Revealing her goal as an actress, she expressed her desire to bring joy and comfort to audiences, adding that she will continue to keep balancing acting and singing.
'I always like to watch dramas and movies and have received great energy from actors' performances. Like these great actors I've watched, I would like to become an actor that can offer good energy, comfort and hope to others,' Dahyun said in an interview.
The 26-year-old said You Are the Apple of My Eye marks a significant milestone in her career.

In order to build a bigger economic driver and make better use of Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong should aim to have more annual events, according to New People's Party lawmaker Dominic Lee. Lee, who sits on a government tourism committee, told RTHK's Backchat programme that concerts from groups like K-pop sensation Blackpink next year are great, but annual events like the Rugby Sevens have more of an economic impact. "One of the suggestions I recommended to the government is that we've got to have annual good because people [then] have expectations, they will actually set aside their schedule to come to Hong Kong," Lee said. Lee said the government needs to be more proactive in organising events, rather than leaving it up to the market. "The government has to be a little more supportive and actually assist organisers to actually secure these annual events to be held in Hong Kong because it's good for Hong Kong's economy." Lee's remarks follow a football match at Kai Tak Stadium on Tuesday, which saw Hong Kong, China clinch a 1-0 victory over India in front of a sold out crowd, in their first home game at the new venue. Affordable tickets for the match played a big part in its success, according to Lee. "Kai Tak Stadium is not a stadium for only the wealthy people, it's a stadium for the Hong Kong people, irrespective of demographic, age or walk of life," he said. Lee also said the new stadium, with its large capacity, frees up other venues for lesser known artists. "In the past, really popular singers will do their concerts at Hong Kong Stadium and they'll take up like 20 days, because they can sell out 20 days. So now they're moving to a bigger stadium and it really frees up a lot of other venues as well."

Music to fans' ears with latest BTS releases Two members of K-pop supergroup BTS were released from South Korea's mandatory military service on Tuesday and announced they wanted to start performing again "as soon as possible", prompting a fan frenzy. BTS, South Korea's most lucrative musical act, has been on a hiatus since 2022 while its seven members complete their military service. Hundreds of fans gathered at a site near the two army bases where band leader RM – recently named "Favorite K-pop Artist" at the American Music Awards – and singer V were separately discharged. Cheers broke out as they stepped out of vehicles and hugged, with RM playing a quick song on the saxophone as V stood next to him smiling, holding bunches of flowers. "What we want most right now is to perform again," RM, still wearing his army uniform, said after his discharge. "We're working hard on the new album so we can return to the stage as soon as possible." RM said there had been "many difficult and painful moments" during his 18 months of military service. "Since returning, I've grown closer with my father and old friends – many of whom had already completed their military service," he added. V said military service was "a time for me to reset and rebuild both my body and mind". "Now that I've done that, I truly want to run straight to ARMY as soon as possible," he said, referring to the band's official fandom name. This week, four BTS members will complete their service. Two were discharged last year, and the final member, Suga – who has been working as a social service agent for alternative non-active duty service – will be released later this month. Hybe, the band's agency, had urged fans not to go to the discharge location, citing safety concerns. K-pop's top MAMA Awards to return to Hong Kong for first time since 2018
One of the world's top K-pop awards ceremonies will return to Hong Kong for the first time since 2018, taking place in the city's 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium in November. The return of the MAMA Awards, formerly known as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, to the city is expected to be bigger than ever, with the event previously being hosted at the 12,500-seat AsiaWorld-Arena in 2018. The ceremony was first held in the city in 2012. In an Instagram post on Thursday, the event's official account announced that the ceremony would take place on November 28 and 29. Organisers have yet to release a seating plan or ticket prices for the show. The post attracted about 20,000 likes within just three hours of being published. Social media users welcomed the event's return to the city, with one describing Kai Tak Stadium as an 'awesome venue'. The MAMA Awards are considered one of the most popular events in K-pop, with groups such as BTS, Wanna One and Twice collecting awards at the last local edition of the event in 2018. Ticket prices at the time ranged from HK$888 (US$113) to HK$2,488.
