say Bryce is at the top with the best of them and probably throws it better than a lot of those guys, which is scary to say." A scary statement indeed, considering that Trevor Lawrence was just about perfect during his time at Clemson, and Penix Jr. and McCarthy met each other in the national championship last year and are now both starters for their respective NFL teams. If you could win with hype, Underwood could surely do it, but he first has to wait to see if he will even be the true starting quarterback in Sherrone Moore's offense.

Tim McGraw thrills crowd before MLB Speedway Classic
MLB tried something new, sort of new. The Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds were supposed to play a baseball game on a field inside Bristol Motor Speedway. Problem is that the weather didn't cooperate and it rained and rained until after two hours play was suspended with the Reds leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first. The game will be picked up on Sunday afternoon. The idea riffs off something college football has done but weather isn't usually a problem for that sport. What did take place was a pregame concert featuring Tim McGraw. That went off without a hitch. No word on whether the Speedway Classic will be renamed Field of Streams.
