JAIS Calling Organisers Of e-Hati To Record Statement - Mohd Na'im
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said JAIS has summoned several witnesses in relation to the case so far to assist in investigations being conducted under syariah crimes.
"The investigation into the case is still ongoing, so we are waiting for the results of the investigation and the investigation under the Penal Code which we have handed over to the police, but JAIS is also cooperating with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to see the progress (of the investigation).
"JAIS is also conducting an investigation under syariah crimes and JAIS is also calling witnesses to provide statements to assist in the investigation of the case," he said.
He told reporters after officiating the Sinar Lestari Programme of the Islamic Economic Development Foundation of Malaysia (YAPEIM) in Penaga here which saw three heads of families received assistance to build their own new houses at the event.
Therefore, Mohd Na'im said his party is waiting for a complete report from JAIS regarding the programme.
The public was shocked by the revelation of a social media user regarding the e-Hati motivational programme run by a married couple which is said to contain lewd elements and suspicious beliefs.
Following this, a married couple including the founder of the company known as eHati along with four other individuals were remanded for three days to assist in investigations into the organisation of the motivational programme.
Earlier, YAPEIM together with strategic partners helped build houses involving an allocation of RM240,000 for three beneficiaries in the B40 group from the eKasih list in Penang.

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A man who lodged a police report claiming his six-year-old son went missing in Johor has been remanded for seven days after the boy was found dead in Rompin, Negri Sembilan. Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the 36-year-old father was arrested on July 24 and has been remanded until Thursday (July 31) to assist in investigations. He said police began investigating the case under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for child neglect. ACP Kumarasan, however, said further investigation led police to the discovery of a child's body in Rompin, over 200km away from where the report was made. 'Based on information gathered during questioning, we believe the body is that of the missing child,' he said. He added that the case has since been referred to Jempol police district headquarters in Negri Sembilan for further investigation. ACP Kumarasan also confirmed that the suspect is now being probed for lodging a false police report, with investigations underway under Section 182 of the Penal Code.

Father remanded for 7 days over son's death in Negeri Sembilan
JOHOR BAHRU: A man in his 30s is on remand for seven days to assist police investigations into the death of his son, whose body was discovered in Rompin, Negeri Sembilan, after he lodged a report claiming the child had gone missing in Bukit Indah on July 24. Iskandar Puteri police chief ACP M. Kumarasan said the man, who is the victim's biological father, had initially alleged that his son disappeared on July 23 around 4 pm after he left the child alone in a car while going out to buy food. 'However, subsequent investigations led to the discovery of the victim's body in Rompin, Negeri Sembilan,' he said in a statement issued late yesterday. He said the suspect was arrested at about 12.20 pm on the same day he filed the false report, and preliminary checks confirmed that the man tested negative for drugs and had no criminal record. The suspect is being remanded for seven days starting July 25 to assist in the investigation under Section 182 of the Penal Code for making a false report. Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof was reported as saying that the police were informed about the discovery of the body of a child, who was suspected of being murdered and buried at the location at about 4.30 pm yesterday.
