Cocaine, oxycodone, cash confiscated during St. Clair Shores, Eastpointe drug bust

A collection of drugs with an estimated street value of over $100,000 has been confiscated in a narcotics investigation involving multiple Metro Detroit law enforcement agencies.
The Michigan State Police, Second District, posted a photo of the some of the illegal items on its social media Wednesday; explaining that search warrants served in St. Clair Shores and Eastpointe resulted in the seizure of:
1.5 kilograms of cocaine.
1,883 oxycodone, hydrocodone, and alprazolam pills.
6 pounds of marijuana.
Over $20,000 in cash.
The County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) executed the search warrants Tuesday, assisted by MSP's Second District Headquarters, St. Clair Shores Police Department and Eastpointe Police Department.
Federal money to support this investigation came from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) Program, awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.

Thirteen people were arrested this week when authorities conducted an operation targeting online prostitution in Riverside County, according to the Murrieta Police Department. Officers, partnered with the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Taskforce, identified and arrested the suspects, all adult males, in cities that included Winchester, Wildomar, Ontario, Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Long Beach and Hemet. "Prostitution is a crime, and persons who demand these unlawful activities fuel an illicit underground economy both locally and across the State of California," said Murrieta police in a post on Facebook. "The operation focused on rescuing victims of sexual slavery and human trafficking, identifying and arresting their captors, and disrupting demand for those vulnerable victims." All 13 suspects, ranging in age from 20 to 59 years old, were arrested for solicitation of prostitution and each was released on $2,500 bail with a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, police said. Warren man charged with possessing child sexually abusive material

A 61-year-old Warren, Michigan, man is accused of possessing and sharing multiple images of child sexually abusive material, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office said Friday. Michael Cristini is charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and six counts of using a computer to commit a crime, court records show. He was arraigned on Friday at the 37th District Court in Warren. The prosecutor's office alleges that Cristini possessed and shared the child sexually abusive material around May 6. His bond is set at $500,000 cash or surety, according to court records. If released, Cristini won't be able to use the internet or a computer, can't have weapons, drugs or alcohol and will be required to wear a GPS tether. "The charges brought today represent some of the most serious offenses under the law involving the exploitation of children," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said in a news release on Friday. A probable cause conference for Cristini is scheduled for Aug. 15, followed by a preliminary exam on Aug. 21. Thirteen people were arrested during a prostitution bust in Riverside County. The operation targeted online prostitution and the suspects who sought the illicit services. The bust took place on July 30 and involved officers with the Murrieta Police Department and the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force. Thirteen male suspects were taken into custody for the alleged solicitation of prostitution: Christopher Ruckel, 20, Temecula Benjamin Narlock, 22, Temecula Alexis Bravo-Reyes, 23, Long Beach Edwardo Taamilo, 23, Murrieta Jose Ambriz-Gomez, 27, Ontario Alexis Escamilla, 27, Hemet Jarvis Ashmore, 28, Temecula Casey Gonzalez, 29, Wildomar Oscar Iraheta, 30, Menifee Stephen Johnson, 38, Murrieta Jason Wilson, 43, Temecula Jeffrey Hoffman, 52, Menifee Mark Robinson, 59, Winchester 'The operation focused on rescuing victims of sexual slavery and human trafficking, identifying and arresting their captors, and disrupting demand for these vulnerable victims,' said Murrieta police officials. 'Prostitution is not a 'victimless' crime. Human trafficking is the second-largest criminal enterprise in the world. Ninety-five percent of sex trafficking victims are women or children. Those victimized by commercial sexual exploitation frequently have long histories of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse or trauma in their backgrounds.'
