A GROUP of pole dancers who sparked outrage after staging a semi-nude photoshoot outside a revered historic palace have been arrested.
The raunchy shoot unfolded outside the Old Palace of St. Michael and St. George in Corfu, a 200-year-old former royal residence and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Footage shared by Greek media showed two women in racy red lingerie balancing on a pole.
Another clip captures a dancer in a black thong leotard being cheered on by a woman shouting: 'Yes Shelly, nice!'
The women are now accused of violating archaeological law and degrading the surrounding area.
They expressed regret for their "unfortunate" actions, and reportedly had not realised the gravity of their behaviour until after the footage went viral.
Dozens of furious residents slammed the shoot online, branding it 'disgraceful' – and accusing the performers of being British, local outlet Proto Thema reported.
One person fumed: ' The Corfu Palaces: they once hosted royals. Now, pole dancing.
'If Lord Byron saw pole dancing at the Palaces, he would have returned to England without a second thought.'
Another commenter raged: 'Would they do the same at Buckingham [Palace]? Of course, here we have been the inferior in Europe for years on vacation and binge. [sic]'

Concerns were also raised over possible damage to the site, with one user asking whether the performers had 'pierced the slabs in the ground' to secure the pole.
So far, there's no evidence the historic structure was harmed.
The group of women had been visiting Corfu as they had done for several years to take part in various dancing events.
According to local media, a pole dancing school in the UK was behind the ordeal.
The school organises a vacation with intensive pole dancing seminars in Corfu every year in the last two weeks of May, ANT1 reported.
The Palace and site of the risky photoshoot was commissioned by British Lord High Commissioner Sir Thomas Maitland in the early 19th century.
It is one of the best-preserved examples of Regency architecture outside the UK and now houses the Museum of Asian Art.
The Directorate of the Museum reportedly had no idea the shoot was happening, according to Protothema.
Outraged locals flooded Facebook with questions.
'Did the permanent residents of the historic centre and their association take a position for this event?' one asked.
'Who gave the permission slip?' demanded another.
'Someone should call the police,' a third added.
It comes as a tourist is facing a £168,000 fine after hurling a huge rock into a gorge at Spain's Picos de Europa National Park.
The incident occurred on the popular Cares Trail, which draws 300,000 hikers annually.

Mission: Impossible star Simon Pegg blames undiagnosed ADHD for his three driving bans and multiple road crashes

Mission Impossible actor Simon Pegg has blamed undiagnosed ADHD for his three driving bans, multiple road accidents and 'crashing every hire car on holiday'. The 55-year-old insisted he is a 'good driver' but unfortunately impaired due to his condition as he loses focus when there are people 'talking and shouting'. It was a recent crash with his family in the vehicle that was the final straw as the Hollywood star finally decided it was time to get tested. Mr Pegg told the Wrong Turns podcast that as he has grown older, he has realised 'I probably have very serious ADHD and I need to look into that'. The confession comes as the Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead Hollywood star has been banned from driving three times. When asked to talk about a small humiliating moment in his life, Mr Pegg said: 'I have several. 'My main one is that I, seemingly without exception, crash every hire car on holiday. 'Again, I think this is... I did it the other day in Greece - I was backing out of the driveway of where we were staying, I had like five people in the car, everyone was talking. 'I didn't look, I was checking the sides of the car to make sure I was clear of the driveway, I didn't look at rear view camera thing and I hit a post. 'And it's become like, I can feel my wife just crumbling with disappointment. 'I've been banned from driving three times. 'Well, because of totting, you know, like, your points mount up. 'So you get done for speeding - most recently it happened because, I'm justifying it, it's unjustifiable, there are so many 20 zones where there used to be 30 and you go into them, you know, like you always would and the cameras are there very quickly. 'Anyway, that's not an excuse. 'But on the day that, I was in such a bad mood all day after I did it as well because I just felt my wife's disappointment in me. 'My daughter, bless her heart, was like "Are you al lright, dad?"' Mr Pegg added he was a 'good driver' and he's done a lot of 'advanced driving training'. Simon Pegg is pictured in 2011. It was then that Mr Pegg made the spontaneous decision to 'look up on the phone' if he had symptoms of ADHD. He said: 'I looked up on the phone "Do people with ADHD get into more car accidents than people who don't have it" and the answer was yes. 'And it's because of a lack of focus and ability to kind of totally focus. 'And that was the final straw that broke my ADHD camel's back. 'I need to speak to a psychiatrist and find out for sure if I have this thing.' Mr Pegg added he was a 'good driver' and he's done a lot of 'advanced driving training', but he loses focus when there are lots of people in the car talking and shouting, though he admitted the crash was still his fault. In 2021, Mr Pegg was banned from driving for six months after his £66,000 Mercedes was caught doing 63mph in a 40mph A-road. He was clocked well over the speed limit on a camera on a north London dual carriageway. At that time Mr Pegg already had nine penalty points on his licence and the four points imposed for the latest offence triggered the automatic ban at Wimbledon Magistrates Court. Magistrates heard Mr Pegg, who has also appeared in Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was snapped by a speed camera clocking up 63mph along the A41 in Hendon in his Mercedes GLE 500 in January 2020. He declared his weekly income as £3,800 and was fined £660.

