A vehicle was flipped onto its side following a collision on July 3, 2025. (Submitted: Emma Valencia) Multiple vehicles were involved in a Kitchener collision on Thursday. The Waterloo Regional Police Service were called to the intersection of Westmount Road East and Greenbrook Drive in Kitchener at 5 p.m. In an email at 6:13 p.m., police said there was no word of injuries or charges at the time. Viewer submitted video showed one of the vehicles involved had flipped onto its side, and two other vehicles had front-end damage.

(Malte Luk/ A 26-year-old driver from Markstay faces a stunt driving charge after Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle last week – allegedly travelling more than 70 km/h than the posted speed limit in Wahnapitae. On June 28, police observed the vehicle going 161 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 17. Authorities subsequently laid a stunt driving charge, triggering an automatic 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day licence suspension under provincial law. In an email to CP24, MAS added that the two other geese still alive were transported to the Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge in Pefferlaw, Ont. It is Markham's contracted charitable wildlife rehabilitator. One goose is in critical condition, while the other sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries that include a broken leg and wing, MAS said. Animal services added that the five dead geese were later removed from the road. MAS said citizens expressed concern that the geese may have been intentionally struck but it was unable to substantiate the claims at this time. 'The City of Markham is committed to the protection and humane treatment of all wildlife,' MAS said, urging anyone with information to call 905-415-7531.
