
PAGASA: Heavy rains expected over Ilocos region
Based on its 11 p.m. weather advisory, the state weather bureau said 50 to 100 millimeters of rainfall should be expected in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur in the next 24 hours.
'Localized flooding is possible mainly in areas that are urbanized, low lying, or near rivers. Landslide possible in highly susceptible areas,' state meteorologists said.
PAGASA also urged the public and disaster risk reduction and management agencies in affected areas to take all essential safety precautions

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the country on Tuesday, PAGASA reported. The Southwest Monsoon (habagat) continues to bring rains over a large swath of the country on Tuesday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA. In its 5 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said occasional rains may be experienced over Ilocos Region due to habagat. Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms were forecast over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Negros Island, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM region. The rest of the country may experience partly cloud to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. PAGASA said moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough waters are forecast over the seaboards of extreme northern Luzon and the western sections of Central Luzon and the rest of nothern Luzon.