The Assassin – Season 1 Episode 4 Recap & Review

The Yellow Letter Episode 4 of The Assassin starts where we left off with Edward shooting, but misses Damian. Luckily, the shot distracts Damian, giving Julie time to overpower him and take the gun. Julie shoots Damian in the stomach, making him beg for his life, saying he can help them disappear. Julie wants to kill Damian, but Edward thinks they should just leave since he is hurt and unarmed. They enter Damian's truck and drive to Athens, where Julie has a safe house. In France, Kayla arrives at their villa. Ezra tries to make a conversation, but Kayla wants to sleep. However, he piques her interest when he mentions that Jasper called about Chantaine. Ezra worries that they might be in danger, and the only way out is to figure out everything about Chantaine. He tells Ezra about seeing a letter Aaron hid in the safe, saying they might know something if they read it. Ezra says that regardless, they are secure in the house since Aaron has added security around the villa. Just then, one of the guards, Chris, receives a call from Marie after he sends him a considerable amount of money. Chris confirms that he's got the money and will update Marie once the job is done. In Athens, Julie makes a questionable meat sandwich, which Edward turns down. Sirus arrives carrying a pizza box, but inside there is no pizza, but guns. Julie chooses one, and Sirus leaves. Edward wonders why Julie needs another weapon, but she says it is for Edward to keep himself safe. Julie tries to teach Edward how to shoot, but it does not go well. Julie reminds Edward that the people after her, including Edward, will use anything to get to her. Kayla asks Aaron about the safe, the letter, and Chantaine in France. She makes Aaron open the safe, but the letter is no longer in there. Aaron says that there was no yellow envelope like Ezra had insinuated. He also adds that he did not put out a kill order for Kayla. She is his daughter and would never do anything to hurt her or Ezra. In Tripoli, Jasper tries to get to the boat and sneak out of Libya. He sees someone asking around for him, so he runs back and makes a phone call to Ezra again. Before he could tell him much, the person looking for him entered the shop, so Jasper cut the call short, promising to call back at five in the evening. Edward does not like running for the rest of his life. He storms out of the house to look for a telephone and calls Kayla. Kayla doesn't want to talk to him, but Ezra picks up the call. Meanwhile, the news report on the shooting in Greece names Edward and Julie as the main suspects. Ezra tells Edward about Chantaine and Jasper, so they agree that Edward should join the call later. After Edward hangs up the phone, he notices that the restaurant owner is on a call and sees his face on the news report. Edward rushes out but can't return to the safehouse because the police are everywhere. He runs up an abandoned building with the police on the trail. On the rooftop, Edward is trapped. He's forced to jump from one building to the next to escape the police. Meanwhile, Chris walks into Aaron's office and tries to shoot him. Aaron hides under his desk and calls for help. Ezra appears, overpowers Chris, and kills him by hitting his head with a statue. Aaron is impressed. About Chantaine, Aaron tells Ezra that he should make Kayla stop asking about it because it would be the end of everything they have built if he ever got out. Aaron also tells him he should stay vigilant because he will take over the empire when the time is right. Back at the safe house, Julie is relieved when Edward makes it back. They feel closer as Edward hugs her, excitedly discussing jumping across buildings. Julie asks for Edward's opinion on what they should do next. Edward tells her about Jasper and says they should wait for his call to learn what Chantaine is about before they plan their next moves. When Jasper calls Ezra, he connects the call to Edward. Jasper proves that he knows about Chantaine, saying that he blackmailed Aaron with it and was released from prison, and there are people after him. Since Athens is closer, Ezra promises to send Jasper some money so he can meet up with Edward and tell them what he knows. In France, Kayla keeps Aaron company after his brush with death. Aaron makes it his mission to find out who wants them dead. Kayla apologises for accusing Aaron of the hit on her. She pours Aaron a drink and spikes it with something. Meanwhile, Ezra is looking through his drug stash for Ketamine, which is what Kayla put in Aaron's drink. Ezra is high on the news about taking over CGM. He calls Marie to tell her all about it. Ezra also tells her about Edward's location when he meets Jasper. After ending the call, Ezra calls the number Marie had given and orders a hit on Jasper. Kayla helps a drunk Aaron back into the house, and he falls asleep on the sofa. Kayla uses the chance to search Aaron's office for the letter, finally finding it in Aaron's pocket. As she reads the letter, a look of horror is on her face. The next morning, Aaron is terrified to find that the letter and Kayla are missing. Julie organises new passports for her and Edward. The next morning, Edward meets with Jasper, who has managed to get to Athens by boat. Jasper becomes suspicious of Edward when he says he doesn't have the money. Edward tries to convince Jasper to follow him back to the safe house so they can figure everything out, but Jasper pulls out a knife. Julie watches their conversation closely and notices a suspicious woman heading towards them. Julie soon realises the woman is an assassin and shoots at her. Jasper and Edward run, and Julie chases after the woman. At the end of the episode, Julie chases after the woman and calls out to Edward. The Episode Review The stakes are slowly rising as we gear up for the finale. Aaron has been acting cross since we first met him. While he comes off as sincere, we are not sure if he is behind Kayla's assassination attempt. However, we know he wants Jasper dead. On the other hand, Marie wants Aaron dead, and she is willing to pay top dollar for it. I think it was ballsy of her to sleep with his son and get inside the house to plan her mission. Still, we don't know her motives. Damian underestimated Julie and learned a lesson. Never underestimate a mama bear, especially one who is a trained assassin! Although this is not ideal bonding, Edward and Julie are becoming closer. They are learning to depend on each other, but there are still many secrets between them. Ezra messed up when he called a hit on Jasper. Kayla found what she was looking for, but it might be better if she didn't know. Whatever it is, she looks extremely shaken by the contents of the letter.

