He was absolutely delighted, and says he'd now recommend Winnrz to 'all my friends and family'. Asharntay Greaves came away with £1,000 after coming across Winnrz on Instagram. 'You've got to be in it to win it!' she says. Meanwhile, lucky Londoner Joshua Johnson bagged £1,000 when he picked up a leaflet during his daily commute. He says: 'I found out about Winnrz on my way home from work. I took one of the flyers being given out. Then I got the phone call. And here we go. Thank you Winnrz!' Brits ditch sweet for savoury cocktails - with tangy tomato a favourite tipple

A survey of 2,000 people discovered that the majority of Brits are swapping their usual sweet cocktails this summer in favour of something more tangy on the taste buds Brits are ditching sweet cocktails for savoury tipples with tomato-based drinks a particular favourite, according to new research. ‌ A survey of 2,000 Brits from Papa Johns found that 60% of cocktail lovers are switching up their usual choice this summer, with 34% turning to tangy flavours such as tomato. And while the Bloody Mary may have reigned supreme for years, there's a new sip on the block thanks to Papa Johns' new summer cocktail – the Tomatini. ‌ Developed with expert mixologists at Sip Social, the drink features Papa Johns Portuguese-sourced vine ripened tomato pizza sauce blended with basil-infused vodka, thyme-flavoured vermouth and a red wine syrup for added balance and depth. It's designed to tickle the taste buds of the 29% of drinkers who love their cocktails with a herby kick. ‌ Richard Maxted, director and founder of Sip Social: 'We're seeing a real shift in drinking culture with people wanting complex, layered flavour profiles that challenge the norm. The Tomatini is a perfect example of this, as it pairs rich umami from the tomato with fresh herby notes and a touch of acidity. It's surprisingly versatile too, making it a great match for a pizza or even just a salty snack in the sun.' ‌ A Papa Johns spokesperson said: 'We've taken our signature tomato sauce - never from concentrate - and turned it into a bold, boozy blend with basil vodka and a hint of red wine syrup. It's savoury, sophisticated, and unmistakably Papa Johns. 'We're proud of our ingredient and quality credentials, so it's exciting to celebrate the integrity and craftsmanship of what goes into our pizzas in a whole new way.' The launch of the new cocktail comes following research that reveals the nation's favourite cocktail pairings, with seven in 10 (69%) young Brits rating pizza as their go-to, beating tacos, sushi and classic Indian and Chinese takeaways. To get your lips on this limited-edition tomato tipple, head to Papa Johns Tomatini from July 15. You'll not only bag the exclusive cocktail, but also a BOGOF pizza deal with a secret QR code.

'World's cheapest pint' in Benidorm costs less than a bunch of bananas

A Brit abroad in Benidorm has claimed to have found the 'world's cheapest pint' in the party city, and people will be thrilled to know it's cheaper than a bunch of bananas If you're looking to sip on the 'world's cheapest pint,' then you may be looking to book a flight to Benidorm this summer. Benidorm is party central, with stag dos and hen dos aplenty, many on their first lads' holidays, and bargain-hunting Brits looking to bag a pint for less than £7. ‌ And, it turns out you can get a pint for less than a bunch of bananas in Benidorm, which retail for around 90p, and people are thrilled at the news. Harry, who posts on TikTok as @harrytokky, shared that at the 4JAKS, you can pay just 43p for an ice-cold, delicious pint of beer. ‌ "Blimey! What can you get for 43p this day and age?" Harry asked the owner of the pub when he revealed the price of the beer. ‌ There were terms and conditions to the cheap beer, however, as you can only get them four nights of the week - but considering there are only three days you can't get a ridiculously cheap pint, it's worth a try. He shared that the pint you get is "Estrella Damm," saying it's not even the "cheap" one, it's the "good" one. ‌ The owner then continued saying: "The reason it's so cheap is that we've done a deal with them for the promotions," so rest assured, your pint will be of the highest quality. He shared that it's "usually between six and 10 o'clock," or "four to eight at night," depending on the day, but if he's on the premises, you can get your 50 cent pint. In the comments, people said that they were going to Benidorm soon, admitting: "I can't wait," because they were going to try and bag themselves a cheap beer. ‌ "I'm in Benidorm next Tuesday, I'll definitely come down and call in," one woman added. While it's not been confirmed whether this is actually the "world's cheapest pint" as Harry claims, it's certainly a bargain for Brits looking to get boozy. It's not the first helpful video Harry has shared about Benidorm either. He recently warned Brits going on holiday to be wary about which taxis they get into when they're there. ‌ He said that "in Benidorm there's only one type of taxi that you should be getting into," and they are "white cars with a blue stripe down the middle". Harry shared that they usually "have a light on the top of the roof," and it will be either green or red. "If they're red, the taxi is in use," whereas if the light is green, it's free to get in. He said these taxis will "take you to your destination nice and safe," which is more than can be said for the "fake taxis" he speaks of. Harry continued: "So guys, if you're coming out to Benidorm, they are the only taxis that you should be looking out for because you don't want to get into some random stranger's car" because they may not take you where you're going. Remember to drink responsibly. The NHS recommends not drinking more than 14 units of alcohol per week on a regular basis. This is the equivalent of six pints of average-strength beer, or 10 small glasses of lower-strength wine.
