Shraddha Kapoor has joined the growing list of Bollywood celebrities praising Mohit Suri's film Saiyaara on social media. The film, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been enjoying a successful run at the box office, and has received great reviews from both audiences and critics. Uff…Bohot time baad itna emotion feel kiya hai (It's been a long time since I felt this much emotion)."
She also revealed her favourite moment from Saiyaara, sharing a video clip of the moment Ahaan Panday's character sees Aneet Padda on the jumbotron, and falls to his knees. Shraddha wrote that she can watch the film 5 times just for this scene. 'Iss moment ke liye 5 baar dekhoongi (I will watch this film 5 times just for this moment)." Shraddha Kapoor shot to fame with her breakthrough role in Mohit Suri's 2013 film Aashiqui 2, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Mohit Suri stated that he wasn't approached by the producers to helm Aashiqui 3. But, Mohit is rather thrilled that he could direct Saiyaara without having to worry about the franchise value of Aashiqui. 'For me, Aashiqui was a very pure and personal experience and I didn't want to do it just to capitalise on the title. As they say, to each other own. It's not like I wouldn't have been able to live up to the franchise value. Having said that, I'm glad I didn't do it. I'm glad that I got to make Saiyaara without the expectation or burden of Aashiqui," he tells us.
Meanwhile, Saiyaara stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are also receiving a lot of appreciation for their brilliant performance in their debut film. Celebs such as Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and many others publicly praised them on social media.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara follows the love story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a dreamer who wants to become a singing sensation, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), an aspiring journalist. Their lives take unexpected turns as love, ambition, and societal pressures clash in this emotionally charged romance.