Jack Whitehall's fiancée Roxy Horner opens up about living with type 1 diabetes as she reunites with comedian in Corfu after 'months apart'

Jack Whitehall 's fiancée Roxy Horner has opened up about living with type 1 diabetes in a candid Instagram post. The model, 34, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that she had reunited with the comedian, 37, for a family holiday to Corfu with their daughter Elsie, one, after 'months apart'. She shared a stunning snap taking in the views while wearing a white tiered summer dress and posed for silly snaps with Jack. In the post, Roxy revealed that travelling with type 1 diabetes can be challenging as she shared that she bring a Dexcom G7 glucose sensor with her to monitor her levels. The glucose monitor could be seen attached to her arm in the snaps, while in a video she showed how it is administered. 'After months apart, we've finally made it to our much needed family holiday in Corfu ❤️ My heart is so full having our little family all together again,' she said. 'Traveling as someone living with type 1 diabetes comes with a lot of baggage (literally, lol) and spontaneity for me means planning, packing and double checking!! 'But thanks to my Dexcom G7 CGM, I've got one less thing to stress about. It gives me the freedom to stay present, enjoy the moment, and soak up every moment with my family. My CGM is waterproof so I can swim whenever I choose, and the 30 minute warm up means I never need to go long without my numbers.' She continued: 'Here's to love, adventure, and tech that makes it all a little easier ✨.' Roxy confirmed her engagement to Jack back in December following a flurry of speculation. She revealed the pair were indeed set to tie the knot as she showed off her pear-shaped diamond ring last month. Taking to her Instagram ahead of New Year's Eve, she shared a compilation of all her highlights from the last two months of 2024, including several looks at her huge sparkler and a glimpse of the moment Jack popped the question. And further confirming that the couple were to become husband and wife, she shared a photo of Jack with the caption: 'Best fiancé in the world', followed by a diamond ring emoji. The video began with Roxy showing a diamond ring balloon and engagement box-themed Christmas tree ornament, before she spun her own hand around to reveal her real ring. 'Traveling as someone living with type 1 diabetes comes with a lot of baggage (literally, lol) and spontaneity for me means planning, packing and double checking!!' she wrote While one shot appeared to hint at Jack's romantic proposal, as Roxy showed off her dazzling rock in front of a line of lit-up Christmas trees. Captioning the special reel, she penned: 'How could I fit in a whole year of highlights in one video? Here is a snippet of the last 2 magical months of 2024, feeling utterly blessed.' The video was met with a plethora of well wishes from her pals and fans, with one notable comment being from her new fiancé, who simply penned: 'My love', along with three red heart emojis. The couple had previously sparked rumours they were set to walk down the aisle, when the mother-of-one showed off a huge diamond ring at Winter Wonderland last month. Snapping selfies with Jack and Elsie, Roxy could also be seen sporting a tear shaped diamond set on a silver band on her engagement finger. The couple have been in a relationship since 2020, before welcoming daughter Elsie in September 2023 at the iconic Lindo Wing, in which a host of royals have given birth. Jack admitted the experience was both 'utterly overwhelming' and 'joyous' in ways he 'couldn't have imagined'. He wrote at the time: 'Well this just happened! Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn't have even imagined. 'In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever. So excited to have started a family of my own. 'Having vowed I'd never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid. I also wore skechers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full blown dad now. Name wise after this weekend I think 'rice, rice, baby' has a nice ring to it.' The couple then revealed Elsie's name which means 'Pledged to God' in Hebrew.
